Available in stores from today, May 12, the bitesize bakes come in two flavours.

There's also the Village Bakery Cookies and Cream Cake Pops (£1.99, 4 pack), made with cookie crumb sprinkles and sweet vanilla flavouring.
Aldi previously created a cake pop recipe for Valentine's Day in 2020, along with the campaign: "Cake Pops are what happens when you leave a cake and a lollypop alone at Valentine's with Barry White playing on the stereo. Make your own with this easy recipe."
Following their popularity, they are launching a full range, in stores across the UK.

A cake pop is a cross between a cake and a lollipop, where cake crumbs are mixed with icing or chocolate, and formed into small spheres or cubes, before being given a coating of icing, chocolate or other decorations and attached to lollipop sticks.
While we don't know of any definitive inventor of cake pops, we do know that they were first popularized by home baking blogger Angie Dudley in 2008, with Starbucks' cake pops becoming a favourite snack thanks to its small size and fun designs.
The BBC describes them as "a bite-sized morsel of cake coated in chocolate and stuck on a lollipop stick".

Love Island's Davide celebrates milestone with American girlfriend as ex Ekin-su reveals tough time after Curtis split

LOVE Island star Davide Sanclimenti has celebrated a huge milestone with his girlfriend Iris Au. The couple marked their one-year anniversary on Saturday with a special montage video. 4 Love Island's Davide celebrated a milestone with his US girlfriend Credit: Instagram 4 The Italian hunk shared a montage video looking back on their year together Credit: Instagram 4 Davide's relationship update comes after his ex Ekin-Su's split from Curtis Credit: Rex The clip featured photos of their loved-up dates together, to holidays and trips around the world and romantic gestures. The hunky Italian looked smitten with the mum-of-two. Davide is seen presenting his partner with a huge bouquet of roses and another clip showed them kissing on the beach. He captioned it: "ONE [love heart emoji] Happy Anniversary." The TV star shot to fame in 2022 when he won with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu. The pair were known for their tumultuous relationship in and out of the villa, and they split the following year. Davide then confirmed he was dating his new girlfriend Iris Au last year. Los Angeles based Iris documents her life on social media. The 35-year-old has two daughters Paris, 10, and Pia, 11. Ekin-Su and Curtis Pritchard SPLIT three months after Love Island All Stars In March, Davide dropped a HUGE hint that he had married Iris after he referred to Paris as his "stepdaughter". It came after he posted a video which was titled "Pranking my stepdaughter', where he pretended to be auditioning to be her and her sister's manny (a male nanny) LOVED UP On Valentine's day, Davide confessed his love for Iris with a soppy Instagram post. Davide gushed: "Happy Valentine's Day to the most romantic woman I've ever met. Since being with you, I learned what a 'monthsary' is. It comes after Davide's ex Ekin-Su called time on her three-month releationship with Curtis Pritchard last week. The Sun exclusively revealed how their shock break-up - after three weeks of dating following their time in the Love Island spin-off villa - "wasn't weeks in the making." As such, the split is said to be "raw" for both parties who discovered they were "growing apart" - with work opportunities proving a key divide. A source close to the former couple has now told The Sun of the break-up: 'It was very much a mutual decision, but it happened very recently in the last few days. "It certainly wasn't weeks in the making, so it's still raw for them both but they had a series of crisis talks in the recent days which were emotional for them both. "They wanted to make it work, but they felt they like they were growing apart and they couldn't see a way forward. "One of the biggest issues for their relationship was their busy careers - it sounds like a cliche but Ekin, 30, is getting a lot of work opportunities out in America, while Curtis, 29, is focussing on his burgeoning boxing career as well as his new investment app. "As they are both so busy, it was becoming harder to prioritise the relationship and they realised that wasn't a good sign. "They are still on really good terms and it's all very amicable. "Nobody was blindsided, so there is no bad blood between them." EKIN-SU'S STATEMENT In May, Ekin-Su shared a statement on social media confirming they had parted ways. She said: "I wanted to share that Curtis and I have decided to go our separate ways. "It's been a really tough decision, but one made with a lot of love and respect for one another. "He's an incredible person and I'll always cherish the memories we made both in and out of the villa. "Thank you all so much for the love and support over the past few months. "We're both focusing on navigating this transition and would really appreciate privacy during this time. "Love always, Ekin-Su."

King of the Hill voice actor shot dead outside Texas home

A voice actor best known for his work on animated series King of the Hill has died at the age of 59 after being shot outside his home in Texas. Jonathan Joss, who portrayed John Redcorn on the series and also appeared in Parks and Recreation as Chief Ken Hotate, was fatally shot in south San Antonio around 7pm on Sunday. Police arrived at the scene and performed life saving measures on the 59-year-old, who was discovered wounded. Joss was pronounced dead by emergency medical services (EMS) crews at the scene. 'The officers attempted life saving measures until EMS arrived. EMS pronounced the victim deceased,' San Antonio police said in a statement. Joss' death was confirmed by his husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales. The couple had married earlier this year on Valentine's Day. Mr Kern de Gonzales claimed in a social media post that a man 'yelled homophobic slurs' at the couple before 'raising a gun from his lap and firing'. A man has since been arrested on suspicion of murder. San Antonio police said in a social media post on Monday that 'despite online claims' of his death being a hate crime, there is 'no evidence that Mr Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation'. Officers added: 'Should any new evidence come to light, the suspect will be charged accordingly.' King of the Hill actor Jonathan Joss shot dead by neighbour

Police say they have no evidence of the motive behind the shooting having been homophobia after Joss, 59, was shot dead. Jonathan Joss, who starred in King of The Hill, has been shot dead by a neighbour in what the actor's husband has called a ' homophobic hate crime '. The 59-year-old provided the voice of John Redcorn on the long-running TV animation King of the Hill, and played Chief Ken Hotate in sitcom Parks and Recreation. ‌ His husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales said a man "started yelling violent homophobic slurs" then opened fire when they were visiting their former home in Texas, which was destroyed in a fire in January. ‌ Police say they have no evidence of the motive behind the shooting. A police spokesperson said: "Despite online claims of this being a hate crime, currently the investigation has found no evidence to indicate that the Mr Joss's murder was related to his sexual orientation." The shooting happened when the couple went back to the site of their old house, which "was burned down after over two years of threats from people in the area who repeatedly told us they would set it on fire", Gonzales wrote on Facebook. "When we returned to the site to check our mail we discovered the skull of one of our dogs and its harness placed in clear view. 'This caused both of us severe emotional distress. We began yelling and crying in response to the pain of what we saw," he wrote. ‌ "While we were doing this a man approached us. He started yelling violent homophobic slurs at us. He then raised a gun from his lap and fired. "Jonathan and I had no weapons. We were not threatening anyone. We were grieving. We were standing side by side. When the man fired Jonathan pushed me out of the way. He saved my life." Gonzales added that Joss "gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get", and that they were in the process of looking for a trailer after getting married on Valentine's Day. ‌ "I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved." Officers found Joss lying near a road in San Antonio after being called to a report of a shooting. The suspect, Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. ‌ San Antonio Police Department's statement added: "Investigators handle these allegations very seriously and have thoroughly reviewed all available information. "Should any new evidence come to light, the suspect will be charged accordingly." Parks and Recreation actor Nick Offerman paid tribute to Joss. ‌ He told People: "The cast has been texting together about it all day and we're just heartbroken. Jonathan was such a sweet guy and we loved having him as our Chief Ken Hotate. A terrible tragedy." King of the Hill's creators Mike Judge, Greg Daniels and Saladin Patterson said in a statement: "Jonathan Joss brought King of the Hill's John Redcorn to life for over a dozen seasons, including in the upcoming revival. ‌ "His voice will be missed at King of the Hill, and we extend our deepest condolences to Jonathan's friends and family." King of the Hill, set in Texas, is about the life of propane salesman Hank Hill and his family and friends. It was created in 1997 by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels and ran for more than 250 episodes. It is now being revived, and the new season will be available on Hulu from August 4.
