Tastefully Yours – K-drama Episode 7 Recap & Review

The Restaurant I Loved
Episode 7 of Tastefully Yours begins with manager Lee Yu-jin waking up inside Chun-seung's garage, where Beom-woo locked him. He finds a book titled Jungjae's Recipes but it's filled with random news clippings.
We then shift to Japan where Beom-woo is on a phone call with Young-hye. He is shocked to learn that Jeon Min is replacing her at Han Sun-woo's restaurant La Lecel. He is ready to storm back inside and confront Min but he sees him and Yeon-joo laughing together. Min tries to convince Yeon-joo to return to Le Murir but she says no. Min then gets a call from Sun-woo and excuses himself for the night.
Yeon-joo and Beom-woo continue drinking and try to think of what Yeon-joo should cook for Chef Tatsuo. Yeon-joo describes how much she respected Tatsuo but he changed after getting one Diamant star.
They walk around and go to a ramen restaurant where they eat uni ramen. The owner turns out to be a friend of Tatsuo's, who taught him how to make uni ramen. A flashback shows Tatsuo saying the ramen 'isn't how the kid made it.' The kid in question, of course, is Yeon-joo.
Yeon-joo recalls how she made it for the staff one day. Since Tatsuo seemed to be looking for it, Beom-woo suggests she cook it for him. She gives him a quick kiss and then runs off to buy ingredients. After she's gone, Han-woo texts Min and says he wants to meet.
Back in South Korea, Chun-seung gives Yu-jin some food while he's still locked inside the garage. When Yu-jin threatens to break all his liquor bottles, Chun-seung lets him out for a minute. At the same time, Young-hye arrives and she and Yu-jin lock Chun-seung inside the garage instead. She then tells Yu-jin that she needs Yeon-joo's recipes by this weekend because Diamant inspectors are coming to Motto.
In Sapporo, Beom-woo meets with Min. He reveals he knows about the merger between Hansang and Murir. He accuses Min of knowing that the long-term plan is to shut Murir down. Min retorts with his own suspicions about Beom-woo.
The next day, Yeon-joo goes shopping for ingredients but Beom-woo doesn't meet her, as they had planned. He meets her in the afternoon at Le Murir where she is preparing to cook uni ramen.
In the bin, Yeon-joo finds some pills but Min brushes them off as being for stress. They successfully recreate the dish and bring it in front of Tatsuo. For the first time in days, Tatsuo eats a full meal. He also remembers Yeon-joo!
Despite it being too late, he apologises to her for the pufferfish incident. They share some heartfelt words and make up. Min then announces to his staff members that he will now be the chef-owner of Le Murir. He has also had to bring in an outside investor to save the restaurant.
However, Yeon-joo confronts him about the medicines she found earlier. They are medicines for Alzheimer's and she accuses him of keeping them from Tatsuo, so that Min had more time to find a buyer for the restaurant. Min reveals that the restaurant is in a bad state and about to be shut down. He had no choice.
Beom-woo then throws Min another curveball. A flashback shows Beom-woo take an early flight back to South Korea to interrupt a Hansang board meeting. He claims to have been reinstated as a board member (after a phone call with his mother) and uses his position to reject the M&A proposal for Le Murir.
At present, Min is furious enough to punch Beom-woo. Chef Tatsuo puts an end to the chaos and calls everyone inside. Tatsuo knows how much Min cares about Murir but tells him that selling it is not a solution. He assures him they'll find a solution together.
Later, Min apologises to Yeon-joo as well. She tells him she'll always remember their time together and they bid each other goodbye. On the flight back, Yeon-joo rests her head on Beom-woo's shoulder, much to his delight. Beom-woo then gets a text message from his mother, saying he owes her.
Beom-woo and Yeon-joo return to town and learn that Chun-seung hasn't shown up for work. Beom-woo suddenly remembers about Yu-jin and rushes to free him from the garage, surprised to find Chun-seung there instead.
He learns what happened and then rushes to the restaurant and looks for the Jungjae recipe book. Unfortunately, it's gone. A flashback shows Yu-jin and Young-hye breaking into the restaurant and stealing the recipe book.
At present, she and her staff get ready for the Diamant inspectors. Beom-woo drives towards Seoul, desperate to stop her and Tastefully Yours Episode 7 comes to a close.
The Episode Review
Tastefully Yours Episode 7 brings in some intriguing twists and turns. Min's deal with Hansang turns out to be more complicated than expected. Keeping an old man's medicines from him is a pretty twisted thing to do, even if he does do it out of concern for the other staff members. On the one hand, it's a pleasant surprise that the truth is more complex and requires a certain amount of debate. On the other, Min's deal with the medicines is glossed over a bit too quickly.
I can't imagine anyone embracing Min the way Tatsuo did, not after learning what he's done. Like some other part of the drama, it's also incredibly convenient how Yeon-joo and Beom-woo come across the exact restaurant that belongs to Tatsuo's friend.
Still, this plotline adds some spice and melodrama to the series. It even offers a nice segue to Beom-woo, who will sooner or later have to tell Yeon-joo the truth. He's truly head over heels for Yeon-joo by now and while that transition was a tad uneven, lovestruck Beom-woo is an entertaining watch. Overall, the story has picked up speed and energy and the cliffhanger promises a lot more drama.

The secret meaning behind Ariana Grande's wedding scene in Wicked: For Good trailer as fans go wild for surprise Easter Egg

The first trailer for Wicked: For Good was bound to send fans into a frenzy, as they await the conclusion of the Oz-based tale in November. But while it was no surprise that fans are excited to see Ariana Grande reprise her role as the sorceress Glinda, others were quick to spot a cheeky Easter Egg from director Jon M. Chu buried in the preview. The film sees Glinda prepare to marry Prince Fiyero (played by Jonathan Bailey), after becoming a pawn in the Wizard and Madame Morrible's attempts to bring down Elphaba. And in the trailer, fans see the moment Glinda walks down the aisle in a stunning white bridal gown. However, social media sleuths were quick to spot the wedding's decor bore a striking resemblance to the 2018 film Crazy Rich Asians, which Chu also directed. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. In the stunning scene, Singaporean socialites Araminta Lee and Colin Khoo are just minutes away from tying the knot in a jaw-dropping $40 million affair, while lovebirds Nick and Rachel struggle with their own feelings in the midst of growing tensions. Filmed in a lavish former convent in the heart of the nation's trendiest neighbourhood, the scene sees stunning bride Araminta making her entrance as water slowly trickles down the aisle dusted with petals and lined with lush greenery. And it seems that Glinda's own big day will bear some resemblance, with flowers and topiary lining the aisle as she is unveiled in a beautiful bridal gown. Comparisons of the two weddings quickly popped up on X, with posts including: 'That man is a miracle worker! 'The fact his last 4 movies have been both sorts of Wicked, In The Heights and Crazy Rich Asians. He does not miss a beat; 'Jon M. Chu's growth as a director is really impressive. When you look at the majority of his filmography, you realise that CRAZY RICH ASIANS was the turning point of his career where he really began to step it up as a director. Eager to see if he sticks the landing with FOR GOOD;' 'The wedding scene from Crazy Rich Asians lives rent free in my mind 24/7;' 'John M. Chu ''Professional dancer and wedding planner/coordinator;'' Both scenes boasted jaw-dropping greenery and stunning decor (Wicked pictured left), with Crazy Rich Asians' nuptials filmed at a convert convent in Singapore Comparisons of the two weddings quickly popped up on X 'He's going to have a wedding and it's going to be the most magical thing;' Wicked: For Good is set to hit cinemas on November 21, with a first look at the movie conclusion of the Broadway hit teasing the fate of the protagonists and a first look at new characters. The sequel sees the return of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, and Ariana Grande as Glinda, the Good Witch of the North - with part two of the musical movie following their friendship after Elphaba was banished from Oz. Elphaba is living in exile, hidden within the Ozian forest while continuing her fight for the freedom of Oz's silenced Animals and desperately trying to expose the truth about The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum). Glinda, meanwhile, has become the symbol of Goodness for all of Oz, living at the palace in Emerald City and reveling in the perks of fame and popularity as she prepares to tie the knot with Prince Fiyero. She is also working under the instruction of Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) to convince the citizens of Oz that they have nothing to fear when it comes to The Wizard. Yet behind the scenes, Glinda is attempting to reconcile Elphaba and The Wizard, which only results in her being drawn further apart from her friend. As a result Boq (Ethan Slater) and Fiyero are set to be changed forever, while the safety of Elphaba's sister, Nessarose (Marissa Bode) comes into question. Just as tensions in Oz reach an all time high, a girl from Kansas comes crashing into all their lives. Fans went wild at the first glimpse of Dorothy - who was seen walking along the yellow brick road with the Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow. Her face was obscured as she was shown from the back, with fans taking to X/Twitter to try and figure out her identity. They penned: 'the way we still don't know who plays as dorothy in wicked new trailer'; In wicked for good what if we don't see Dorothy's face the whole movie.?' 'So She brings Dorothy to Oz?'; 'i just watched wicked last sunday and it's so gooood oh i can't wait for this. show me dorothy pls!!'; 'Who do you think could be playing Dorothy in Wicked For Good?'; 'The crazy part about the Wicked: For Good trailer is the fact that there's still so much to come. We didn't see Nessarose or Boq. They recently filmed scenes at Shiz for this. We got a little of Dorothy's crew. This is just a glimpse. I can't wait to see it ALL unfold'; Several names have been put forward while fans try to guess who is Dorothy. The frontrunner so far is Alisha Weir, 15, who is best known for playing Matilda in the Netflix adaptation of Matilda the Musical and the titular character in the horror flick Abigail. Others have suggested that Addison Rae or Taylor Swift could be slipping into the iconic ruby red slippers. Last year's global cinematic cultural sensation, which became the most successful Broadway film adaptation of all time, now reaches its epic, electrifying, emotional conclusion in Wicked: For Good. Wicked: For Good is being directed again by award-winning Jon M. Chu, who has confirmed that there will be new, original songs in the sequel, along with fan favourites For Good and No Good Deed. Wicked was a box office success and raked in around $747.2 million on a budget of $150 million.
