Tom Taylor continued his excellent form with another four wickets as Worcestershire bowled Warwickshire out for 227 on the opening day of their County Championship match at Visit Worcestershire New RoadTaylor took 4-37 as Warwickshire, having been strongly placed at 161-2 thanks to Sam Hain (86 from 152 balls) and Tom Latham (59, 153), lost their last eight wickets for 66 runs.Worcestershire then rounded off a very satisfactory day's work by reaching a composed 53 without loss with Jake Libby on 39 (54) and Gareth Roderick 13 (42).Warwickshire chose to bat but had to work hard for runs in the morning session as the seamers found plenty of lateral moment. Rob Yates perished to the seventh ball of the day - and Taylor's first - when he edged an attempt to force through the offside to wicketkeeper Gareth Roderick. Alex Davies fell to the 118th when he was pinned plum lbw by Matthew Waite.Latham and Hain retrenched, the former solidly, the latter sketchily at first before settling into some glorious shots, notably sixes down the ground off Taylor and pulled off Ethan Brookes. The third-wicket pair batted diligently to add 109 in 32 overs and were moving their side into ascendancy when Worcestershire struck three big blows in seven overs.Brookes dismissed Latham with a lovely outswinger which took the edge through to the keeper and Beau Webster who sliced a drive to point. Ed Barnard, warmly applauded to the crease at his former home ground, soon returned to the pavilion nursing a 12-ball duck after edging Jacob Duffy to first slip.Hain passed 50 for the first time this season and was within 14 of building it into a century when he edged Waite to second slip. Henry Nicholls accepted that catch and another one 18 balls later when Kai Smith edged Taylor to first slip.Zen Malik dug in for a well-constructed 34 (58) which included a straight six off Waite to raise the 200 but his departure, lbw to Taylor, triggered the loss of the last three wickets for four runs in four balls. Taylor trapped Ethan Bamber in front and Chris Woakes, playing his first championship match of the season and only his tenth in seven years, edged Duffy to second slip.It was an excellent collective effort from the home seamers, led by Taylor who has taken 15 wickets in the first innings of the last four championship games.Worcestershire's reply started at a gallop with 12 from the first over from Bamber. Harry Brook's Midas touch as England captain continued as predecessor Jos Buttler 's highest Twenty20 international score on home soil and a career-best comeback from Liam Dawson led to victory over West Indies by 21 runs. Buttler's 96 off 59 balls provided the heft in a score of 188 for six and Dawson celebrated a recall following a three-year exile by claiming four for 20 with his slow left arm. England's tactics in their first outing in this format under Brook were more Chennai than Chester-le-Street: four spinners selected partly due to the dimensions of the ground, as one of the country's bigger playing areas, and partly because next year's World Cup is in India and Sri Lanka. And with runs on the board, Dawson's deceptive brilliance ensured England made it four wins out of four under the Yorkshireman following the one-day whitewash. All but Buttler were neutered in the second half of the innings as West Indies profited from reducing pace on the ball and adopting a full and wide line, but even though the ex-England captain made it look like a different game, he was denied a second hundred at this level when Joseph pinned him leg before in the penultimate over.

England boss Thomas Tuchel revealed Arsenal star Saka only completed one full session after picking up a knock before the training camp. But Tuchel insisted that Saka has a huge future with England in the long term after picking him out as a standout player for club and country. Saka missed a huge chunk of last season after undergoing hamstring surgery which ruled him out of Tuchel's first squad. Tuchel said: 'He came into camp with a little bit of discomfort from the last match against Southampton, so we took care of him and treated him individually until today basically. 'It was the first training session that he started and finished with the group. Yesterday, he started with the group but did not finish with the group, so let's see. 'I'm not sure if we take the risk for tomorrow's game. The decision has not been taken, but he will be available for the Senegal match, and he plays a major role in our thoughts how to build a competitive team. 'I think just that he grew in his personality with every season that he played so consistently for his club, and the club grew with him and became so competitive. He was just a driver in all this development at Arsenal - one of the key players, one of the main drivers of this competitiveness. 'Until his latest injury he was more or less always available, always playable every three days. He had this consistency in his game and in his body, which made him very unique. He was decisive for England, he took responsibility, he bounced back after kind of decisive and dramatic penalty miss. 'It's nice to see that he's back because he wanted to be back, and you straight away see when he comes in that he is comfortable to be with the squad, he knows what it takes to be a national player.' Ollie Watkins has pulled out of the England squad through injury. Aston Villa striker Watkins will sit out the World Cup qualifying match with Andorra on Saturday and the friendly with Senegal next week. Tuchel has no plans to call up a replacement and England will prepare for both games with a 25 man squad.
