Google apparently changes Pixel 10 launch date
Yesterday a rumor surfaced saying Google would unveil the Pixel 10 family of smartphones on August 13, which incidentally is exactly the same date on which the Pixel 9 devices were announced last year.
Today there's a plot twist. Apparently, Google has changed its mind and decided to move the launch event to August 20, which is also when it will start taking pre-orders for the phones (presumably right after the event ends). Google Pixel 10 Pro XL leaked render
Then, the Pixel 10 series is rumored to start shipping on August 28, which is also the date of in-store availability. That is, of course, if this rumor turns out to be more accurate than the one from yesterday.
Either way, the Pixel 10 handsets are expected to feature the company's Tensor G5 chipset, the first one that will be made by TSMC and not Samsung, and that change will hopefully bring with it a massive performance and efficiency bump compared to its predecessors.

The four-week event is designed for members of Google Play's Points program, giving them access to in-game perks, exclusive virtual items, and even real-world launch builds on Google's ongoing efforts to make Google Play a more competitive destination for gamers. Over the past year, the company has improved cross-device gameplay between Android and PC and added new ways to earn and redeem Play Points. "The Diamond District" continues that momentum, bringing Play Points into one of the most popular gaming platforms today. Inside the experience, players can explore a virtual obstacle course known as an "obby," where they collect gems, complete weekly challenges, and unlock new content over time. Each week will introduce new features, offering regular updates to keep players engaged. Play Points members will have access to special areas in the game. To access these perks, players must link their Google Play account with Play Points members, regardless of tier, can collect tokens and redeem them for in-game items or real-world merchandise. Rewards include limited-edition pins, a Diamond District-themed controller, and a mini skateboard deck. Google Play says it is the first brand to offer these kinds of perks within Roblox for loyalty program company is also expanding Play Points benefits beyond Roblox. In the US, members will soon be able to claim exclusive merchandise from brands like 100 Thieves and receive more rewards from select apps and games listed in the program's "Use" tab. This move marks another step in Google's broader push to grow its presence in gaming. While the Play Store is still primarily known for mobile apps, Google has been investing in tools and partnerships to attract more gamers, developers, and content creators to its ecosystem. By offering a mix of digital and physical rewards, the Diamond District aims to keep players returning week after week. It also gives Play Points members more reasons to stay active within the Google Play environment. It's a notable shift in strategy, and it will be interesting to see how users respond as the experience continues through early July.

Motorola Razr 2025/Razr 60 in for review
Say hello to the Motorola Razr 2025, the "entry-level" folding phone from Moto for the North American market that is known as Motorola Razr 60 elsewhere. But there's nothing entry-level about the way this one looks and feels. Shipping in four unique PANTONE colors with different finishes, the Razr 2025 costs $700 and is available in a single 8/256GB configuration. The box includes a USB cable. You get a choice of the PANTONE Gibraltar Sea with a nylon finish on the back, PANTONE Spring Bud and Parfait Pink with a leather finish, and our Lightest Sky, which has an acetate finish. It's a unique-feeling finish and has a bright, pearl-esque color that matches it nicely. A sort of pearlescent finish on the back Paired with the soft, rounded edges, the Razr 2025 is very pleasant in the hand and stands out, even in this least impressive color we have. For some time now, Motorola has understood that a phone is more than specs and features. Moto phones are among the prettiest around, especially in their clamshell folding lineup. Given that Motorola truly made the form factor fashionable back in the day, it's no surprise the company is leading the same revolution these days, too. On a similar note, the Razr 2025 is IP48 rated for some dust protection and full water protection. Motorola Razr 2025 Looks aside, the Razr 2025 is more than well-specced for its price. It has a 3.6-inch 90Hz cover AMOLED screen, a 4nm Dimensity 7400X SoC, and a dual camera system with a 50MP 25mm f/1.7 wide angle camera, and a 13MP ultrawide. There's also a 32MP selfie on the inside. Speaking of, the folding display is a plentiful 6.9-inch 120Hz LTPO panel. The phone feels snappy and responsive. It ships with Android 15 under Motorola's very stock Android experience. Capping things off, there's a 4,500mAh battery with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging. That's around 200mAh less than the Razr 60 Ultra, but that phone tips the scales at 199g, whereas this Razr is a more manageable 188g.

Ahead of WWDC 2025, Apple has released a new report highlighting the growing economic reach of its App Store. According to the company, the App Store supported $1.3 trillion in billings and sales globally in 2024. The data comes from a study conducted by Analysis Group and funded by Apple The breakdown includes $131 billion in digital goods and services, over $1 trillion in physical goods and services, and $150 billion from in-app advertising. Apple says more than 90 percent of these transactions didn't involve any commission paid to the company, which it claims underscores the App Store's value to report arrives just days before Apple is expected to outline its artificial intelligence strategy at WWDC. That timing may not be accidental. A recent report suggests that Apple plans to rely more heavily on its developer community to create new AI-driven apps and services, especially as it works to catch up with tech rivals like Google and Microsoft.
