
HMC's Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital inaugurates physiotherapy outpatient services unit for females

With growing demand for specialised physiotherapy care in the northern region of Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital (AAH) has announced the opening of a state-of-the-art Physiotherapy Outpatient Department for female patients.
The launch, which took place on Wednesday, May 14, marked the final phase of the Physiotherapy Adult Outpatient Service expansion, underlining HMC ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality for all residents in the region.
The newly expanded female outpatient physiotherapy services follow the earlier introduction of male expansion, offering customised treatment plans for orthopaedic pre- and post-surgical care, musculoskeletal disorders, and chronic pain management.
Dr. Hanadi Al Hamad, deputy chief for Long Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care Services and Geriatric Care, and lead of Corporate Rehabilitation Therapy Services, emphasised the importance of this milestone.
She said, 'This opening is a crucial step for improving rehabilitation services in the northern region of Qatar. We are thrilled to introduce our female physiotherapy service, which represents a significant advancement in our commitment to patient care. Our goal is to offer tailored, high-quality care that helps our patients achieve optimal recovery. We are looking to further expand our services to include more comprehensive rehabilitation options. By meeting the high demand for these services, we aim to elevate the standard of patient care and well-being in the region.'

Pakistan Healthcare Solutions Conference in Doha fosters bilateral collaboration

The event, organised with the Atlantic International Business Network (AIBN) as the executive partner, aimed to advance a shared vision for healthcare innovation and strengthen Pakistan-Qatar collaboration. The conference was honoured by the presence of Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination of Pakistan, Syed Mustafa Kamal, as the chief guest from Pakistan, and Assistant Minister for Health Affairs, Ministry of Public Health, Qatar, HE Dr. Salih Al Marri, as the chief guest from Qatar. Ali Al Janahi, HMC acting assistant managing director, Dr. Abdulla Ali Al-Ansari, medical advisor to the managing director of HMC, also attended, highlighting the high-level commitment to bilateral healthcare ties. The event brought together key stakeholders from the medical, pharmaceutical, telehealth, academic, and regulatory sectors of both nations. It provided a platform for government officials, healthcare leaders, innovators, and investors to explore opportunities for cross-border partnerships and advancements in healthcare development. The program commenced with inaugural addresses by Dean of Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, Javaid I. Sheikh, M.D., M.B.A., and the Executive Director of the ITQAN Clinical Simulation and Innovation Centre, Dr. Abdulla Ahmad. Their remarks underscored the transformative potential of collaborative efforts in strengthening healthcare systems between Pakistan and Qatar. Keynote presentations were delivered by Lt. Gen. Arshad Naseem HI (M), surgeon general of Pakistan, and Prof. Dr. Ambreen Afzal Ehsan, vice president of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. These sessions highlighted Pakistan's advancements in healthcare and set the stage for discussions on bilateral cooperation. Two high-level panel discussions enriched the conference. The first, on Pakistan-Qatar R&D Collaboration, moderated by Rahid Mazhar, featured experts including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yar, Dr. Ali Raza, Dr. Rayaz Malik, and Dr. Yousuf Al Maslamani. The second, on Emerging Smart Healthcare and Innovation Opportunities, moderated by Dr. Hasham Khan, included Dr. Fatih Mehmet Gul, Dr. Rola Hammoud, Dr. Zahid Ali, Dr. Javaid Sheikh, and Muhammad Irfan, focusing on innovative healthcare technologies. HMC receives Digital Innovation Award at Google Cloud Summit

The award recognises HMC's pioneering initiatives in leveraging advanced technologies to enhance healthcare delivery. Dr Amal Abdulla, chief of health information and communications technology, received the award on behalf of HMC from HE Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology. The summit served as a platform to celebrate Qatar's progress in digital transformation and showcase the latest advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and cloud technology. Dr Abdulla emphasized that HMC's adoption of AI technology played a central role in securing the award. Hamad Medical Corporation announces Eid Al Adha 2025 operational hours
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced the operating hours of its services during the Eid Al Adha holiday. Emergency All emergency departments and the Ambulance Service will continue to operate as normal, 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week for medical emergencies and individuals requiring emergency medical assistance. The Pediatric Emergency Centers will remain open 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week for medical emergencies involving children under the age of 14 years. Nesma'ak The Nesma'ak 16060 call center and the 16000 Government Healthcare Hotline will continue to operate 24/7. Outpatient clinics All HMC Outpatient clinics will be closed from 5 June to 9 June and will re-open on 10 June. Please note that patients with scheduled outpatient appointments during the Eid period will be contacted if there is any change to their scheduled date. Urgent Consultation Service & Pharmacy Home Delivery Service Urgent Consultation Service and the Pharmacy Home Delivery Service (both accessed via 16000) will be closed from 5 June and reopen on 10 June. National Mental Health Helpline The National Mental Health Helpline (accessed via 16000) will be operating as usual, 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday to Thursday. Therapeutic Dietetics and Nutrition Services Therapeutic Dietetics and Nutrition Services (accessed via 16060) will be open on 5 June from 7 am to 12 pm. The service will be closed on the first day of Eid. From the second day of Eid until 9 June, the service will operate 7 am -12 pm except for weekends when they are closed. Qatar National Blood Donation Center The Qatar National Blood Donation Center will be open on 5 June from 7 am to 10 pm.
