Cops in San Antonio, Texas, discovered Joss's body on Sunday night after hearing reports of a shooting, according to TMZ.
Witnesses said they heard the actor in a shouting match and watched in horror as a neighbor fired multiple shots before tearing away in a car.
Officials arrested the suspect one block away from the crime scene as paramedics urgently tried to perform life-saving measures.
However, Joss couldn't be saved, and he was declared dead at the home.
The 59-year-old actor is most known for voicing John Redcorn in King of the Hill from season 2 through the penultimate season 13.

Fabio Wardley thought he was being SCAMMED on Facebook when Oleksandr Usyk asked him for sparring

Usyk was preparing to defend his undisputed cruiserweight titles against Britain's Tony Bellew at the time. So when the former recruitment consultant got a message to join Usyk's camp in Kyiv - he could not quite believe it. Wardley told The Times: "I got this message on Facebook in broken English and at first I thought it might be a scam. 'I was confused as to why I'd even be on Usyk's radar. I'd left my job in London to focus on my career and I was working part-time in a commercial gym. I flew to Ukraine and a driver had a sign with my name on it. "He didn't speak a lick of English and I got into this stranger's white van and I thought, 'I don't know if I'm making it home', but then I met his team and they were all really nice. "I was extremely green. I didn't know the scale of Usyk's skill. To even lay a glove on him was really difficult. "I think I got something like £750 per week.' 4 CASINO SPECIAL - BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Wardley's success is one of the most unlikely in British boxing after forgoing amateur experience. His handful of white collar fights started as a way of keeping fit and ended with aspirations of a genuine pro career. Fabio Wardley faces off with Justis Huni ahead of his homecoming fight Wardley got his break in 2018 after sparring with Dillian Whyte and later being signed to his management stable. And he has since racked up 18 wins with just one draw - against Frazer Clarke which he brutally avenged in their rematch. Wardley now has the chance to put himself in line for the heavyweight titles former sparring partner Usyk holds. He said: 'When I turned professional, I just thought I'd have a few fights and if I could win any kind of belt in my career, I'd be happy to have something decent to look back on. 'I wasn't supposed to be achieving these kinds of things. I got this message on Facebook in broken English and at first I thought it might be a scam. I was confused as to why I'd even be on Usyk's radar. Fabio Wardley "I fought at the O2, then I headlined the O2, I've fought in Saudi Arabia as the chief support to Tyson Fury and to Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol. "It keeps feeling like we've peaked and that it can't get any better and now I'm fighting at the stadium in my hometown. "I'm genuinely on the edge of a world title, which sounds crazy for me just to say.' Wardley, 30, references his homecoming Ipswich fight at Portman Road against Australian Justis Huni, 26, on Saturday. He was initially set to fight Jarrell Miller - the controversial serial drug cheat - until the American pulled out due to "injury". So Aussie Huni - who won gold at the amateur World Youth Championships in 2016 - filled in as a late replacement on five weeks' notice. Wardley said: 'Huni is another opponent from a completely different end of entry in boxing terms. 'After starting in white-collar, anything was a win. This wasn't realistic, but you always imagine.'

Scots butcher shop 'bars' Nigel Farage after t-bone steak by-election drama

EXCLUSIVE: Award winning Strachan Craft Butchers issued a Facebook post saying the Reform UK leader's trip to the shop was nothing to do with them A Larkhall butcher has 'barred' Nigel Farage after he ambushed them with a T-bone steak by-election stunt. Strachan Craft Butchers , a popular shop in the town, has told customers the Reform UK leader's trip was not planned after they received complaints. ‌ In a Facebook message, they wrote: '#Farageisbarred' ‌ The right-wing leader paid a visit to the award winning butcher's on Monday during a brief campaign visit for the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse by-election. He was accompanied by the BBC and the stop-off was covered in the wider media. But Strachan Craft Butchers faced a negative reaction from customers and have said the visit was not agreed in advance. In a social media message, they wrote: 'Posting this to stop any further accusations or loss of customers 'Today we received 2 emails from disgruntled customers about Nigel Farage visiting our Larkhall shop on Monday 2nd June. 'It's imperative that our customers know that this was NOT a planned visit and we had no control over this. ‌ 'Mr F swanned in with his party and the BBC to buy a T Bone steak.' The business added: 'There was no political conversation and only compliments were exchanged regarding the shop and counter. 'Today, Tuesday 3rd June, the BBC returned to the shop to ask for the Teams political views … and as you can imagine, they were politely asked to leave. ‌ 'This unannounced visit has made the BBC news and the Times newspaper and has caused a backlash for our business.' They continued: 'We need our customers to know that we have never and will never support any party or political views. ‌ "We cannot stop individuals visiting our shops, but this doesn't define us personally or professionally. 'We've had many politicians visit our Butchers and Bistro over the years, and for that we are always grateful, but this is the first we've had any sort of backlash. 'These emails are frustrating to read, and the customers have been contacted and both have apologised to us for passing judgment and jumping to conclusions, but it's 2 emails too many, and we fear there may be others.' ‌ The email signed off "What a palava over one wee man" followed by an emoji and: "#Farageisbarred.' One of the complaints to the butcher shop stated: 'I'd like to know why you've allowed fascists into your shop to openly campaign. Reform are a fascist organisation and shouldn't be welcome anywhere, although unsurprisingly they were welcome in your Larkhall premises. Definitely a company to avoid.' Another email read: 'I will no longer be buying any of your food products.' Farage was accused of "bottling" a session with the media in Hamilton after his walk about in Larkhall.
