RENFRO VALLEY, Ky. (FOX 56) — Mason Ramsey yodelled his way from Walmart into the spotlight.
It all started with 'Lovesick Blues,' when he was only 11 years old.

'When the video was going viral, I never knew it was going viral because I wasn't raised around the internet,' Ramsey said. 'We didn't find out until a week and a half after it started going viral.'
That's when he landed on Ellen DeGeneres' radar.
'Well, The Ellen Show actually called my cousin, and that's how I got into the industry—through Ellen,' he explained.
Ramsey's career skyrocketed, entering stardom at a young age, singing beside Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus at the 62nd Grammy Awards in 2020.
'I've put out a lot of music since then, and last year I had a song go pretty viral called 'Blue Over You,' which is funny because a lot of people who were listening to 'Blue Over You' knew me as Mason Ramsey. They didn't know I was the same person who actually sang in that Walmart when I was 11. So, people were a little blown away or surprised,' Ramsey joked.
And for a good reason. Ramsey, now 18 and living in Dallas, Texas, has grown up, and so have his talent and capabilities as an artist.

Of course, his roots are in classic country. But as Ramsey aged and grew as an artist, his palate expanded.
'I started listening to like Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, and Chuck Berry,' he explained. 'I was just trying to get an idea of what I wanted to do and what type of music I wanted to do that I can relate to. Because I hadn't really done anything like that. And I ended up writing 'Blue Over You.' We put it out, and the people loved it and so we just started going in that direction.'
Ramsey is hitting the road and is heading to the historic Renfro Valley on April 6 on the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. He told FOX 56 he's no stranger to the Bluegrass region and can't wait to show Kentuckians what he's been working on.
'Our shows are, like, so energetic. There's a lot of energy around the room,' Ramsey said. 'So it tends to get really loud. So I just want to let or try and get this out for everyone to bring their earplugs because I don't want anyone losing their hearing. But bring anyone you think wants to have a good time because you are 100% guaranteed to have a good time at a Mason Ramsey concert.'
He said he loves what he does, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

To any other young artist out there, Ramsey left us with a few words of encouragement.
'Just always remember where you came from. Always remember your roots,' he said. 'I mean, to take it from someone who has had literally everything thrown at him from the kitchen sink. And I've never given up, and I've always kept going, and that's why I am where I am. And I just give that advice to anyone who tries to do music or to get into the industry. It's very hard, but just never give up, and you'll be fine.'
Tickets are still available for Ramsey's stop in Renfro Valley. Click here for more information.

The original Hermès Birkin bag is going up for auction: How to bid on historic purse

The original Hermès Birkin bag is going up for auction: How to bid on historic purse Show Caption Hide Caption Walmart Birkin bag takes over TikTok Hermès Birkin bag dupe from Walmart went viral for its surprising resemblance to the iconic bags that retail for thousands of dollars. It's the Birkin bag to end all Birkin bags. This summer, Sotheby's auction house will solicit bidders for Jane Birkin's original Hermès bag, designed and named after the British actress and singer. Now a cultural institution – and status symbol for the ultra-wealthy – the original bag will hit the auction block July 10 in Paris as part of Sotheby's inaugural Fashion Icons sale. A handmade, sleek black prototype, the bag that spawned a fashion phenomenon, will first travel to New York City, where it will be displayed in a Sotheby's gallery, before it lands in Paris for final auction. Birkin bag or Walmart dupe? See Kim Kardashian, more stars sporting the real Hermès purse First designed in 1984, as a collaboration between Birkin, who was living in Paris at the time, and Hermès CEO Jean-Louis Dumas, the bag originated via an in-flight armrest conversation. When, seated next to the Hermès executive on a flight, Birkin sketched her ideal tote, the design house took off running. Her main specifications had little to do with the look of the bag and more with its capacity – at the time, the actress said none of the purses du jour fit what she needed for her busy lifestyle. On the plane, she was carrying a wicker basket, since her handbag was at capacity, and when the contents of it spilled on Dumas, the point made itself. Unlike some who handle their Birkin with a ginger touch, sometimes keeping it locked away in a closet, the actress often accessorized her bag with scarves and bag charms, and at times wore it tucked in, underneath her arm. She wore it into the ground, unafraid to have it beat up and appear heavily used. How much does a Birkin cost? Now, a new arm can lay claim to it, for a price sure to shock. The Birkin market is, for the fashion-minded, like investing in gold bars. The value continues to appreciate, particularly for some bags like the crocodile skin Birkin, which the actress herself asked the design house to stop making in 2015. She took issue with the animal cruelty that went into giving the purse its real-life croc look. A new Birkin can cost anywhere between $10,000 to $100,000 (or more). It's not an "off the rack" purchase either: Hermès doesn't display its bags, so you'd likely need a relationship with a sales associate to get your hands on one. For folks not headed to Paris to get their hands on the bag that Birkin made famous, another option does exist. Walmart made waves last year when it began selling dupes of the purse. Marketing a $78 purse that looks remarkably similar to the Birkin, the retailer seemed to be making the point that everyday Americans should enjoy what dangles off the arms of the rich and famous – even if it's not genuine leather.

London residents turn to music, faith adjusting to new normal after tornado

LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Songs of salvation rang through what is left of the Finley Trailer Park in London on Wednesday evening. John Ward is the creator of 'The Appalachian Channel' on YouTube and Facebook. He has been in London several times since an EF-4 tornado came through on May 16. He met with survivors and documented their stories. Wanting to help, he gathered up some people he knew to provide food and music for this healing community. 'Just getting together and having a little bit of church service, just to praise God for the people that did make it. You know, there's quite a few losses, but there's a lot of miracles that happened,' said Ward. Bare ground marks where homes once stood, and piles of debris are reminiscent of demolished memories. The people in this community do not have much left. But what many of them do have is something that can't necessarily be seen; it's a feeling. It's their faith. And it's what's kept them going these past few weeks. Especially those who narrowly escaped, like Monroe Murphy. Read more of the latest Kentucky news 'I laid down on the floor. Saved me from all that.' He said the sheer fact that he's still alive is a sign from God in itself, but said finding a Bible lying next to him after getting picked up and thrown by the tornado is just another reminder that there was someone, or something, watching over him. 'I don't know where the Bible came from, and it had a cover on it. It was Psalms 91:11. It said, 'The Lord will give the charge over his angels to protect you all your ways.',' Murphy told FOX 56.
