Abu Dhabi, UAE – Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, will attend LogiPharma 2025, taking place from 8–10 April, Centre de Congrès de Lyon, France. As a leading voice in pharmaceutical airfreight, the carrier will be joined at booths 84 and 85 by strategic partners Abu Dhabi's Department of Health and RAFED, underscoring Abu Dhabi's goal to become a global pharmaceutical and life science distribution hub.

9 June 2025 22:01 SAMIHAH ZAMAN (ALETIHAD)A trio of global experts in paediatrics and a top orthopaedic surgeon are offering care and consultations in Abu Dhabi this month, the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH) has doctors are headed to the emirate as part of the DoH's Visiting Physicians Programme, which aims to extend advanced healthcare services to residents.'The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi welcomes top-tier doctors from around the world to the Emirate during June, offering exceptional healthcare services through the Visiting Physicians Programme,' the DoH - Abu Dhabi's health regulator - announced in a post on its social media platforms. Visiting Physicians: June (From left to right) Dr. Kaveh Asadi, Dr. Matthew Dobbs, and Professor Oliver Berborgt are offering care in Abu Dhabi this June Dr. Kaveh Asadi, paediatric neurosurgery consultant at St Mary Hospital, Paley Institute in Florida, US, is one of the eminent doctors who will see patients in Abu Dhabi. He will be available at Burjeel Medical City's Paley Middle East Centre between June 9-13, and also on June 23. Dr. Asadi specialises in selective dorsal rhizotomy for the treatment of cerebral palsy, intra dural tumour treatment, craniofacial surgery, and tethered cord Matthew Dobbs, paediatric orthopaedic consultant at St. Mary Hospital in the US, will also join Dr. Asadi at the Burjeel Medical City between June 9-13. Dr. Dobbs' areas of specialisation include the treatment of congenital and developmental foot, lower extremity deformities, flatfoot deformities, cerebral palsy spasticity, and Oliver Verborgt, head of services for orthopaedics at Belgium's Monica Hospital, will also offer his expert care at the Tarmeem Hospital in Abu Dhabi on June 27 and 28. Prof Verborgt specialises in shoulder and elbow surgeries and reconstruction, and in the management of sports-related DoH has urged patients to directly contact the respective hospitals to book appointments. Earlier this month, Dr. Annique Hogan, an award-winning physician and paediatrician at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, also saw patients at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, sharing her expert advice on the care of children with complex medical needs. Complex Care Close to Home The DoH's Visiting Physicians Programme breaks new ground every month, ensuring care for complex medical conditions within Abu Dhabi. Since its launch in 2021, the programme has partnered with leading global health institutions to offer treatment and surgeries for patients in the region while eliminating the need for them to travel of December 2024, a total of 3,277 patients with rare and complex medical conditions had received care in Abu Dhabi as part of the to the DoH, the top five specialties in which visiting physicians offer care include paediatric haematology for bone marrow transplants; plastic surgery for lymphedema and brachial plexus; adult orthopaedic surgeries for complex ankle, foot, shoulder, hand and scoliosis; paediatric orthopaedic care for limb lengthening and limb deformities; and ophthalmology. Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ezhou Huahu Airport during Air Cargo Europe 2025, reinforcing the carrier's commitment to expanding access across Asia-Pacific and unlocking greater trade potential between China and global markets. The agreement was signed by Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways, Luo Guowei, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Hubei Airport Group Company and Chairman of Hubei International Logistics Airport Company, and Li Wei, Deputy General Manager of Hubei International Logistics Airport Company. The signing took place at the Etihad Cargo stand and marks the start of a long-term collaboration between the two organisations. As part of the agreement, Etihad Cargo will strengthen its strategic presence at Ezhou Huahu Airport, which will serve as a key gateway within its broader China network. This complements the carrier's ongoing operations in Shanghai (PVG) and Shenzhen (SZX), ensuring nationwide access and greater flexibility for customers. 'Ezhou Huahu Airport is already recognised across China for its outstanding capabilities and world-class logistics infrastructure,' said Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer at Etihad Airways. 'This partnership will amplify Ezhou Huahu Airport's strengths across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It represents an exciting opportunity to accelerate the development of more connected, efficient logistics solutions and those not yet engaging with this corridor risk being left behind.' 4 June 2025 22:48 ABU DHABI (WAM)The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) has published its 2024 Annual Report, showcasing its pioneering achievements in advancing strategic objectives aligned with the UAE's foreign aid report underscores the ADFD's vital role in supporting global sustainable development and enhancing the quality of life for communities report emphasises ADFD's significant contributions to major national agendas, including the UAE Export Development Policy, UAE Centennial 2071, and Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. These efforts are led by the Abu Dhabi Exports Office (ADEX), part of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), aimed at strengthening the global competitiveness of the UAE's industrial the end of 2024, ADFD's cumulative development financing reached Dh216.5 billion, benefitting 107 countries across various continents. This total comprises Dh157 billion in concessional loans, Dh57.6 billion in government grants, and Dh1.9 billion in direct financing supported strategic projects in critical sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure, such as housing, transportation, education, technology, and water security, helping to drive economic growth and improve quality of life in partner nations. Private Sector Growth ADFD remains committed to supporting the national economy and the long-term growth of Emirati companies, while enhancing their international reach.
