In what left fans nostalgic, Girish Kumar was spotted out and about in the city. Paparazzi captured the actor when he was headed to a venue. While en route, Girish stopped for a moment to acknowledge the photographers stationed outside the venue and even interacted with them. Posing patiently for the paparazzi, Girish, with his infectious smile, reminded fans of the magic he created in Ramaiya Vastavaiya. The film marked Girish's Bollywood debut opposite Shruti Haasan.

The video featuring the actor transported fans back to the times when Girish marked his debut with Ramaiya Vastavaiya. A fan wrote, 'Bro gave one hit and disappeared (sic)," whereas another commented, 'He made our childhood so beautiful and memorable (sic)."
Girish Kumar is the producer of Kumar S Taurani's son. In the Prabhu Deva directorial Ramaiya Vastavaiya, he starred opposite Shruti Haasan. Sonu Sood, Randhir Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon, the late Vinod Khanna and others also played a key role in the film. A remake of the director's Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, the romantic drama's music was a hit while the film performed just average at the box office.
As for Girish, he garnered critical acclaim for his performance, earning nominations for Best Debut or Newcomer at three awards shows. After Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Girish was seen in only one film – Loveshhuda. The romantic comedy, released in 2016, featured him alongside Navneet Kaur Dhillon. After the film failed at the box office, Girish decided to quit acting, bidding adieu to the entertainment world.
After leaving his acting career, Girish decided to join his family business. He began assisting his father and uncle in running the Tips empire. Now, Girish serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at their company, a major film production, distribution, and music company. It is valued at Rs 4,700 crore. Following his transition from a leading actor to a behind-the-scenes role, he now focuses on the distribution of numerous high-profile films. These films include the Ponniyin Selvan series, Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas and other upcoming projects.
