COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – From Highball Halloween to Ohio State's homecoming weekend, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.
Ohio State homecoming parade
The homecoming parade is one of Ohio State's biggest and longest-running traditions. The parade will start at Ohio Stadium in the West Stadium parking lot and end at the Ohio Union.
Dane Cook: Fresh New Flavor
Comedian Dane Cook, known for his stand-up comedy specials, will perform at Mershon Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Great Gahanna Goblin Fest
The annual event will offer trick-or-treat stations, hayrides, performers, food trucks and more for the whole family to enjoy. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their Halloween costumes.
Boo at the Zoo
Celebrate spooky season with several fun events and activities for all ages. Anyone wanting to come to Boo at the Zoo can wear their favorite costumes, meet with zoo character ambassadors and much more.
Ohio State vs. Nebraska
The Ohio State Buckeyes will face the Nebraska Cornhuskers for its homecoming game. Parking lots open at 5 a.m., gates open at 10 a.m. and kick-off is set for noon. The game theme is 'Scarlett the Shoe.'
Highball Halloween
The nation's most elaborate costume party returns to celebrate the 'art of costume and vibrancy of Columbus.' This year, Highball Halloween will be free to the general public. Hosts Nina West and NBC4's Matt Barnes and Monica Day will take the stage this year leading the crowd through the evening.
Little Big Town and Sugarland: Take Me Home Tour
Country music groups Little Big Town and Sugarland visit Columbus as part of their U.S. tour. Doors scheduled to open at 6 p.m.
Columbus police/fire Trunk or Treat
Members of The Columbus Division of Police and the Columbus Division of Fire will be handing out candy from their vehicles to trick-or-treaters.
