Small plane crashes in Florida
A small plane crashed in southeast Florida on Friday morning, according to local reports.
The plane, believed to be a Cessna 310 aircraft, went down near the Boca Raton airport at around 10:15 a.m. local time, according to Boca News Now.
The plane reported mechanical issues upon approach to the airport, the outlet reported.
It crashed into a car on Military Trail, according to CBS, citing Boca Raton Fire Rescue (BRFR).
Boca Baton police confirmed an aircraft had crashed but did not provide further details.
Police closed N. Military Trail between NW 19th St. and Butts Rd. The I-95 overpass at Glades Rd. is also closed eastbound and westbound.
Police advised the public to avoid the area.

President Donald Trump's "One Big, Beautiful Bill" includes multiple pages of budget cuts and proposals that would equate to major changes in government spending. Former Senior Advisor to the President, Elon Musk, quipped a bill can be "big or it can be beautiful, but I don't know if it can be both," in a CBS interview. Musk expressed his disdain for the bill in interviews and X posts. He may not have stated his reasoning beyond a desire to slash government spending, but there are plenty of clues in the bill. One of its provisions could cost Tesla buyers big bucks. Section 112002 of the bill reads "termination of the clean vehicle credit". This credit previously allowed American taxpayers to claim a tax credit of up to $7,500 for Tesla's best-selling vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 sedan and Model Y SUV. A provision in the bill accelerates the expiration of this incentive from Dec. 31, 2032, to Dec. 31, 2025. If the bill passes, buying a Tesla would get a lot more expensive for the average American car buyer. The incentive is part of what makes the EV an attractive deal for many potential buyers, so will demand increase or remain steady after the loss of such an impactful incentive? It's unlikely. Tesla sold 516,597 units in the U.S. market in 2024, according to automotive research site Assuming at least 50% ( a conservative estimate) of those purchases were made by drivers who intended on claiming the tax incentive, that works out to around $1,937,238,50 in incentives via the federal electric vehicle tax credit. The number of drivers who opted for a Tesla largely due to federal and state incentives could be much higher than 50% of all 2024 purchases. If Tesla vehicles are no longer eligible for the tax credit in 2026, affordable competitors like the Chevrolet Equinox EV, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and more could take a huge bite out of Tesla's market share. Ever since Tesla CEO Musk became involved with the current administration, Tesla stock (NASDAQ:TSLA) dropped by a massive 41% from Jan. 2 to April 8. The stock has since rebounded, down only about 14% from its Jan. 2 prices, but the Tesla brand has been under relentless attack. Americans have protested Musk's contributions to the Department of Government Efficiency at Tesla dealerships. Multiple Tesla vehicles have been vandalized. Brand damage is partly to blame for a huge decline in European market sales, according to CNBC. Tesla is in dire straits now, so a complete phase-out of the federal electric vehicle tax credit could be a death blow for the company. The eccentric CEO may have once advocated for the removal of the incentive (via an X post), but the reality is that competition is only getting fiercer as Tesla's brand experiences an onslaught of damage. Automotive research company Cox Automotive published an electric vehicle sales report for the first quarter of 2025. While Tesla still outsold most of its major competitors, three rivals stand out as brands that could dethrone the company as they allocate more resources to EV development and production. Ford sold 11,607 Mustang Mach-E small electric SUVs in Q1 2025. It sold 7,187 F-150 Lightning full-size pickup trucks. Chevrolet sold 10,329 Equinox EVs and 6,187 Blazer EVs. Hyundai sold 8,611 Ioniq 5 small electric SUVs and 3,318 Ioniq 6 electric sedans. Tesla may still be dominant, but it's far from the only game in town. It has to do with how your political work and public comments have turned your reputation more toxic than the bacteria that cause botulism. 'People were burning Teslas,' you said. Could it be that you've embraced a far-right German political party and told Germans to 'move beyond' the guilt of the past? Could it be that weird salute you did at a Trump rally? Could it be the way you casually throw around the 'R-word' online? Could it be the casual and mocking way you dispatched thousands of federal workers, prancing like a peacock through government agencies and acting like you knew more than anyone else in the room? Could it be that you're mean? That your wildly anti-transgender comments are dehumanizing and disgust many people? Could it be that you told advertisers who refuse to buy ads on X to 'go f‑‑‑ yourself'? Opinion: Democrats want a liberal Joe Rogan to help them win elections. I'm right here. Maybe some of those things explain why Tesla sales in Europe dropped 49% in April compared with the same month a year ago. Maybe some of those things explain why the Cybertruck is viewed as the symbol of a lonely, unfunny man dealing with serious life issues. Video Of Crazy Tow Truck Incident Goes Viral Because, As Noted, It's Crazy
A broken axle on a sedan led to perhaps the craziest towing video in recent memory. On Monday afternoon, after a Saab broke down on the Interstate 610 loop in Texas, the driver called his girlfriend for help towing the vehicle as they could not afford a towing company, according to ABC Houston affiliate KTRK TV. The couple apparently decided to tow the vehicle using a chain, but, at some point, an axel on the Saab broke, causing it to swerve back and forth between various freeway lanes, according to CBS affiliate KHOU TV. 'It was like err err, like losing control, I heard when his tire blew out, just lots of swerving,' Ken Collins, who witnessed the terrifying tow job, told the station. TikTok user @cindyibarra22 posted a video showing how Mr. Tow's Wild Ride looked from a Houston office building. Video taken by X account @StormChaserHTX shows how the swerving looked to drivers on the road. Spoiler alert: It's terrifying. According to Collins, the two cars eventually stopped on a feeder road and a woman came out of the SUV while a man exited the blue Saab. 'It was crazy, I thought they was [about to] fight, I thought he was going to jump on the driver. He was yelling at the lady, he hit his hood,' Collins said. Although the woman was trying to talk to the man, Collins said, 'He didn't want to hear nothing of it. He was like, 'you messed up my car, you [messed] up my car.'' Collins is still perplexed why the two drivers decided to pull the Saab from the back. 'Normally, on a chain you pull a car from the front but that's my only thought. Why did they pull it from the back, especially on the freeway?' he said. 'It looked like a scene from ′Fast & Furious,''David Chairez, who was driving with a co-worker when they saw the terrifying tow job, told KTRK. 'That was very reckless, and that was very dangerous.' To make matters worse, Chairez said the woman driving the SUV appeared to be laughing throughout the incident, adding, 'To see something like this, this is not normal.' Although the incident definitely caused traffic issues, Houston Police did not cite either driver for their method of vehicle towing. The man was arrested for an active warrant from Georgia, according to KTRK TV.
