A food bank run in aid of a local charity is being organised by the Saundersfoot Runners next week.
Sunday, February 23 is the date of the run, jog or walk from Wisemans Bridge Inn in support of the James Criddle Foundation.
Entry is free and open to everyone - with the condition that each participant brings along a bag of provisions for the foodbank.
Food Bank Runs have been taking place throughout the UK since 2023, when Saundersfoot Runners started organising their own runs in support of the James Criddle Foundation, which runs a food bank out of Tenby AFC clubhouse in The Clicketts, Tenby.
'The Food Bank Run has been a huge support to the Foundation,' said Rachael Criddle, one of the founders. 'We are grateful to everyone who takes part, to Saundersfoot Runners for organising such an uplifting and positive event and to Wiseman's Bridge Inn who generously allow us to use their premises.'
Food items that are needed include dried food such as pasta and rice; tinned goods such as beans, soup, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables; tinned pies and sausages; jars or packs of cook-in sauces and toiletries such as toothpaste, shampoo and shower gel.
A full list will be on the Saundersfoot Runners Events page
The run starts at 10am and will be no longer than an hour.
The route is traffic free so is safe for all ages – and for dogs (who must be on leads). Hot drinks will be available to purchase at the Inn afterwards.

Bills Given Top Credit For QB-HC Duo

Bills Given Top Credit For QB-HC Duo originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Buffalo Bills have had one of the best quarterback and head coaching duos in the NFL over the last several seasons now. It's unclear exactly how good one of their duo is, though. Advertisement As important as head coach Sean McDermott has been to the success of the Bills in recent seasons, he has also kept them from attaining their ultimate goal: a Super Bowl. In many ways, league MVP Josh Allen has carried the Bills and their head coach in recent years. Buffalo hasn't been good enough to knock off some of the top contenders in the league, but have a quarterback who has been able to keep games close. It's why NFL reporter Matt Verderame ranked Buffalo's duo fifth overall, but with Allen as the No. 2 quarterback and McDermott as the No. 15 coach. 'The Bills have the reigning MVP at quarterback and a coach who, for his conservative flaws, has guided Buffalo to five consecutive AFC East titles," Verderame said. "Buffalo is a Super Bowl contender led by Allen, who last year reached his second AFC title game last year, amassing 4,262 total yards and 40 touchdowns. Advertisement "The offense should be high-powered once more despite not having a great receiver, while McDermott's defense is the big question mark.' This is going to be a big year for McDermott. He needs to prove he can get his defense to play at a high level and help his otherworldly quarterback. If not, there's good reason to suspect that the Bills may have to move on from their successful head coach. Cincinnati Bearcats football non-conference kickoff times announced

University of Cincinnati Bearcats football fans now have kickoff times for the two non-conference games scheduled at Nippert Stadium in September. The Saturday, Sept. 6 game vs. Bowling Green State and the Saturday, Sept. 13 game vs. Northwestern State will both be at 3:30 p.m. Both games will be televised on ESPN+. Advertisement The Bearcats haven't played Bowling Green since Rick Minter's first coach year in 1994. The Falcons shut out UC 38-0 that night. Northwestern State last visited Nippert in Tommy Tuberville's first season in 2013 with UC prevailing 66-9. Fans hoping for a "Nipp at Night" experience will have to wait to see how the Big 12 season shakes out in terms of TV coverage. Last season, UC's only Nippert Stadium night game was the season finale 20-13 loss in the snow to TCU. Cincinnati Bearcats mascot leads the student section in a cheer in the second quarter of the game between UC and the Pittsburgh Panthers at Nippert Stadium last Sept. 7. UC's non-conference home kickoff times for 2025 were announced May 29. UC football season starts in Kansas City Before the Bearcats return to Nippert Stadium, they'll be at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium against Nebraska at 9 p.m. (Eastern) on ESPN. It will be a Thursday night primetime showdown between the Big 12 and Big 10. Military planes flyover as fireworks are fired before the first quarter during the AFC championship NFL football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs, Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. UC is technically the home team in Kansas City even though Nebraska is considerably closer and will likely scoop up tickets. Either way, the Bearcats are slated to receive 75% of ticket sales with capacity at Arrowhead being 76, 416. Advertisement The game was brokered by an Arrowhead group who persuaded UC to move the game from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, paying the buyout fee. UC Chief Financial Officer and Senior Associate Athletic Director John Daniel said last fall the move allowed UC Athletics to essentially double their money with the financial move. And, UC will stay have seven home football games.
