The week kicked off Monday night with a welcome gala attended by many of the tight ends and their partners. Grammy-winning singer and Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift, even made an appearance.
Then on Tuesday evening, TEU hosted a benefit concert at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville, headlined by country star Kane Brown. It was the only event open to the public. To the crowd's surprise, Swift delivered an impromptu performance of her 2014 hit, 'Shake It Off.'

Erling Haaland reaches 300 goals faster than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo
Erling Haaland scored the 300th goal of his career at the FIFA Club World Cup on Thursday, reaching the mark faster than many of his legendary contemporaries. Haaland achieved the milestone in the 52nd minute of Manchester City's 5-2 thumping over Juventus at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, with his team's third goal of the match. It wasn't the most convincing of finishes from the Norwegian, bundling the ball home from close range after a cross from Matheus Nunes left him with an open goal. The ball came off his left leg before ricocheting off his trailing right leg and into an empty net. It nevertheless brought up Haaland's 33rd goal of the season for City. Per ESPN, the 24-year-old reached 300 goals in 370 games, faster than Kylian Mbappé (409 games), Lionel Messi (418 games) and Cristiano Ronaldo (554 games) in their illustrious careers. 'All I can say is congratulations, scoring 300 goals at 24 years old, this is quite good, right?' City manager Pep Guardiola said after the game. 'I'm so happy for Erling, for his goal again and being involved in the short spaces. It was really good.' Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden, Savinho and an own goal from Juve defender Pierre Kalulu helped City to the 5-2 victory on Thursday. The game was also a momentous occasion for midfielder Rodri, who made his first start after suffering a torn ACL last September and missing most of the season. The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner played 65 minutes before being substituted. 'He's the best player in the world,' Guardiola said, per the Guardian. 'He was missed, that was clear. I'm happy hopefully he can help us a lot.' The emphatic victory over Juventus means City topped its Club World Cup group with three wins from three games and will face Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the last 16 on Tuesday in Orlando.

Sabrina Ionescu Reacts to Kate Martin's Big Play After Liberty-Valkyries Game
Sabrina Ionescu Reacts to Kate Martin's Big Play After Liberty-Valkyries Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Kate Martin had arguably the best game of her young WNBA career on Wednesday night as her Golden State Valkyries fell to Sabrina Ionescu and the defending champion New York Liberty, 81-78. Advertisement In front of another sold-out crowd at Chase Center, Martin scored a career-high 21 points on 7-of-15 shooting and 4-of-10 from distance in 24 minutes of action. She also added two rebounds and a steal. Ionescu put up 11 points on 1-of-11 shooting and seven rebounds. Martin scored 12 of her 21 points in the final five minutes of the game. With the Valkyries trailing by six, she sparked a personal 9-2 run to give Golden State the lead. Martin was also the only Valkyries player to score in the final 6:30 of play. Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Yamashita-Imagn Images One of Martin's 3-pointers drew praise from Ionescu. With 1:59 remaining, Martin hit the third long-range shot of her personal run, giving Golden State a one-point lead. The San Francisco crowd erupted in response to her clutch play. After the win, Ionescu spoke to the reporters for a postgame press conference. When asked about playing in "Ballhalla" for the first time, Ionescu, who grew up near San Francisco, mentioned Martin's big 3-pointer. Advertisement "It's kinda fun to be a competitor and have those cheers go against you," Ionescu said. "I think we were able to kind of withstand their runs. They went on huge runs. Kate Martin hit a huge three, feel like the building was about to pop off. So it was just fun." With the loss, Martin and the Valkyries saw their two-game winning streak come to an end, falling to 7-7 to begin the 2025 WNBA season. Ionescu and the Liberty, on the other hand, improve to 11-3 and remain atop the Eastern Conference standings. Insider Reveals Commanders Plans For Upgrade In Key Area
Insider Reveals Commanders Plans For Upgrade In Key Area originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Washington Commanders have very few concerns offensively heading into next season. Assuming they eventually come to terms with Terry McLaurin, they will have the league's best young quarterback surrounded by a dynamic receiving corps, a strong running game and talented offensive line. Advertisement Washington showed they could put up points in a flurry down the stretch against some quality competition as well. Further establishing themselves as a contender requires head coach Dan Quinn to execute system even better this season. Those who follow Quinn know he places an emphasis on rushing the passer. The problem for Washington? Their sacks leader from a year ago, Dante Fowler Jr., left in free agency to join the Cowboys. Fowler posted 10.5 sacks last year, at least five more than any primary pass rusher on the roster had last season. Frankie Luvu did have eight though the defense hopes to generate more production from their front four. Theoretically, that requires a trade. But even a team as aggressive as the Commanders in their talent acquisition is not ready to pull the trigger. Instead, The Athletic's Ben Standig has revealed they intend to see how their current newcomers and returners look at training camp. Advertisement "Does Washington add help on the edge by the start of training camp? My sense after these workouts is … no, and not solely because of those at defensive end. The organization wants a longer look at how new big men Javon Kinlaw, Deatrich Wise Jr. and Eddie Goldman mesh with holdovers Daron Payne, Dorance Armstrong and 2024 second-rounder Johnny Newton in training camp." Standig notes there are plenty of physical traits that would indicate improvement, but the lack of tangible results to refer back to presents a concern. "The group is more physically imposing, at a minimum. Still, it's fair to wonder if this group has enough to help the defensive ranking improve this season. For now, the vibe is wait and see." Perhaps the patience will pay off while the Commanders already have McLaurin's extension still to figure out ahead of training camp. Whomever rises from this group, Washington must ensure production from this area of the defense.
