A55 crash live updates as 'van towing caravan overturns on carriageway'
A stretch of the A55 has been closed after a van towing a caravan reportedly overturned on the carriageway. Drivers have been warned that the westbound carriageway is closed between Dobshill and Ewloe as a result of the crash.
Witnesses said a van towing a caravan had flipped over on the carriageway, with the road blocked as a result. The caravan was reportedly badly damaged in the incident.

Man who knew Madeleine McCann suspect makes huge claim as police search in Portugal
A man who knew Madeleine McCann's prime suspect, Christian Brueckner, has urgently pleaded with the authorities, suggesting they could be focusing their search in the wrong place. Investigators are continuing their search of several abandoned buildings and a farmhouse close to the area of Praia da Luz, where Madeleine McCann was last seen while on holiday with her parents and siblings. Yesterday, June 4, marked the second day of the latest searches for the missing Madeleine McCann who disappeared while in the region, aged three. German and Portuguese police officers are involved in the investigations alongside firefighters as they look for evidence that could implicate prime suspect Brueckner. The search comes on the request of the German federal police. Brueckner is currently in prison for raping a 72-year-old woman in Praia da Luz in 2005, but is due to be released from jail in September if no further charges are brought forward. Police issue update on search for owners of dogs found in car stopped on A55
Police are still trying to track down the owner of one of two dogs found in a car stopped on the A55 on Tuesday afternoon. The dogs were discovered after North Wales Police were called to a report a vehicle towing a caravan had been seen weaving on the carriageway. The vehicle - a BMW X5 - was stopped in Colwyn Bay, and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. Two dogs were found in the vehicle, but police said the driver was unable to give an account of who owned the animals or what they were called. Sign up for the North Wales Live newsletter sent twice daily to your inbox The man was further arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, theft of dogs, obstruct police and an outstanding fail to appear allegation, they said. A 30-year-old man, from County Laois in Ireland, was released under investigation, however was remanded to appear before Llandudno Magistrates Court this morning charged with the separate fail to appear allegation. The dogs – a Jack Russell cross puppy and a Fell Terrier - were taken to the Colwyn Bay Neighbourhood Policing Team office at Police Headquarters, and they have since been taken to kennels where they remain. Both dogs were checked for microchips and one has since been identified but police enquiries are ongoing to identify the owner of the second dog.
