A 50-year-old man has died after getting into difficulty while swimming in the sea.He was brought out of the water at Tor Bay in Penmaen, Swansea, on Friday afternoon, following a Coastguard-led search.Multiple emergency services, including the police, were called to the scene shortly after 13:00 BST.Paramedics pronounced the man, from Sandfields, Swansea, dead at the scene at about 16:00 and his family has been informed.

THE parents of a British backpacker facing 20 years in prison over a fatal e-scooter crash have flown to Australia to be with their daughter. Alicia Kemp, 24, was denied bail in an Australian court after being charged over the horror smash that left 51-year-old Thanh Phan with fatal head injuries last Saturday. 5 The psychology graduate from Redditch, Worcestershire, is accused of striking Phan from behind while speeding down a footpath in Perth with a friend on board as a passenger. The Brit had also been drinking for six hours before the crash, reports The Sydney Morning Herald. A neighbour in Redditch revealed that her parents had flown to Australia on Tuesday to be with their daughter, according to The Times. Prosecutors said Kemp had a blood alcohol content of 0.158 when she 'careered into his back' at up to 25km/h as the dad stood at a crossing on Saturday night. The court heard walkers had to 'take evasive action' to avoid Kemp's 'inexplicably dangerous' riding, which was captured on CCTV. Her 26-year-old passenger also suffered a fractured skull and broken nose. Kemp, who was in Australia on a four-month tourist visa with her partner, had been working at Durty Nelly's Irish Pub in Perth. She had been drinking with a friend from 2.30pm - who was kicked out of a bar for being too drunk - before they hired the e-scooter just before 8.30pm. Her bail bid was rejected after a magistrate ruled she posed too great a flight risk. 'It's a very difficult decision for the court to make,' the magistrate said. Second child dies three weeks after minibus accident on M4 slip road
An 11-year-old boy has become the second child to die after a minibus overturned on a motorway slip road in Berkshire last month, police have said. Othniel Adoma, from Bracknell, died on Thursday, more than three weeks after the single-vehicle crash. The white Ford Transit minibus overturned on the exit slip road at junction 10 of the M4 eastbound, near Wokingham, on the afternoon of 11 May. A six-year-old boy, who has not been named, also died in the collision. Five other children who were injured have subsequently been discharged from hospital. Investigating officer DS Lyndsey Blackaby, of the serious collision investigation unit at Thames Valley police, said in a statement on Saturday: 'My thoughts, and the thoughts of everyone at Thames Valley police, are with the family and friends of Othniel Adoma. 'Othniel's family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.' No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, the force added. South Central ambulance service said it was first alerted to the crash at 2.24pm with its first units arriving at the scene eight minutes later. Five critical care units, including two air ambulances, attended the incident along with six ambulances. The motorway was closed in both directions between junctions 11 and 8 for approximately three hours after the crash.
