Jonathan Joss, ‘King of the Hill' actor, killed in Texas shooting
Actor Jonathan Joss, best known for voicing John Redcorn in King of the Hill, has died in a shooting, according to Texas police.
San Antonio police confirmed to Variety that Joss, 59, died on Saturday. According to a police report viewed by The Hollywood Reporter, the cause of death was from 'injuries sustained after multiple gun shots.'
Police were reportedly dispatched to a scene while a shooting was in progress, and Joss was discovered near the road, having been shot multiple times. An attempt to revive him was unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the shooter fled the area in a vehicle, but was detained by officers only a block away. Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, 56, was arrested and has been booked for murder.

TMZ, which broke the news, reported that Joss was shot by a neighbour after a heated argument.

In a statement shared to Facebook, Joss's husband Tristan Kern de Gonzales wrote that he was 'murdered by someone who could not stand the sight of two men loving each other'. He added: 'Jonathan is my husband. He gave me more love in our time together than most people ever get … I was with him when he passed. I told him how much he was loved.'
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
Joss starred on King of the Hill in seasons 2 through 13. He also played Ken Hotate in Parks and Recreation and had roles in Tulsa King and the 2016 remake of The Magnificent Seven.

According to Variety, Joss had already recorded lines for the upcoming King of the Hill revival, set to air this August, and his character can be seen in promo materials for the reboot.

Kai Ji Adam Lo is charged with eight counts of second-degree murder in connection with the incident. Family of B.C. Mountie who took own life angry officer she was involved with now with SPS

The family of a Richmond RCMP officer who took her own life four years ago is upset the senior officer with whom she was involved in a relationship has now been hired by the Surrey Police Service. Const. Jasmine Thiara died by suicide on Richmond's Moray Bridge on Feb. 21, 2021, shortly after texting a colleague that she was being bullied by a senior Mountie she was involved with. 2:02 Families seek answers over similar deaths of two female police officers 'She had so much life to live, and she was so ambitious; this wasn't a person with suicidal ideation, this was someone planning for the future of herself and her unborn child,' Raven Thiara, Jasmine's sister, told Global News on Wednesday. A subsequent probe by the Independent Investigations Office concluded there was no evidence of bullying or criminal harassment that led to her death. The officer faced a separate internal RCMP code of conduct investigation, the results of which the force will not release, citing the Privacy Act. However, the RCMP did confirm he voluntarily resigned earlier this year. 'We never want this to happen. The other thing that I will say is that multiple independent agencies investigated this case, and have come to, from what we are aware (is), the same conclusion. Raven said the family isn't finished pursuing Jasmine's case, and hasn't ruled out private legal action. She said the family has also filed a complaint through the Surrey Police Board. 'We're entitled to feel safe when we call someone to service. We're entitled to know who's coming to our door with a gun and badge, and we're entitled to know if that history includes any investigation into the death of a deceased partner,' she said. 'I'm patient. I believe the road to justice is long, and we're here for that whole road, we will see justice through. And I don't believe by the end of this road that he will be carrying a gun or a badge.'
