Israeli army says officer, soldier seriously injured in Gaza
Occupied Quds - Saba:
The Israeli army on Friday stated that an officer and a soldier from the Golani Brigade were seriously wounded during the fighting in the southern Gaza Strip with Palestinian factions.
An Israeli army spokesperson said in two separate statements that a soldier from the 12th Battalion of the Golani Brigade was seriously wounded, and an officer was moderately wounded, in separate clashes with Palestinian groups in the southern Gaza Strip. They were transferred to the hospital for treatment, and their families were notified.
The Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip continues, amid a violent bombing campaign by the Israeli Air Force on densely populated areas and displacement centers. The latest attack was in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City, where raids killed 38 civilians and wounded 85 others, most of them women and children.
This escalation comes on the 25th day of the resumption of Israeli aggression, as Defense Minister Yisrael Katz threatens to expand military operations throughout the Gaza Strip.
In the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army continued to target shelters and civilian homes, using new weapons, according to Dr. Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals at the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
"Most of the wounded are arriving at hospitals with severe burns," he said, calling for the urgent opening of the crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian and medical aid.
