Police are appealing for information about another vehicle in relation to the murder of Kyle Whorrall in St Johns over Easter Weekend.
The vehicle, a silver 2004 Mitsubishi Grandis, registration GNG652, is believed to be connected to people Police would like to speak to.
We believe they have crucial information to share with us about the events surrounding Kyle's tragic death.
The vehicle may have travelled to Northland in recent days.
Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin is asking those occupants to make contact with Police as soon as possible.
'These people of interest could have the information we are looking for that will help us understand why Kyle was killed.
'We know they are likely feeling apprehensive about speaking with us, but we are asking them come forward as soon as possible. It is time to do the right thing.
'If you have any information about this vehicle or the people involved, we also want to hear from you.
'We will be continuing to carry out our enquiries to locate this vehicle and the people with it as a matter of urgency.'

Gunman opens fire in Austrian school, killing 10 and throwing country into shock

Photo: AFP / ERWIN SCHERIAU A shooter opened fire at a high school in the Austrian city of Graz on Tuesday, killing 10 people, including teenagers, in one of the worst rampages in the country's history. Austrian police and hospital officials confirmed the fatalities, raising the death toll from an earlier figure of nine. The country's interior ministry told CNN that the victims included children between 14 and 18 years old. Interior minister Gerhard Karner said at a news conference that six victims were female and three were male. Twelve students were injured in the incident, some of them seriously, Karner added. Graz University Hospital later said one of the seriously injured adults died on Tuesday evening. The suspect - a 21-year-old Austrian male who had previously attended the school but not graduated - used two weapons, a shotgun and a pistol, to carry out the killing spree, before fatally shooting himself in a bathroom, authorities said at the news conference. Officials would not give a motive for the gunman, who they say acted alone. Police believe he obtained the weapons he used legally. The weapons were seized at the scene and subject to forensic examinations. Officers are also continuing to conduct interviews as they investigate the circumstances of the incident, police added. The shooting pitched Austria into a state of shock and disbelief. Chancellor Christian Stocker announced three days of national mourning, writing on X: "There are no words for the pain and grief." Officers first responded to the reports of "several" suspected gunshots at the Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium Dreierschützengasse school in the northwest of Graz at around 10am local time (4am ET). Several vehicles and a police helicopter were deployed to the site. The school was evacuated and the area was secured, with no further danger expected, the police said on social media. Police said later in a statement that special forces were also deployed to the scene. Stocker expressed horror at the shooting, saying: "The rampage at a school in Graz is a national tragedy that has deeply shaken our entire country. This inconceivable act suddenly tore young people from the life they still had ahead of them." Ursula von der Leyen, the president of the European Commission, said: "It is difficult to bear when schools become places of death and violence." Several vigils for the victims will take place on Tuesday evening in Graz, including one coordinated by local youth organizations. Gun violence is rare in Austria, along with most central European countries. The country's rate of firearm homicides was just 0.1 per 100,000 people in 2021, according to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, compared to 4.5 per 100,000 people in the United States. But Austria's gun ownership is higher than most European Union countries; there are 30 civilian firearms owned for every 100 citizens, according to the Small Arms Survey, a research institute based in Switzerland. A small number of high-profile violent incidents have taken place there in recent years. Last October, the mayor of a northern Austrian town was shot dead, along with another victim. LynnMall attack inquest: Police set to give evidence

The coronial inquest into the death of LynnMall attacker Ahamed Samsudeen continues on Wednesday, after a forensic pathologist explained why he had zero chance of surviving as many as a dozen gunshot wounds . Samsudeen stabbed four women and one man with a kitchen knife at a Countdown supermarket in Auckland's New Lynn in 2021, before being shot and killed by police. Two others were injured trying to stop him from harming others. Forensic pathologist Dr Kilak Kesha conducted the post-mortem on Samsudeen after his death. He told the inquest the attacker died quickly from the gunshot wounds, describing four of them as rapidly fatal because they pierced vital organs. Kesha described a bullet that passed through the left side of Samsudeen's chest, while being questioned by police counsel Alysha McClintock. "That's one of the wounds that you considered may have been among those the most rapidly fatal?" McClintock asked. 'Yes, because it passed through the spleen, and the intestines," Kesha said. Kesha described some of the other gunshot wounds and the impact these had on Samsudeen's body. "It passed through the heart, the lungs, causing significant bleeding. This one passed through the aorta, the liver, the stomach, and small bowel, causing blood to accumulate in the abdomen." Ross Tomlinson. A former paramedic with a decade's experience, he said he believed Samsudeen could not have been saved. McClintock asked Kesha what impact as many as a dozen gunshot wounds would have. "Is there anything else that you would add about the overall impact on the human body of receiving a total of potentially up to 12 gunshot wounds?" she said. "After the autopsy, looking at all the injuries, survivability is zero," Kesha replied. Coroner Marcus Elliott asked about Samsudeen's movements in the moments after he was shot. "Death is not instantaneous - it takes time to bleed, your heart's got to pump and that blood's got to be lost through the broken vessels," Kesha said. "People can walk, they can stumble, they can take a few steps, it depends how rapidly the blood is lost." "So if he had formed the intention at that point to charge, to use that word, it would have been possible for him to do so?" Elliott asked, with Kesha responding that was correct. Residents at Wellington Council flats stressed by Oliver Hayes' unexplained death

Photo: RNZ / REECE BAKER A community co-ordinator in the Wellington Council-run apartment block where a dubstep musician was found dead said residents were apprehensive and stressed by the unexplained death. Police confirmed they were investigating after 40 year-old musician Oliver Hayes was found dead in the Newtown Park Apartments on Saturday. Liz Heta said she had to be careful when talking about his death among the tenants. "Just not knowing what happened is the biggest thing. They feel that they're just left wondering what happened. If someone starts up a conversation and one of these people are here I will shut it down because this person's going to go back to their flat and be upset all night. It's a bit much sometimes," Heta said. Heta said Hayes was the second person to die in the flats in the last fortnight, after another resident suffered a heart attack earlier in the week. A long-time Newtown resident - who did not want to be named - said the large police presence investigating Hayes' death was upsetting for children in the neighbourhood. She said loud or disruptive behaviour was not uncommon in the area, but the flats were also home to a vibrant and diverse community. "It's really, really sad. I feel sad for my friends at the flat. I feel sad for Newtown because Newtown's a beautiful place. It's a diverse place and that's why we love it," she said. The resident said - despite regular police callouts to the flats - the number of police in the neighbourhood on Saturday showed that something serious had happened. Musicians and friends took to social media to pay tribute to Hayes describing him as a pioneer in the Drum n Bass and Dub-step scene in New Zealand and Australia. One artist who did not want to be named called him a "true icon for sound production" and the "most badass producer of bass music this side of the globe has ever seen". Police were called to the death on Mansfield Street at around 7.15pm. In a post on social media his sister Louise Hayes said her brother, who was also known as Olie Bassweight, had been found unexpectedly dead on Saturday. "There is a police investigation. It seems something terrible might have happened to him. We wait for answers." Louise said Olie had touched many with his music, philosophy, curiosity and passion. "His light was like no other. We are heartbroken and thrown into tumultuous grief and shock. I don't know what else to say." Police said their inquires into the circumstance surrounding Hayes's death were ongoing. "Police are appealing for anyone who knew Mr Hayes and who had recent contact with him, to please contact us immediately. "Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen Mr Hayes in the days prior to Saturday evening, in particular residents of the apartment complex who may have seen him moving about."
