Legendary Rock Star, 73, Paid His Daughter $100 to Cut Her Hair
Legendary Rock Star, 73, Paid His Daughter $100 to Cut Her Hair originally appeared on Parade. Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp shared that her father, famed singer John Mellencamp, offered her $100 to cut her hair into a short bob during her childhood. While recording the June 9 episode of her podcast, Two Ts In A Pod, co-hosted by Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge, Mellencamp discussed trying to grow out her hair after undergoing radiation for her stage 4 melanoma. She explained that she has continued to shave her head because there are certain spots where her hair has not yet grown back in. "I didn't just shave my head. I went bald. I have bald spots all over my head," said Mellencamp. She also said she wasn't looking forward to the process of growing out her hair. She told Judge that she had a short haircut when she was 10, which she did not find flattering. The RHOBH alum explained that she cut her hair after her father paid her $100 to do so. "When I was 10 years old my dad paid me $100 to cut my hair this short. It was not a good look for me," said Mellencamp during the podcast episode. When Mellencamp said she "can't believe [she] did that for $100," Judge quipped, "You'd do anything for a buck." On June 9, Mellencamp took to her Instagram account to share a picture of herself at 10 years old with the short haircut. She also featured a photo of the actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas. "Who wore it better, young me or JTT?" read the caption of the post. "On the latest @ I was talking about chopping my hair off because @johnmellencamp offered me $100. So I obviously had to find the photo for the social clip. And then I realized I was giving 1990s Home Improvement aesthetics 😭." Several fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts about Mellencamp's post. "You're absolutely adorable no matter what. Why though @johnmellencamp ???" asked a commenter. "Look just like your dad! Definitely got the Mellencamp looks! Cute!" added another. "You did! You resemble your dad. ❤️," shared a different person. Bill Maher mocks Dems for trying to find 'their Joe Rogan,' suggests figuring out how they lost him
"Real Time" host Bill Maher mocked the Democratic Party's attempt to find "their Joe Rogan," pointing out the irony that the podcaster had leaned left until he became disillusioned with the party. The host explained, "One idea that's getting a lot of attention is the Dems need to find their Joe Rogan, a liberal Joe Rogan." Maher argued that rather than "conjuring up a new Joe Rogan," Democrats should be asking themselves how they lost him in the first place. Rogan previously endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders, D-Vt., in the 2020 election. It wasn't until 2024 that Rogan publicly endorsed President Donald Trump. Rogan Reacts Live To Elon's 'Crazy' Epstein Accusation Against Trump While Interviewing Fbi Director The "Real Time" host lampooned the idea that the real reason why former Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election is because "Republicans have a podcast." "Okay, maybe. Or, you could consider this," Maher jeered. "Instead of conjuring up a new Joe Rogan, ask yourself why you lost the old one, because he used to be on your side." Read On The Fox News App In 2024, regarding the Democratic desire to find its own Rogan, the podcaster said, "They had me." "I was on their side," he added. Maher compared Rogan's political transformation to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who was also a liberal who ended up being "driven to the other camp by bad attitudes and bad ideas." Click Here For More Coverage Of Media And Culture Maher noted that he's watched the political evolution of both Rogan and Musk and their party affiliations didn't switch "overnight." Maher referenced a 2022 post on then-Twitter from Elon Musk in which he shared a chart depicting his feeling that the Democratic Party had moved too far to the left for him, rather than his ideology moving to the right. Rogan said that Democrats have moved so far that it "left a basically liberal centrist like him — now labeled a conservative," adding that he related to Musk's post. Maher also highlighted attempts by the left to cancel Rogan and Musk as a key reason they abandoned the party. "They tried real hard to cancel Rogan a few years ago — and when Elon hosted 'Saturday Night Live' in 2021, well before he was a Trumper — some of the cast gave him the cold shoulder for the sin of being rich," he recalled. "You think people don't remember when you do this s--- to them?" The late-night host asserted that while he's never left the party, Democrats need to work hard to get "all the guys in America like Joe and Elon" back on their side, but assured them that it's still article source: Bill Maher mocks Dems for trying to find 'their Joe Rogan,' suggests figuring out how they lost him

Bill Maher compares Musk-Trump feud to Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni legal drama
Bill Maher has waded in on the rift that has emerged between President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, comparing it to Blake Lively's headline-grabbing, It Ends With Us legal drama. Musk and Trump's close relationship imploded this week as the tech mogul, after resigning from his White House role, publicly denounced the president's flagship spending bill and accused him of ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The fallout was always going to be top of the order for Real Time with Bill Maher. 'When you think about it, the richest man in the world and the most powerful man in the world, it's like Godzilla versus King Kong, if Godzilla was on ketamine and King Kong had a comb over,' the comedian said on Friday's episode. He then joked that the two were 'so close, it was like Brangelina or Bennifer,' referencing Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's respective former relationships. 'They had their couple name: E-lump,' Maher quipped. Maher went on to joke that the stakes of the feud were 'so high because the winner faces Blake Lively.' Lively is famously embroiled in a bitter legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. The actors are involved in several legal actions related to her claim that the director sexually harassed her during production of their film, and his claim that she and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, attempted to destroy his career. It was reported on Tuesday that Lewis Liman, the judge who is overseeing the lawsuit, has decided that Lively's claims for emotional distress would be thrown out. The decision is thought to be a response to attempts by Baldoni's legal team to obtain Lively's medical records, including therapy notes and other health details, as part of the discovery process. Esra Hudson and Mike Gottlieb, two of Lively's lawyers, called the filing from Baldoni's team 'a press stunt'. They told Variety in a statement: 'The Baldoni-Wayfarer strategy of filing retaliatory claims has exposed them to expansive new damages claims under California law, rendering certain of Ms Lively's original claims no longer necessary. Ms Lively continues to allege emotional distress, as part of numerous other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, and massive additional compensatory damages on all of her claims.' Last month, Baldoni's team withdrew a subpoena that would have called on Taylor Swift to testify in the trial, which is scheduled to begin on March 9, 2026.
