Over 1.32 Lakh Seats Allotted in Vidarbha as Maharashtra's FYJC Admissions Begin
Nagpur: The Maharashtra school education department is set to begin the First-Year Junior College (FYJC) admission process under CAP Round 1 from July 1, with nearly 33% of seats allotted in Vidarbha—marginally higher than the state average of around 30%.
Students will have about a week to complete the admission formalities. For the first time in Maharashtra, Class 11 admissions are being conducted on the same online platform where the merit list was declared, which was released on Saturday.
In the Vidarbha region comprising Nagpur and Amravati divisions, 1,32,708 seats have been allotted out of 4,08,490 available, reflecting an allotment rate of 32.5%. This indicates that nearly two-thirds of the seats remain open for future rounds, offering students greater flexibility and choice in the upcoming stages.
Among the three academic streams, science emerged as the most preferred option. Of the 1,85,275 science seats available in Vidarbha, 75,445 were allotted, showing a fill rate of 40.7%. The arts stream followed with 44,348 allotments from 1,61,435 seats, resulting in a 27.5% fill rate. Commerce remained the least sought-after stream, with only 12,915 of 61,780 seats allotted—a low fill rate of just 20.9%.
A district-wise analysis reveals that the Amravati division slightly outperformed the Nagpur division in terms of allotments.

Ishta Devata and Dharma Devata: Your personal deities from the chart
I portray Ishta and Dharma Devatas in a Renaissance style, bathed in the golden light of spiritual awakening. Ishta offers blessings while Dharma upholds the cosmic order. Vedic astrology says spiritual connection is deeply personal. While many worship different forms of the Divine, your birth chart can actually indicate which specific deity or energy form is most aligned with your soul's evolution. These divine guides are called your Ishta Devata and Dharma Devata. What is Ishta Devata? Ishta Devata means 'cherished or personal deity.' It is the form of the Divine that your soul is closest to—the one you're spiritually drawn to at the soul level. This deity acts as your inner guide and protector, helping you grow spiritually and emotionally. What is Dharma Devata? Dharma Devata is the deity who helps you walk your life's righteous path—your dharma. This divine energy supports your worldly actions, duties, and ethical growth. Ishta Devata = personal soul guide Dharma Devata = life path protector How to find them in the chart: Finding these deities requires advanced astrological steps using the Navamsa chart (D-9) and Atmakaraka (your soul's planet). First, locate your Atmakaraka. In the Navamsa chart, place the Atmakaraka as the Ascendant – this is called the Karakamsa Lagna. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Perdagangkan CFD Emas dengan Broker Tepercaya IC Markets Mendaftar Undo Then check: 12th house from Karakamsa Lagna → Planet ruling that house gives you the Ishta Devata 9th house from Karakamsa Lagna → Ruling planet gives you the Dharma Devata Each planet connects with a deity. For example: Sun – Lord Shiva Moon – Parvati or Gauri Mars – Subramanya or Hanuman Mercury – Vishnu Jupiter – Brihaspati (Guru) or Narayana Venus – Lakshmi Saturn – Lord Shani or Yama Rahu/Ketu – often linked with shadowy or tantric forms Knowing your Ishta Devata can enhance your spiritual practice, meditation, and personal devotion. It brings focus and a sense of inner connection. The Dharma Devata, on the other hand, helps you stay aligned with your responsibilities and higher path. CUET UG 2025 result delay sparks nationwide anger, demands grow for overhaul of NTA
As thousands of students continue to await the CUET UG 2025 results , frustration is boiling over into a larger outcry against the National Testing Agency (NTA) — with many questioning not just the delay, but the overall credibility and accountability of India's central exam body. The Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduates, launched as a transformative step to streamline admissions to over 250 central, state, and private universities, now stands at the centre of controversy due to the lack of a declared result date and no official update from the NTA, reported ToI. Mounting criticism over silence, mismanagement Students and educators have taken to social media to express growing distrust in the NTA, citing bureaucratic opacity, technical mismanagement, and lack of communication. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Health: Over-40s are snapping up the new indestructible military smartwatch Indestructible Smartwatch Undo On X, formerly Twitter, user @TejasvaShukla posted: 'Shut down NTA. This institution has failed lakhs of students. And it continues to function without accountability.' Live Events — TejasvaShukla (@TejasvaShukla) Similarly, Garvit Sethi, another user, criticised the agency for 'repeated failures' in multiple exams including CUET, NEET, and UGC-NET, pointing out issues ranging from faulty answer keys and last-minute exam rescheduling to glitches during test administration. He echoed growing sentiment that if the NTA 'can't function transparently and responsibly, it should not function at all.' — garvit_sethii (@garvit_sethii) Another student, Shipra S, wrote on X about the agency's helpline remaining unresponsive during critical times, a complaint many CUET aspirants have raised over the past week. — ShipraS9 (@ShipraS9) Admission calendars disrupted, universities in limbo The delay in results has also disrupted the academic timelines of several universities. With admissions, hostel allocations, and scholarship processes on hold, institutions are unable to begin counselling until the final scores are released. Administrative officials at several universities have expressed concern that if the delay stretches further, it could compress or derail the entire academic calendar for undergraduate admissions in 2025. As of Monday, the NTA has not issued any explanation or updated schedule for the release of the final answer key or CUET UG 2025 results. The lack of clarity has fuelled calls for urgent structural reforms, including proposals for independent oversight of national-level examination bodies. Some educators have also weighed in on the need to revisit the centralisation of entrance exams like CUET, which were meant to make admissions more equitable but now face criticism for becoming stress-inducing and logistically unreliable. Once announced, students will be able to access their results via the NTA's official website — but until then, the uncertainty continues.
