WWE Announces Huge Match for 'Monday Night Raw' Ahead of MITB 2025 originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
A big match has been added to "WWE Raw" on Monday.
The red brand will emanate from the BOK Center in Tulsa. Featured on the show will be a women's MITB qualifying match between Liv Morgan, Stephanie Vaquer, and Ivy Nile. That isn't the only major match scheduled for "Monday Night Raw."

"Raw's" general manager Adam Pearce hopped on social media to announce that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso will team with Sami Zayn to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The match was announced amid Zayn's current rivalry with the Paul Heyman-led faction of Seth Rollins, Breakker, and Reed.
This will be Reed's first match since "Survivor Series 2024." Reed broke his talus bone during the match after diving off the top of a pod for the Tsunami splash.
At the conclusion of last week's episode of "WWE Raw," Rollins qualified for the men's MITB match. After the match, Rollins, Breakker, and Reed tried attacking Uso and Zayn, but CM Punk laid Rollins out with a GTS to close the show. Punk will be involved in a men's MITB ladder match, so Rollins' faction might be quite busy on Monday.

Uso also has other business to handle, as he prepares for a marquee tag team match at "Money in the Bank 2025." He will team with "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes to take on Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena and Logan Paul on Saturday. Many wonder if Uso will crack under the pressure of being a world champion, which he addressed during last week's episode of "WWE Raw."

WWE's Mariah May Expected To Undergo Major Change: Report

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Mariah May made her impactful and long-awaited WWE debut on the June 3, 2025, episode of NXT. By doing so, she immediately inserted herself into the NXT Women's Championship picture. This surprise appearance came just days after her contract with All Elite Wrestling expired, where she was a former AEW Women's World Champion. The segment saw new NXT Women's Champion Jacy Jayne attempting to celebrate her title win over Stephanie Vaquer from the previous week. Her address was interrupted by a series of NXT women, including Thea Hail, Lola Vice, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, Kelani Jordan, and Jordynne Grace, all staking a claim for a title shot, leading to a brawl. As chaos broke out, the lights dimmed, and a spotlight hit the crow's nest, revealing May. While WWE announcers did not mention her by name, May took the microphone with a clear message. "It's about damn time. I've wrestled all over the world, and it's only right that The Glamour arrives in NXT," May declared in a digital exclusive later posted on WWE NXT's X account. 8/25/24 AEW ALL IN - London, England 8/25/24 AEW ALL IN - London, England Lee South/AEW Despite her established "Mariah May" name, which is believed to be her real name, TC WrestleVotes reports that WWE will be getting a new name under the Stamford-based promotion once it's decided what it will be. This strategy often relates to WWE securing intellectual property rights for its characters. May, originally from the United Kingdom, was encouraged by WWE coaches to gain global experience after an NXT UK tryout in 2018. She made a significant name for herself in Japan with STARDOM, where she captured the Goddesses of Stardom Championship with Mina Shirakawa. She then joined AEW in late 2023, initially as Toni Storm's protégé, before winning the 2024 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and defeating Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at All In 2024. This is a title Storm later regained at Revolution 2025. Her arrival adds another major talent to NXT's stacked women's division, which also includes champion Jacy Jayne. 13 and Done: Nashville Superspeedway Breaks NASCAR Xfinity's Historic Viewership Run

13 and Done: Nashville Superspeedway Breaks NASCAR Xfinity's Historic Viewership Run originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The NASCAR Xfinity Series was on fire this year. For thirteen straight races, over a million people tuned in to watch every single event. That's the best streak the series has had in almost a decade and it showed just how much fans love what they're seeing on The CW. Advertisement But all good things come to an end. The Tennessee Lottery 250 at Nashville brought in 988,000 viewers, falling just short of that magic million mark. Still, it was the most-watched Xfinity race at Nashville since they started racing there again back in 2021. Here's the thing though – the numbers are still pretty amazing. Those first thirteen races averaged 1.176 million viewers, which is 20% higher than the same time last year. Back then, they were only getting about 978,000 viewers per race on average. NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers race at Nashville Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images What's really helping is that The CW puts these races on free-to-air coverage instead of cable broadcast. More people can watch without paying extra and that's making a huge difference. It's the first time in the series' history that every race is free to watch. Advertisement Even with the streak ending, the Nashville numbers showed continued growth. The 988,000 viewers represented a 29% increase over the fourteenth race of 2024 at Sonoma Raceway, indicating that while the milestone run concluded, overall viewership remains robust and well above last year's pace. So yeah, the streak is over at thirteen races. But the bigger story here is that more people are watching NASCAR Xfinity than ever before and that's pretty exciting for the sport.
