
COAS visits UK for stabilisation moot
COAS Gen Asim Munir is on an official visit to the UK to participate in the seventh Regional Stabilisation Conference at the esteemed Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where he will deliver a keynote address on "The Emerging World Order and Pakistan's Future Outlook", the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The stabilisation conference serves as the premier platform for army-to-army dialogue between Pakistan and the UK, held annually to foster collaboration, the statement added.
"The event brings together a balanced representation of policymakers, both civil and military, as well as members of prominent think tanks from both nations."
The military's media affairs wing noted that this year's conference holds particular significance in light of the rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape, providing an invaluable opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore pathways for enhanced bilateral cooperation.
On the inaugural day of his visit, COAS Gen Asim Munir was accorded a warm and dignified welcome, including a ceremonial guard of honour at the historic Royal Horse Guards Parade Ground, presented by an impeccably turned-out contingent, the ISPR statement read.

During his interaction, the cheif of army staff (COAS) acknowledged the troops' high morale, operational preparedness, and vigilance in countering Indian ceasefire violations. He reiterated full confidence in the military's capability to deter and defeat any aggression. Addressing the broader regional context, Field Marshal Munir reaffirmed Pakistan's principled stance on Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), vowing continued support for the Kashmiri people's 'just and valiant' struggle. He stressed the need for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN Security Council resolutions. The COAS was received at the LoC by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps upon arrival.

PM, Field Marshal perform Umrah
JEDDAH: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir have performed Umrah along with members of the Pakistani delegation during their ongoing official visit to Saudi Arabia. During the Umrah pilgrimage, special prayers were offered for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the oppressed people of Gaza. Upon arrival in Jeddah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was warmly received by Prince Saud bin Abdullah Al Jiluwi, Governor of Jeddah; Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan; Ahmed Farooq, Pakistan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; and other diplomatic officials. The Prime Minister's visit is scheduled for June 5 and 6, and he is spending Eid-ul-Azha in Saudi Arabia. A special meeting will be held between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the meeting, both leaders will discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in key areas including trade and investment, welfare of the Muslim Ummah, and regional peace and security. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will also thank the Saudi leadership for their constructive role in easing the recent Pakistan-India tensions.

Forces kill two terrorists in Balochistan: ISPR
RAWALPINDI: Security Forces Friday conducted an intelligence based operation in general area Kolpur, Kachhi District of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to what the army called Indian proxy, Fitna al Hindustan. During the conduct of operation, own forces effectively engaged the Fitna al Hindustan terrorists' location, and after an intense fire exchange, two Indian sponsored terrorists were killed, the Inter-Services Public Relations said Friday. The military's media wing said weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the Fitna al Hindustan killed terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous Indian sponsored terrorist activities in the area. Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area, as the security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipeout the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation's unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.
