HPE Aruba Networking doubles performance capabilities of widely-deployed data center distributed services switches
Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) today announced expansions of its HPE Aruba Networking wired and wireless portfolio, along with new HPE Aruba Networking CX 10K distributed services switches, which feature built-in programmable data processing units (DPU) from AMD Pensando to offload security and network services to free up resources for complex AI workload processing.

The HPE Aruba Networking CX 10040 is HPE's latest distributed services switch -- also known as a 'smart switch' -- that doubles the scale and performance of the previous networking and security solution.
Four new HPE Aruba Networking CX 6300M campus networking switches, which provide faster data speeds for enterprise IoT, AI, or high-performance computing with a more compact footprint.
New Wi-Fi 7 access points (APs) and capabilities for AI-driven indoor and outdoor connectivity that deliver the highest quality of service for data, voice, and video communications.

AI fluency an essential for CEOs to drive innovation, shape future-ready firms

Today's CEOs will require more than just education, said Abir Habbal, Data and AI Strategy & Consulting Lead at Accenture in the Middle East, in an interview with Aletihad . Habbal enumerated three key barriers to AI adoption at the executive level.'First, there is uncertainty about where to start. The AI space is evolving so fast, it is hard to separate hype from what is actually achievable. Second, alignment across the leadership team is not always there. If your CIO, CFO, and CHRO are not working from a shared understanding, AI initiatives often stall at the pilot stage. And third, many organisations simply are not ready.'To close these gaps, she recommended a full-immersion executive training programme.'When you bring CEOs and their leadership teams into a focused learning environment… you give them the space to step back, learn from experts, and engage in honest, strategic conversations."CEOs need AI fluency, Habbal said. This refers to 'understanding what AI can and cannot do, how to manage risks responsibly, how to redesign operating models around AI, and how to build a future-ready workforce'.The UAE Government is ahead of the curve in upskilling top officials across federal entities. 'It is about giving them the tools to lead in an AI-driven world.'AI literacy fundamentally changes the dynamics between the C-suite and technical teams, Habbal said. 'That alignment helps sharpen priorities, streamline decision-making, and avoid the disconnects that often slow down execution.'Generative AI, she said, is becoming a powerful decision-support tool for executives. 'It is not making decisions for leaders; but it helps them make better, faster, more informed decisions,' Habbal said. "At the end of the day, the judgment still lies with the human. But generative AI helps cut through the noise, boost strategic thinking, and unlock time — so leaders can focus on what truly matters.' Differentiating Factors Asked about measuring the return on investment (ROI) from AI implementation, Habbal explained that it's not always about 'cost savings or headcount reduction'. The real impact, she said, would be evident from smarter decisions; teams that can make decisions on their own; better business outcomes; and the organisational statistics from Accenture studies, Habbal said 63% of leading performing companies see AI deliver measurable ROI within 3 years, but only 15% of the C-suite feel they are prepared to who lead in AI adoption invest twice as much in talent and responsible AI practices compared to their peers — enabling them to bring new products to market up to 50% faster, their research added. As teams get more AI fluency, collaboration improves and innovation speeds up, Habbal said.'AI training is one of the fastest ways to unlock innovation — because it gives people the confidence and know-how to actually use the technology,' she said. 'The companies that are winning with AI are the ones that treat it as a business transformation, not just a tech upgrade.'In line with UAE AI Strategy 2031, firms need to build AI fluency from within, the expert said. "The UAE's vision is ambitious, but it is also collaborative. UAE grants music management licence as streaming market tipped to hit $2.3bn
The UAE Ministry of Economy granted its second collective music management licence to Music Nation during a ceremony held at its headquarters in Dubai. The licence authorises the organisation to manage the distribution of rights on behalf of music creators and performers, while also ensuring nationwide compliance among music platforms. It comes as the streaming market is tipped to hit $2.3bn by 2030 and musical artists and producers in the region look to monetise works. UAE music management The announcement was made during an event attended by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, and Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Under-Secretary for Intellectual Property. The Ministry confirmed that the licence was issued in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 concerning copyright and related rights. It marks the continuation of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen intellectual property frameworks in the UAE, following the first collective management licence awarded to the Emirates Music Rights Association in April 2025. Al Saleh said: 'Under the vision of our wise leadership, the UAE has placed strategic emphasis on enhancing the competitiveness of its cultural and creative industries, driving their growth both regionally and globally. 'Recognising their vital role in national economic growth, we are committed to fostering public-private collaboration to cultivate an enabling environment for talent and innovation. 'By elevating the creative economy's legislative framework to world-class standards, we aim to expand the private sector's participation in it, in line with the National Strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries 2031.' The Under-Secretary said: 'The Ministry remains committed to establishing a world-class copyright governance system, drawing on international best practices. We are achieving this through strengthening legal and regulatory frameworks, fostering investment in creative sectors, and implementing robust collective management systems. 'These measures safeguard intellectual property rights while building creators' trust in the nation's creative ecosystem.' 'The collective music management licence serves as a catalyst for cultural innovation while safeguarding artists' intellectual property rights. Through establishing transparent revenue distribution systems and fair compensation mechanisms, it elevates the UAE's music industry – enhancing its global competitiveness and positioning our nation as a premier hub for creative enterprises'. Al Saleh emphasised that awarding the licence to Music Nation marks a strategic milestone in the UAE's commitment to fostering creativity. The initiative unlocks new opportunities for artists, writers, and producers while strengthening rights protection and leveraging creative-economy tools – ultimately positioning the sector as a key driver of national economic growth. Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini said: 'Our music industry is witnessing remarkable growth, fuelled by an expanding ecosystem of creative enterprises and world-class events. Dubai alone boasts 350 live music venues, while the national streaming market generated $841.9m in 2024 – projected to nearly triple to $2.3bn by 2030. 'Building on last month's inaugural licence granted to the Emirates Music Rights Association, today marks another significant milestone with the official authorisation of Music Nation.
