Gaza: Mediators Suggest a New Ceasefire Plan
Rabat — As Israeli Occupation Forces' (IOF) continued bombardments worsen the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, Egypt has suggested a new long-term ceasefire plan to settle the dire situation in the Palestinian enclave.
According to reports, the Egyptian plan suggests a five- to seven-year truce, a full exchange of Israeli hostages and Palestinian detainees, the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and a complete Israeli withdrawal from the enclave.
Sources informed that an Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo on Sunday to hold talks concerning the ceasefire proposal. Meanwhile, a Hamas delegation was reportedly expected to be in Cairo to hold talks with mediators.
The development comes days after Hamas leadership opposed any 'partial' truce with Israel, effectively rejecting the country's ceasefire proposal, which included disarming the Palestinian group in return for a six-week truce.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu then vowed he would bring the remaining hostages back home without surrendering to Hamas' demands, describing this as a 'decisive phase' for Israel.

The inhumane situation in Gaza is alarming. Israel has blocked food and aid entry to the enclave for 50 days now, leading to an extremely dire shortage of food, water, and other vital items.
Philippe Lazzarini, the commissioner-general of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has issued a stark warning, describing the blockade as 'deliberate and man-made.'
Lazzarni lashed out at Israel for employing humanitarian aid as a 'weapon of war' and a means of pressure. 'How long will it take for empty words of condemnation to translate into action to lift the blockade, resume a ceasefire, and save what remains of humanity?' he wrote on X.
A Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) report cited medical sources as indicating that IOF genocidal assaults have killed at least 26 Palestinians and injured 60 others in the Gaza Strip over the last 24 hours. Tags: EgyptGazaGaza ceasefireHamas and Hamas

Houthi leader condemns Morocco-Israel military cooperation at African Lion
In a recent speech, Abdelmalek El Houthi sharply criticized the military cooperation between Morocco and Israel, specifically highlighting a joint «air exercise». He pointed to the participation of Israeli military personnel in the Moroccan phase of «African Lion 2025», which took place from May 12 to 23. «Arab countries participated in these trainings with the Zionist enemy», he lamented, without naming them. Notably, Qatar's military was also involved in the Iniochos 2025 air exercise organized by Greece from March 24 to April 13, which included an F-15 aircraft. El Houthi, however, chose to overlook Qatar's participation. Instead, he focused on Morocco, stating that «the Moroccan monarchic regime is involved in normalization». El Houthi condemned the presence of Israeli pilots in the Moroccan military exercise as «treason», emphasizing that «the Zionist air force commits crimes in Gaza against the Palestinian people». The Houthi leader had previously accused Morocco of «treason» in June 2024, claiming that «Morocco strengthened its economic cooperation with the Israeli enemy» during an earlier speech.

Spain : A Sumar draft bill to break agreements with Morocco and Israel
The Sumar group in the Spanish Parliament has introduced a draft law aimed at prohibiting all forms of agreements and cooperation between Spanish administrations and countries occupying territories illegally. The focus is particularly on Morocco—referred to as the «occupier of Western Sahara»—and Israel in relation to the occupied Palestinian territories, according to Spanish media sources. The proposal calls for banning Spanish companies from engaging in commercial, financial, or investment activities that directly or indirectly support illegal settlements in these territories. It describes such activities as a form of «plunder» against the Sahrawi and Palestinian peoples. The initiative also seeks to sever all forms of cooperation—economic, military, cultural, and more—with these countries. It requires Spanish public entities to annul any existing agreements and prohibits the establishment of diplomatic representation or the signing of international treaties related to the occupied territories. Techi Sidi, a parliamentarian of Sahrawi descent and a member of the leftist party, explained that the draft law is grounded in United Nations resolutions and rulings by the European Court of Justice, particularly on the Western Sahara issue. The proposal also addresses the Palestinian cause, urging the Spanish Socialist Party to support the measure as a means of applying economic pressure on both Morocco and Israel.
