Woman buys full English breakfast in popular UK city but is floored by price

A woman named Suzanna bought a full English breakfast in a popular UK city, but the price absolutely floored her. She couldn't believe what she was charged for the meal
A woman bought a full English breakfast in a popular UK city but was left floored by the price of the meal. When it comes to British food, it's fair to say that a cooked breakfast is up there with some of the most-loved culinary delicacies.
After all, there is often no better way to start the day than with a good breakfast and it's often hard to resist but, when Suzanna visited a local eatery in Liverpool, she was left blown away for a few key reasons. She explained all in a TikTok video when she stopped by Aquapod for a spot of breakfast, and she admitted it was a real "find."

If you opt for the big breakfast, she said you actually manage to bag a free tea or coffee with the meal. This seemed to get her off to a good start, as the tea would have otherwise set her back £3.95.

According to Suzanna, known as suzannasolotravel, the menu was packed with different choices, but the deal was too good for her to turn down, so she decided to sample the classic English breakfast.
She said: "This was the big breakfast. When it came, I was like 'wow - that is big', and the beans [were] done separately in a pot, which is just how I always like it.
"The sausages were lovely, everything was nice and fresh. I couldn't even pick up the plate there. I thoroughly enjoyed every little bit of that breakfast.
"As I said, not greasy, not busy and everything presented beautiful. I'll definitely be going back to try the pancakes and the other bits and bobs on the menu but, look at that mushroom, the size of my head. The eggs were done perfectly as well."
If you want somewhere to have a relaxing breakfast, Suzanna said the restaurant is "definitely worth a try". She told viewers the bill came to £10.95, which she thought was a "bargain."

As she only had a £20.00 note, she said they actually only charged her £10.00 in the end, which she thought was amazing. She couldn't believe what she managed to bag for her money.
The restaurant is known for its seafood, but Suzanna said they have lots of options for breakfast. She was impressed with all the goods she sampled.
One person said: "Looks yummy." Another added: "£3.95 for a cup of tea - that's crazy." To this, Suzanna responded: "When I saw it, I was like 'that's the most expensive tea I've seen', but it was free in the end."

If you're wondering how much English breakfasts are in the UK, it's reported the average price comes in between £7 and £15. Prices can vary, depending on your location and the type of establishment you're eating in.
In London, for example, prices tend to be heftier, while cafes in other areas may offer a good quality breakfast for around £7 to £8. It does all depend on where you are.
If you visit a classic "greasy spoon", prices tend to be lower than they would be at restaurants or hotels. As well as this, the use of premium or locally sourced ingredients can lead to hiking up prices.
Also, some breakfast deals can include drinks such as tea or coffee, but other establishments may charge extra for them. There are all sorts of different offers you can get.

Freitag launches rental service

Swiss bag brand Freitag took a step towards a circular business model with the launch of its rental service, Freitag Rent. The brand announced this in a press release. Freitag joins brands such as Decathlon, Bever, H&M, Urban Outfitters and Nike, which previously launched similar rental services. Peter Hollenstein, project manager at Freitag Rent, said: 'We want to encourage sharing instead of owning, so we are developing products that are used as often and for as long as possible.' He continued: 'With Freitag Rent, we are saving resources and exploring a circular business model that is new territory for us. Together, these elements bring us one step closer to the circular economy.' The rental service is available from June 25th for the brand's largest travel rucksack: the F512 Voyager. Freitag expects that people only need a travel bag a few days per year. Therefore, the brand offers consumers the option to rent the bag instead of buying it. The minimum rental fee is 24 euros for four days. This amount covers the costs of making and maintaining the bag, cleaning and replacing the lining, and handling in the shop, according to the press release. The service also has a social aspect. The inner compartment of the F512 Voyager travel bag contains a small diary. At the beginning of the rental period, the current date is stamped in the diary. Renters may write down their name and destination. They can then use the blank pages to record personal memories of their trip, share tips or document travel routes. This gives the service a personal touch. Freitag has 460 points of sale and 21 of its own shops. The brand operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy, among other countries. Freitag Rent Credits: Freitag This article was translated to English using an AI tool. Is it safe to travel to Turkey? Latest flight and holiday advice

TURKEY is a Brit-loved holiday destination, with sun-soaked beaches, rich culture and amazing food. But as tensions escalate in the region between Israel and Iran, many holidaymakers heading to Turkey are asking themselves whether it is safe to go — here's what you need to know. 4 Is Turkey close to Iran? Turkey shares part of its eastern border with Iran. Iran is currently engaged in hostilities with Israel and both sides have launched missile strikes in the last few days. Some of these have affected neighbouring countries such as Qatar, which despite not being actively involved in the conflict was the target of an attack on a US air base. A ceasefire was announced yesterday morning (Tuesday June 24) but the deal was broken not long after. Turkish tourist hotspots such as Bodrum, Istanbul and Cappadocia are not located near the country's border with Iran. Is it safe to travel to Turkey? Turkey was visited by 4.4million British tourists in 2024. The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has not changed its travel advice for the country. A statement — which predates the Israel-Iran unrest — reads: "FCDO advises against all travel to within 10km of the border with Syria due to fighting and a heightened risk of terrorism." However, it does not advise against travel to any other part of Turkey, indicating that the majority of the country is safe to visit and holidays can go ahead. Have flights to Turkey been affected? Several countries in the Middle East closed their airspaces in recent days, with a number of airlines cancelling flights as a result. 4 Many planes flying over the region were diverted to different airports, causing widespread chaos and severe delays including for travellers heading to Doha and Dubai. Flights to Turkey are not currently affected by the volatile air traffic situation and package holidays to the country are continuing as normal. Antalya, Dalaman, Istanbul and Bodrum Milas airports are all operating without delays, according to data on tracking site FlightRadar. Can I cancel my holiday? It is unlikely that you will be able to claim a refund from either a holiday provider or insurance company due to the FCDO having not advised against travel to Turkey. If you wish to change the date or time of your trip, it is worth contacting the relevant airline or tour operator to see if they can offer any flexibility. However, there is no guarantee that you will receive a refund for your booking. 4 4 Flight compensation rules A look at your rights if a flight is delayed or cancelled, when your entitled to compensation and if your travel insurance can cover the costs. What are my rights if my flight is cancelled or delayed? Under UK law, airlines have to provide compensation if your flight arrives at its destination more than three hours late. If you're flying to or from the UK, your airline must let you choose a refund or an alternative flight. You will be able to get your money back for the part of your ticket that you haven't used yet. So if you booked a return flight and the outbound leg is cancelled, you can get the full cost of the return ticket refunded. But if travelling is essential, then your airline has to find you an alternative flight. This could even be with another airline. When am I not entitled to compensation? The airline doesn't have to give you a refund if the flight was cancelled due to reasons beyond their control, such as extreme weather. Disruptions caused by things like extreme weather, airport or air traffic control employee strikes or other 'extraordinary circumstances' are not eligible for compensation. Some airlines may stretch the definition of "extraordinary circumstances" but you can challenge them through the aviation regulator the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Will my insurance cover me if my flight is cancelled? If you can't claim compensation directly through the airline, your travel insurance may refund you. Policies vary so you should check the small print, but a delay of eight to 12 hours will normally mean you qualify for some money from your insurer. Remember to get written confirmation of your delay from the airport as your insurer will need proof. If your flight is cancelled entirely, you're unlikely to be covered by your insurance.

From Jack Whitehall to Robbie Williams even Princess Eugenie and Beatrice - all of them have taken a seat in the historic pub. The Bull serves food from classic pies, to fish and oysters, and there's a cocktail menu and an enormous wine list. Another popular pit stop is The Chequers in Chipping Norton. In January of this year, Victoria and David Beckham enjoyed a cosy countryside pub lunch. The glamorous couple even bumped into Clarkson's Farm star, Gerald Cooper during their visit. It is no surprise that these three have been spotted there - and are probably frequent visitors. Gerald works at the nearby Diddly Squat farm in Chipping Norton and the Beckhams' Grade II-listed farmhouse is located on the nearby Great Tew estate. One visitors to the pub wrote on Tripadvisor: "The locals are more than welcoming, entering into lively conversations. "The space is cosy and this amplifies the energy and the experience. Well worth visiting for a pint or more and a bite." US megastar spotted watching Irish band at Jeremy Clarkson's pub 6 Jeremy Clarkson owns The Farmer's Dog in Burford Credit: Alamy Of course, at The Farmer's Dog in Burford, the TV star you are most likely to see there is Jeremy Clarkson because he owns it. One visitors even said when they visited that Jeremy was sitting just a "few tables away." The Clarkson's Farm star opened The Farmer's Dog in 2024 - and it's been pretty busy since then. At Jeremy's pub, visitors can treat themselves to the steak pie, ham hock terrine, rhubarb crumble, and a wide range of other menu items, that comes from local farmers. Since the pub opened, it has been extremely busy with locals and out of town visitors. Last year, Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi were spotted in the pub watching live music. 6 The Beckhams have dined in The Chequers Credit: Alamy 6 The Falkland Arms was used for scenes of Mobland series two Credit: Alamy It is no surprise as the pair reportedly moved to the Cotswolds in November last year from California. Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia and British star James Blunt were also spotted at the pub for the event. Another pub that has become a popular spot for tourists, although you are now unlikely to see a celebrity there, is The Falkland Arms. The pub appeared in scenes of Mobland series two which stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Dame Helen Mirren. So, while you will not actually see the movie stars in the pub (sadly), you can order from the bar and sit where they did.
