Carl Pei reacts to the Trump T1 phone: "We're cooked"

The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you would ever look, and for the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) – that means the White House.
No, it's not Trump's administration that holds some kind of grudge against Carl Pei's next flagship. Nothing Phone (3) is expected at the beginning of July, if you're wondering. It's just that President Trump is about to launch his own smartphone, the T1 Phone that we told you about mere hours ago.The Trump T1 Phone is expected to arrive with 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and – most importantly – support for microSD cards to expand storage further. That's a nice one, and I'm not being sarcastic about it. The T1 Phone will allegedly include a 5,000mAh battery and a 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.Sounds OK, but so far there isn't any information about its chipset – the "brain" that drives it all. The price is reportedly set at $499 and the phone will come equipped with a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The Nothing Phone (3) , on the other hand, could come with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset… or the flagship-grade Snapdragon 8 Elite (the one used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra). It is expected to include a larger battery, potentially exceeding 5,000mAh, although the exact capacity has not yet been confirmed. This would mark an improvement over the 4,700mAh battery found in the Nothing Phone (2), which supported both 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.Rumors suggest the new model will offer 12 GB of RAM as a baseline, with one version pairing that with 256 GB of internal storage.

Carl Pei (being Carl Pei ) reacted to the Trump T1 Phone by calling it a "competition" for the Nothing Phone (3) on his X account. His X followers didn't hesitate to join the fun by commenting on the T1 Phone in a very Trump-like tone:

Google mocks Apple for iOS 26 features Pixels have had for ages

After Apple's unveiling of iOS 26, Samsung was quick to poke fun at some of the features that are coming to iPhones this fall after having been available on Samsung devices already, and today Google has joined the fun - better late than never? Google's exceptionally cringy "#BestPhonesForever" campaign has released a new video, and like all the other ones it's set up as a conversation between a Pixel and an iPhone. Only this time, it's all about how iOS 26 has been 'inspired' by Pixel features. Take a look: Auto-translation of messages is mentioned, with the Pixel saying it had that feature four years ago. Then, Hold Assist gets a shoutout too, which the Pixels have had for five years. Next up, call screening - new to iOS 26, but a seven-year-old feature on Pixels. The video ends with the iPhone asking the Pixel what it's working on for the Pixel 10 series, presumably so as to get 'inspired' again for the iPhone 17 family. Cringe-wise, this is one of the tamest videos in the series, and dare we say it - it's actually a bit of fun. That said, expecting competing products and services not to take inspiration from one another isn't very realistic, let's be honest.

Some iPhones running iOS 26 Developer Beta 1 are experiencing very laggy performance

Those of you who ignore warnings about installing beta software and say to themselves, "What can go wrong anyway?" I'd be happy to give you the answer. First, I have no illusions. Installing the first Developer Beta of a new iOS build on your iPhone is even more of a gamble than usual. The fear is that features you rely on every day might not work on the beta. Battery life typically suffers mightily although you do get the first crack at checking out the new features (which I like to have for my job). Now some of you might be asking, if the iOS 26 Developer Beta isn't working right, why not uninstall it and go back to iOS 18.5? If you were to do that, it would force you to wipe all of your apps off your phone, If you backed up the data on your iPhone before installing the iOS 26 Developer Beta as we suggested, wiping the device and restarting is still a pain in the ass albeit a little less so. Apple has released two versions of the iOS 26 Developer Beta 1. | Image credit-PhoneArena If you are running the iOS 26 Developer Beta on your iPhone, has the handset suddenly become frozen with the content on the screen seemingly unable to follow the lead of your finger on the touch screen? The good news is that the iOS 26 Public Beta is expected sometime in July. That release could include some patches designed to exterminate some of the bugs discovered on the first iOS 26 Developer Beta. If you must have your important iPhone features working at all times, perhaps installing an iOS beta release is something that you should not be doing. Take this as a warning and next time you're prompted to load a beta version of iOS, take a wide pass. Secure your connection now at a bargain price! vivo Poland is hinting at a potential European launch of the X200 FE

A reader from Poland contacted us with an interesting observation – vivo Poland has been busy promoting the V50 and V50 Lite on Facebook, but it has been dropping hints that an even more interesting launch may be around the corner. Krzysztof Pl asked about the vivo X200 Pro mini and vivo responded (machine translated): 'We have no information about the availability of these models in Poland, but there will be something for Pro Mini fans soon'. A similar response when inquired about the X200 Pro mini and S30 Pro mini reads: 'For fans of these models we have some interesting information... we will talk about it in a few weeks'. Is it a coincidence that this is happening just as vivo announced the launch date for the X200 FE? The vivo X200 Pro mini, S30 Pro and X200 FE are fairly similar – they combine a small 6.31' LTPO display with a flagship Dimensity chipset and feature a 50MP periscope. vivo X200 FE colorways There are differences, of course, e.g. the X200 Pro mini has a large 1/1.28' sensor in the main camera, while the S30 Pro mini has a smaller 1/1.56' sensor. The X200 FE is rumored to be a variant of the S30 Pro mini and it should have the same sensor (a Sony IMX921) in its main camera. The vivo X200 FE will launch on June 23 (Monday) and it looks like Taiwan and Malaysia will be among the first markets to get it. If a European launch is happening as the admin of the vivo Poland Facebook page is suggesting, it may come a bit later ('in a few weeks'). The vivo X200 FE has a '6.31-inch Zeiss Color Master display' A quick look at the vivo Poland homepage shows that vivo has been selling X Pro models going back to the X60 Pro. This will be vivo's first 'FE' model, but we'd be glad to see a wider availability of a premium mini – especially after OnePlus declined to bring the 13T/13s to more markets.
