Saudi Tourism invites investors for Riyadh's development
The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Tourism held a meeting with investors and operators in the tourism sector at the Riyadh Chamber to discuss opportunities for sector development in the capital and ways to enable tourism businesses to comply with tourism laws and regulations, reported SPA.
As part of its ongoing efforts to regulate the sector and enhance the quality of services offered to tourists, the ministry reviewed the services it provides, the process for obtaining operating licenses, opportunities for expanding tourism investments, and the support available through the Tourism Investment Enablers Programme, aimed at streamlining the licensing journey for investors.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to empowering national cadres to lead the tourism sector and promoting the localisation of professions and jobs within it. It also highlighted training opportunities available to national cadres, particularly in Taif.
During the meeting, the ministry listened to the suggestions and inquiries of investors and operators, emphasising the importance of collaboration to overcome challenges and provide comprehensive support to drive the advancement of the tourism sector.

Nominations open for inaugural Tourise Awards
The Tourise Awards officially launched on Monday as a new global benchmark celebrating excellence in tourism destinations. Created to honour places that are shaping the future of travel, the awards spotlight destinations delivering meaningful, memorable, and measurable value across the traveller journey. Nominations are now open to individual travellers, industry professionals, and organisations passionate about recognising the world's most exceptional places. The Tourise Awards are an extension of the Tourise platform powered by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism and announced via a virtual press conference on May 22. In line with the Tourise ethos, the awards take a bold stance recognising destinations with a strong sense of identity, measurable impact, and responsible management. Eligible destinations must have (i) a defined geographic scope (a city, region or site), (ii) a distinct identity and character that stems from culture, landscapes and attractions that shape how the destination is perceived by travelers, and finally (iii) must be backed by a tourism governing body responsible for ensuring a destination is effectively managed. The Tourise Awards feature five distinct award categories: Best Arts and Culture Destination, Best Adventure Destination, Best Food and Culinary Destination, Best Shopping Destination, and Best Entertainment Destination. In addition, a flagship Best Overall Destination award will recognise the destination that excels across all aspects of the traveler experience — setting a new global benchmark as the most exceptional place to visit. Haramain High-Speed Railway to transport 2m pilgrims during Hajj
The Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) is continuing to implement its operational plan for the Hajj season through the Haramain High-Speed Railway, one of the fastest trains in the world, with speeds reaching up to 300 km/h. SAR has scheduled more than 4,700 trips throughout the season, providing over two million seats for pilgrims - an increase of more than 400,000 seats compared to last season, reported SPA. This expansion is part of SAR's broader efforts to facilitate pilgrims' travel and enhance their overall experience. The Haramain High-Speed Railway is a key component of the kingdom's national transportation network. Designed to provide a smart and highly efficient mode of travel, it links key religious and economic cities along a 453-km electric rail line, with five main stations: Makkah, Jeddah (Central Station), King Abdulaziz International Airport, King Abdullah Economic City, and Madinah, stated the report. The station at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah is the largest of its kind globally in terms of integration with an international airport. It enables seamless passenger transfers between flights and rail without exiting the airport premises, enhancing the interconnectivity between air and land travel, it stated. In cooperation with relevant entities, SAR is also continuing its 'Hajj Without a Baggage' initiative for the second consecutive year. The programme ensures that pilgrims' luggage is transported directly from their departure airports to their accommodations in Makkah, allowing them to travel aboard the Haramain Railway immediately upon arrival without handling their baggage, said the SPA report. The Haramain High-Speed Railway reflects the Kingdom's commitment to developing modern infrastructure that supports integrated, safe, and environmentally sustainable public transport. It plays a vital role in raising the efficiency and quality of services offered to pilgrims, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, it added.

Hospitality Facilities Will Face Maximum Fine of SR1 Million
