in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, is now gearing up for a new role in real life: motherhood. The actress, who married entrepreneur Pranav Bagga in November, is expecting her first child later this year.
Opening up about this new chapter, Malvika shares, 'It's such a mix of emotions — excitement, nervousness, and everything in between. But I think that's quite normal for a first-time mom. It's a big change, and I'm trying to take it one day at a time.'
She admits the reality of becoming a mom hasn't fully sunk in yet. She says, 'Honestly, it still feels surreal. But the thought of meeting our little one keeps me going. I plan to take some time off initially to make sure everything goes smoothly and to fully soak in those special first moments.
Those moments are priceless and irreplaceable. But once I find a rhythm and things settle, I definitely want to get back to work.
My career is equally important to me, and I look forward to returning with fresh energy and perspective.'
To stay centered and support her overall well-being, Malvika has embraced a wellness-focused routine. 'I've been practising yoga three to four times a week, and it's been such a blessing,' she says, adding, 'It's not just about preparing for delivery; yoga has helped ease aches and pains, uplift my mood, and significantly improved my sleep. Thanks to the serotonin boost, I feel much more balanced. It's become an essential part of my routine, and I'd love to continue it even after the baby arrives.
'
She concludes, 'I've also become very mindful of what I eat and how I rest — just listening to my body and giving it what it needs during this special phase.'
