Taylor Swift Makes Huge Announcement on Friday originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, have kept a low profile this offseason.
After 149 "Eras Tour" shows across the world, Swift earned a much-deserved breaks While fans hoped she'd soon announce either "Reputation: Taylor's Version" or the re-recorded version of her self-titled debut, she's remained out of the spotlight.
However, on May 30, Swift surprised fans with a huge announcement about her music and career. The 35-year-old pop star now finally owns all her music and master recordings.
"All I've ever wanted was the opportunity to work hard enough to be able to buy and purchase my music outright. I'm simply attached, in partnership, with full authorization. It will be forever, starting at midnight @ the moment Capital has transferred everything back over to the hands of me."
Back in 2019, Scooter Braun's Ithaca Holdings purchased Big Machine Label Group, which owned Swift's master recordings. The "Karma" singer then moved to re-record her music in order to regain ownership. In 2020, Shamrock Capital purchased Swift's master recordings.
Sources told Billboard that Swift purchased her catalog back to her "for an amount relatively close to what they paid for it -- around $360 million."
While she already re-recorded "Taylor Swift (Taylor's Version)," and loves how it sounds, she revealed "Reputation: Taylor's Version)" is not even close to being finished.
"I haven't even recovered a quarter of it. The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to rework it... To be perfectly honest, it's the one album in the first 6 that I thought couldn't be improved upon by redoing it."
Both her debut and "Rep:TV" will "re-emerge when the time is right."This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on May 30, 2025, where it first appeared.

Shams Charania Drops Major Kevin Durant Trade Update on Wednesday

Shams Charania Drops Major Kevin Durant Trade Update on Wednesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Budenholzer replaced Frank Vogel, who was also fired after one season. Phoenix missed the playoffs and play-in tournament this year despite having Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Charania is reporting that Booker was involved in the Suns' coaching search process during the final stages and stamped Ott as his top choice. Durant, though, wasn't involved. That's because the Suns are expected to work together with the superstar and his business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, on a trade. "The Suns will work with All-Star forward Kevin Durant and his business partner, Boardroom CEO Rich Kleiman, on his next landing spot," Charania wrote. "He is expected to have a robust market of approximately four to six seriously interested teams this offseason, sources said." Phoenix Suns star Kevin Chenoy-Imagn Images A future Hall of Famer, Durant has one year remaining on his contract. The small forward will make $54.7 million next season. Taylor Swift Turns Heads With Fan Interaction During Travis Kelce Date Night

Taylor Swift Turns Heads With Fan Interaction During Travis Kelce Date Night originally appeared on Athlon Sports. After a few months of staying hidden, pop star Taylor Swift and boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, ended their public hiatus together and hit the town in Palm Beach, Florida, for a date night last week. The couple was seen out on the town in Palm Beach again just a few days ago, this time at upscale café Buccan, and there Swift had an eyebrow-raising interaction with one of her fans. In an exclusive interview with Page Six, noted Swiftie Pamela Goodman revealed that she was also at the restaurant and actually spoke to the 'Love Story' singer, who was seated right next to her with her bodyguard also sitting close by. Goodman revealed that Buccan's owner approached her and her friend to make sure they didn't make any sort of scene sitting next to high-profile couple. But that didn't stop Goodman from taking the opportunity to speak with one of her heroes. 'I stood up and said, 'Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but I'm probably one of your oldest and biggest Swifties on the planet' and she laughed,' Goodman stated. 'I said, 'I just had to stop and congratulate you on the re-ownership of your masters. I'm so, so happy for you. Congratulations.'' Swift replied: 'I noticed you. You are so beautiful. Thank you so much,' before shaking hands. Fans took to social media to react to Swift's heartfelt interaction with one of her biggest fans, many of whom applauded Goodman for not only having the nerve to approach the biggest pop star on the planet but also sharing the story with a new outlet given all the negative publicity Swift has had in recent months. 'Need to queen out with miss Pamela so bad,' one fan wrote. 'Pamela spoke to Page Six and she continues to be one of the sweetest Senior Swifties! This article is so cute 🥰' another added. 'Total respect for Pamela,' a third fan noted. 'Pamela is a queen....' one user replied. 'I want to be Pam when I grow up,' remarked another user. 'Miss Pamela we love you queen,' another fan commented. Goodman admitted she also had to let Kelce know she had been a Chiefs fans for many years and was rooting for him to win his fourth Super Bowl championship. 'I lived in Kansas City for seven years before you were even born but I'm a longtime Chiefs fan and I just wish you the best success in the season this year,' Goodman recalled of what she told Kelce. 'You're going to go back and I just know you're going to do it and I can't wait to watch it happen.'This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Jun 6, 2025, where it first appeared.

Ravens Won't Play Games With Potential Lamar Jackson Extension

Ravens Won't Play Games With Potential Lamar Jackson Extension originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Competency is underrated. A handful of teams have franchise quarterbacks. Several teams have playoff-caliber star power. But few teams are capable of recognizing when they have something good and doing everything in their power to hold onto it. Advertisement The Baltimore Ravens already made quarterback Lamar Jackson the highest-paid player in the sport in 2023. Just two years later, he's eligible to be extended again. While it may seem early to ask for another extension, Jackson isn't off base. Since Jackson earned his big payday, nine quarterbacks have signed extensions for more average annual value (Over the Cap). Thus, Baltimore may soon return to the negotiating table. Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta recently foreshadowed another Jackson extension coming down the chute. "We've had some conversations before the draft, after the draft, in person last week," DeCosta told Jerry Coleman on the 'BMore Baseball Podcast.' "I think we're in the introductory sort of stage of looking at what an extension might look like." Advertisement The right details may still be in the works, but it should be rather simple. Jackson, soon enough, will be the highest-paid player in the sport once again. He could very well pass the $60 million mark that Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott set ahead of the 2024 campaign. His current deal is worth five years and $260 million. The biggest obstacle in inking Jackson long term (again) might be the talent already on the roster. "We've got a lot of business that we're conducting with different players," DeCosta said. "We're in a situation where we're blessed to have most of the team coming back, but as we look out over the next two, three, four, five years, we're trying to keep as many good players as we can. We've got some guys that we feel like have a chance to really be prolific players for us that can be here a long time. We're trying to get as many of those guys signed up as possible. That's a big challenge, and Lamar's certainly a big part of that." A deal isn't imminent, and with multiple years left on his deal, the situation isn't particularly urgent. Jackson may stand to gain from waiting even longer for more stars to get paid. Advertisement In either event, the number on Jackson's next deal isn't something for Ravens fans to be worried about. He's a superstar with no signs of slowing down playing the sport's most important position. Pay him what he wants and try to win a Super Bowl.
