North Korea Launches Warship
Pyongyang - Saba:
North Korea announced the launch of a new warship, the Choehyon, which is believed to be superior to European destroyers in terms of firepower.
Military Watch Magazine stated that the Choehyon has a displacement of 5,000 tons and could be considered one of the most powerful frigates in the world, although some Russian sources say the Choehyon is not a frigate but a destroyer.

UK Parliament agrees to debate investigation into Government's Involvement in Gaza Genocide
London – SABA: The British Parliament on Wednesday approved the discussion of the 'Gaza Bill,' which seeks to open an investigation into the British government's potential involvement in the genocide committed by the Israeli enemy against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Former Labour Party leader and MP Jeremy Corbyn submitted the bill today, according to the 'Sanad' news agency. Corbyn stated in media remarks: 'Today I am presenting a bill to investigate Britain's involvement in Israel's military operations in the Gaza Strip.' He added: 'MPs must decide whether they will support an investigation into Britain's role in genocide, or whether they will obstruct it.' UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer had earlier indicated that Britain is working with what he described as 'allies' to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. In press statements on Wednesday, Starmer said, 'The situation in Gaza is horrific, and aid must be allowed in.' He expressed opposition to the Israeli assault on Gaza and the West Bank, stating: 'We oppose the Israeli military operation in Gaza and settler violence in the West Bank. What Israel is doing is intolerable.' With U.S. and European support, the Israeli occupation army has, since October 7, 2023, been committing acts of genocide in the Gaza Strip, resulting in the martyrdom of 54,607 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and the injury of 125,341 others, according to non-final figures, as thousands remain trapped under rubble or in streets unreachable by rescue teams. Putin: Kyiv regime doesn't want peace—It would mean losing power
Moscow – Saba: Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday that the current Kyiv regime has no interest in peace, as it would likely mean losing power. For them, maintaining control is more important than peace or the lives of people. During a video meeting with Russian government officials, Putin accused Kyiv's authorities of lacking "even the most basic political culture." He claimed that recent crimes against civilians, including women and children, were deliberately committed ahead of a new round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations to disrupt the peace process. "All the crimes against civilians before the proposed Istanbul peace talks were clearly aimed at sabotaging negotiations. These attacks on civilians were intentional," Putin said. He further criticized Ukrainian officials, stating, "We are dealing with people who lack competence in everything, even basic political decency. They make irresponsible statements targeting those trying to negotiate with them." Putin also alleged that decisions on "terrorist attacks" in Russia's Bryansk and Kursk regions were made at Ukraine's political level. "The recent railway explosions in Bryansk and Kursk were acts of terrorism, and such decisions were undoubtedly made by Ukraine's political leadership," he asserted. He described the Bryansk incident as a deliberate attack on civilians, emphasizing that such actions qualify as terrorism under international standards. Additionally, Putin claimed that Ukraine is suffering heavy losses and retreating along the frontlines. "Today, faced with massive casualties and setbacks across the entire combat zone, Kyiv's leadership has resorted to terrorism to intimidate Russia," he said. Moscow: Kyiv list in Istanbul discloses claimed kidnap of children
Moscow - Saba: Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced that the list of 339 Ukrainian minors submitted by the Kyiv delegation in Istanbul came as a shock to those who had spent three years spreading cynical lies about "tens of thousands" of allegedly abducted children. Sputnik quoted Zakharova as saying on her Telegram channel: "Unfortunately, the UN Secretariat was one of the distributors of fake products. We remember well how they told stories about Bucha, about 'thousands of abducted Ukrainian children,' and accused Russian soldiers of committing sexual violence against Ukrainian women." She continued: "For three years, the Secretary-General (Antonio Guterres) has still not been able to obtain a list of Bucha's alleged victims, despite regular reminders from Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov." She added: "With the accusations against Russian soldiers, Guterres' representatives made a mockery of the whole world: they turned out to be completely fabricated, based on outright lies and the sick fantasies of representatives of the Kyiv regime. The stories about tens of thousands of allegedly abducted children also turned out to be false, as the list of wanted Ukrainian minors handed over in Istanbul (which has yet to be examined) includes only 339 people. This came as a shock to everyone involved in spreading this satirical hoax for three years." In April 2022, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that photos and videos published by Kyiv, allegedly showing crimes committed by the Russian military in Bucha, Kyiv Oblast, constituted yet another Ukrainian provocation. It noted that during Russia's control of the city, no local residents were subjected to any violence. The Ministry of Defense noted that all Russian units had completely withdrawn from Bucha on March 30, 2022, and that the city's northern exits were not blocked. Meanwhile, the southern outskirts, including residential areas, were subjected to 24-hour shelling by Ukrainian forces with large-caliber artillery, tanks, and multiple rocket launchers. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia categorically rejected any accusations of involvement in the deaths in Bucha and called on international leaders not to rush to level arbitrary accusations against Russia but to listen to Moscow's arguments.
