Flight carrying Indian students from Iran lands in Delhi as Tehran opens airspace
The first flight carrying Indian students from Iran landed in Delhi on Friday night at around 11.40 pm under India's evacuation program, Operation Sindhu. This rescue operation is being conducted through Mahan Air's chartered flights from Mashhad to bring approximately 1,000 Indians back home.While the first flight from Mashhad has already arrived, the second flight from Ashgabat is scheduled to land on Saturday morning at around 10 am. The third flight will land on Saturday evening.advertisement"We consider Indians as our own people. Iran's airspace is closed but because of this issue, we are making arrangements to open it for the safe passage of Indian nationals," Mohammad Javad Hosseini, the deputy chief of mission at the Iranian embassy said at a media briefing.
"The first flight will land tonight at the New Delhi airport and there will be two more flights on Saturday," he said.This comes two days after India launched 'Operation Sindhu' to evacuate its nationals from Iran amid escalating hostilities between Iran and Israel.Must Watch

Israel is the only country in the Middle East widely believed to have nuclear weapons, and said it struck Iran to prevent Tehran from developing its own nuclear weapons. Iran, which says its nuclear program is peaceful, has retaliated with its own strikes on Israel. Iran is a party to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, while Israel is not. Israel's strikes have killed 639 people in Iran, according to the Human Rights Activists News Agency. Israel says Iranian attacks have killed 24 civilians in Israel.

Putin says US, Israel agreed to protect Russian workers at Iran's nuclear plant

No reply from Azerbaijan, Kol prof heads to Armenia
1 2 Kolkata: After waiting for four days for the migration code from the Azerbaijan authorities, Falguni Dey, the geography professor from Kolkata who travelled 1,000 km from Tehran to reach Astara, will now have to head towards Armenia, where Indian nationals are being allowed to cross the border. Dey left Tehran on Sunday in a car and travelled for nearly 40 hours to reach Astara. While he escaped the war-ravaged Tehran along with thousands of Iranians and foreign nationals, he had applied for the e-visa with the Azerbaijan authorities. He initially planned to move to Baku after crossing the border and catch a flight to India from there. "Azerbaijan was allowing US and Russian nationals to cross the border via Astara. There was no bar for Indian nationals. I presumed they would allow Indians too and waited for their approval. But it seems that the permission has got stuck in diplomatic tangles," he said. On Friday, an exasperated Dey sounded helpless. "I needed a migration code for my e-visa application. Four days have passed since I applied. "The Nurduz-Agarak area in Iran is around 450 km from Astara. I don't have cash, and I am clueless about paying for a car to drive me there. But I have to take a chance and get out of Iran anyhow," he said.
