Brigade Enterprises' property sales rise 31% to ₹7,847cr in FY 2024-25

Realty firm Brigade Enterprises sold properties worth Rs 7,847 crore last fiscal, an annual increase of 31 per cent, on better demand for its residential properties.
In its latest investors presentation, Bengaluru-based Brigade Enterprises said that the company achieved "pre-sales of Rs 7,847 crore in FY25, a growth of 31 per cent over FY24".
Its sales bookings or pre-sales stood at Rs 6,013 crore in the 2023-24 financial year.
As per the presentation, out of the total pre-sales in 2024-25, Brigade Enterprises sold residential properties worth Rs 7,567 crore and commercial properties valuing Rs 280 crore.
Its pre-sales volume for 2024-25 stood at 7.05 million square feet.
The average realization stood at Rs 11,138 per square foot during 2024-25, an increase of 40 per cent over FY24, driven by the launch of premium projects.
The company launched the highest-ever area of 9.5 mn square feet comprising 11 projects in the last fiscal.
On Wednesday, Brigade Enterprises reported an 18 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 249.35 crore for the March quarter.
Its net profit stood at Rs 210.86 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income, however, fell to Rs 1,532.29 crore in the March quarter of the previous fiscal year from Rs 1,762.62 crore in the year-ago period.
During the 2024-25 fiscal year, the company's net profit rose to Rs 680.47 crore from Rs 401.04 crore in the preceding year. Total income rose to Rs 5,313.54 crore in the last fiscal year from Rs 5,064.15 crore in the 2023-24 financial year.
Brigade Enterprises is one of the leading real estate developers in the country. It has a significant presence in South India.
The company develops residential, office, shopping mall and hotel projects.
Brigade plans to list its hospitality venture on stock exchanges and has already filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with markets regulator SEBI to launch an Initial Public offering (IPO).

Tvm airport expansion gets boost as funds are secured
T'puram: The expansion plans of city airport received a boost after Adani Airports raised $750 million in external commercial borrowings to enhance infrastructure at its six airports. Of this, Rs 1,300 crore will be allocated for Project Anantha and Rs 700 crore for other upgrades, including measures to support the expansion of non-aeronautical businesses like retail, food and beverages, duty-free and other services. The upgrades will begin soon, while the new project will start shortly after approvals are ready. An airport official said that funds were not an issue and the company would use its funds, but now the money was raised specifically for airport upgrades. "The project can now be taken up smoothly as dedicated funds have come. The money will be used to upgrade the six airports run by the group – Thiruvananthapuram, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangalore, Jaipur and Guwahati". Project Anantha envisages an investment of Rs 1,300 crore over three years for the expansion of Terminal 2. The existing 45,000 sq m currently handling 3.2 million Passengers Per Annum (MPPA) will be enhanced to 1,65,000 sq m to handle almost 12 MPPA with a multi-level Curb Integrated Terminal. The new terminal will also have a forecourt with an airport plaza, a hotel, and a commercial and administration block. There will be more space for car parking. A new Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower, an international cargo complex and a remote check-in facility landside will create a completely new airport complex, said a statement from Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. "The clearances are the only thing that we are waiting for. The plan and the funds are ready," he added. A long-term expansion is also being considered, as the company submitted a broader masterplan worth Rs 3,000 crore to the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority. This includes the redevelopment of Terminals 1 and 2 and other work designed to handle 27 million passengers by 2034. The airport already completed some of the upgrades, like runway recarpeting, improving ground lighting and airside signage. The refurbishment of Terminal 1 is ongoing as part of upgrade work and will be completed in two months.

After Dhruv ALH, Prachand copters cleared for flying
NEW DELHI: The Prachand light combat helicopters have now also been cleared for flying after the Dhruv advanced light helicopters (ALHs) last month. Both the Dhruv and Prachand choppers were grounded after an ALH crash killed two Coast Guard pilots and an aircrew diver in Porbandar on Jan 5. The choppers - manufactured by defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) - were cleared for operations after "some components" were replaced based on the recommendations by a defect investigation committee, an officer said on Tuesday. The Army, which has a fleet of over 180 ALHs, including 60 weaponised versions called 'Rudra', was the most affected by the grounding. Indian Air Force , in turn, has 75 ALHs, while the Navy has 24 and the Coast Guard has 19. The number of Prachand helicopters, in turn, is just 10 in the IAF and five in the Army at present. In March, the defence ministry had inked a mega Rs 62,700 crore contract for 156 such choppers from HAL. The Army will get 90 of them, the IAF 66.

Clean air zones set to transform Vijayawada, Vizag neighbourhoods from July
1 2 Vijayawada: Come July, select neighbourhoods in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam could breathe easy, thanks to the phased implementation of the Clean Air Zones (CAZ) project. In a major step towards improving urban air quality, the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) on Tuesday hosted a multi-agency workshop in Vijayawada to kick-start the phased implementation of CAZs. It brought together key officials from municipal corporations, police and transport departments of the two fast-growing cities and featured the expertise of Transport for London (TfL). Areas close to Ramesh Hospital Junction, Siddhartha College Junction in Vijayawada and King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam will benefit from the CAZ initiative and are gearing up for the implementation. "The phased approach will allow authorities to tailor solutions for these neighbourhoods to inspire more city-wide efforts, while building the foundation for broader, long-term clean air strategies across Andhra Pradesh", said P Krishnaiah, chairman, APPCB. Based on the broader vision of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu to foster healthier, future-ready urban environments, Artha India — a Mumbai-based organisation supporting governments for effective urbanisation and digitalisation implementation efforts — is leading implementation support for the project. Technical expertise for the project is coming from London and Delhi-based partners, TfL and TERI, respectively. Artha India is also expected to be onboarded as a knowledge partner to Andhra Pradesh for climate resilience and health. "A successful implementation of Clean Air Zones will improve air quality and particulate matter concentration at local hotspots. For the past two years, we have been gathering technical inputs and mapping stakeholders to support implementation of site-specific emission-reduction measures involving congestion management, streamlining public transport, last-mile connectivity, and other green initiatives", says Artha India CEO, Pritika Hingorani. The forthcoming phase of CAZ implementation will also include area improvement projects that include optimising parking arrangements and novel nature-based solutions like permeable pavements and Miyawaki forests at junctions. "We are confident that the participation and efforts of all stakeholders in implementing pollution control measures starting next month, including low-cost continuous air monitoring, will make CAZs a success. We are also exploring how to make this initiative sustainable and low-cost in the long run by involving businesses as partners in building a green and clean Vijayawada", said Dr. Swapna Kota, project manager , Sustainability and Resilience Unit, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.
