Young sons' initiative leads to touching raya gift for mother
According to the woman, she had never asked for such a gift, but it came from the sincerity of her children's hearts.
A 46-second video shared by Khadijah on her TikTok account @ijahahmad90 garnered over 455,000 views and 16,800 likes.
SHAH ALAM – A woman from Tumpat, Kelantan, never expected that her two sons would use their duit raya to buy her a gold ring as a gift.
The mother, Siti Khadijah Ahmad, 35, said that her sons, Muhammad Danish Irfan Tajuddin, 11, and Muhammad Danish Idlan, 7, expressed their desire to buy her a ring.
According to the woman, who is fondly known as Ijah Ahmad, she had never asked for such a gift, but it came from the sincerity of her children's hearts.
'For a long time, my children have liked seeing me wear jewellery and they often ask about the price and the ornaments I have.
'This year, they said, 'Mama, we want to buy gold for Mama.'
As a mother, I was deeply touched by their gesture,' she told Sinar on Saturday.
Earlier, a 46-second video shared by Khadijah on her TikTok account @ijahahmad90 garnered over 455,000 views and 16,800 likes.
Further elaborating, the bakery business owner shared that her two sons chose the ring, worth about RM950, themselves from a gold shop in the same district.
'When I wore the gold ring, my children were so happy and excited to see me wearing their gift,' she said.
She added that she had previously bought gold bars as savings for their future and always strived to make them happy by buying toys and other necessities.
Now, she said, her children were returning her love in their own special way.
Commenting on the issue of faraid (Islamic inheritance law) raised by some netizens, Khadijah emphasised that it was not an issue since the ring was bought using her children's money for their future.
'Moreover, I just wanted to make my children happy and recorded a video when they bought the ring to keep as a memory. I didn't expect it to go viral on TikTok,' she said.

#SHOWBIZ: Actress Saidah Kamarudin cancels wedding, claims ex has only RM500 in bank account
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian actress Saidah Kamarudin has revealed the reasons behind her decision to call off her engagement to fellow actor Muhammad Muntazar Ghufran in October last year. The former couple became engaged in May 2024, following a year of dating. In a recent interview, Saidah, 29, cited financial instability as a primary factor in her decision to end the wedding plans. She claimed that Muntazar, 22, had only RM500 in his bank account. "You should be looking for a job or continuing your studies," she lamented. The actress further alleged that following their breakup, Muntazar hacked into her TikTok account and posted fabricated comments under her name in an attempt to damage her reputation. It's understood that Saidah filed a police report at the Setia Alam police station in Shah Alam, Selangor, on May 31. "When Muntazar and I were still together, we shared the passwords to our social media accounts. After we broke up, I changed my passwords and removed all access." Meanwhile, Muntazar has refuted Saidah's claims that he was unable to afford their wedding. The actor explained that he told her he had additional funds invested in unit trusts. "I told Saidah about it, but she told me that's investment savings and not actual money. If it's true that I have only RM500 in savings, how is it possible for me to pay close to RM1,000 monthly for my car while also giving my family around RM1,000?" he argued.

One user on TikTok asked whether if the furniture remained in the house while it was being transported. The owner of the house said all the furniture remained in place while the pink home was floating to its new destination. Meanwhile, many also asked her to share a video of the house once it has reached its new destination. The woman obliged and uploaded a second video on her TikTok account showing her home safely sitting on stilts at its new location. Those who watched the unconventional house-moving process also shared some hilarious comments, such as how confusing it would be for couriers when they send a parcel to her address, only to find that the entire house is not there anymore.
