Raise voice against communalism and fight for jobs, youths told
Mangaluru: Communalism has endangered the peace, harmony, and unity of the coastal region. In a dire situation where unemployed youth are being misused for this communal agenda, young people must unite and strongly voice their demands for employment, education, and health, which are essential for a dignified life, said DYFI Karnataka state secretary Basavaraj Pujar.
He spoke at the inauguration of a two-day Dakshina Kannada district-level youth organisation workshop under the theme 'Create jobs, protect from unemployment, prioritise locals in employment', at Kalangann in the city on Sunday.
The Congress govt in Karnataka failed to curb communalism, which is disrupting the harmonious life of the coastal region's people. The public must defeat this vile politics that sacrifices common people for political gain through unity, he said.
The BJP govt at the Centre, which came to power with the promise of creating two crore jobs annually, betrayed the country's youth by not generating employment. There are about ten lakh vacancies in various central govt departments, including the military. Instead of filling these permanently, they are outsourcing work without providing any legal protection, security, or pension, deceiving people. The central govt is not taking any measures to address the growing unemployment problem.

Ludhiana: Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta, who was in the city on Sunday to solicit votes for BJP candidate Jiwan Gupta, trained guns at AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and his Delhi cabinet. She accused them of indulging in corrupt practices over the past 10 years. She said that fresh cases had been registered against Kejriwal and his team and those out on bail could land in jail at any time. She added that the AAP government had not presented a single CAG report in the assembly in the past 10 years, while they had brought six such reports.
