Police have confirmed that a 45-year-old man was rushed to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries
A man has been left seriously injured after being struck by a car in Dundee that closed a road for over nine hours.
Emergency services raced to Old Glamis Road at around 1.05pm on Wednesday, May 7, following reports of a collision between a grey BMW and a pedestrian.

Police have confirmed that a 45-year-old man was rushed to Ninewells Hospital with serious injuries, while the 39-year-old male driver of the vehicle was uninjured .

Police closed the road for several hours to allow crash investigators to examine the scene. Eye witnesses told the Record that forensics were in attendance with plain clothes officers and unmarked cars.
The road later reopened at around 10pm .
Officers from Police Scotland are now appealing for witnesses or dash-cam footage to help piece together exactly what happened.

Sergeant Brian McEwan , from the Road Policing Unit, said: 'Our enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. I am appealing for anyone who saw the crash who hasn't already spoken to officers to get in touch.
'I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist to contact us.'
