In an official statement, the club said: 'Remaining works include the completion of the new third tier, the dual VIP ring, the roof installation, and the final touches to various interior spaces, as well as the urban development of the stadium's surrounding area."
The Joan Gamper Trophy serves as a curtain-raiser ahead of the new La Liga season, and this year it marks an emotional return to the club's spiritual home.

The work has cost Barcelona £1.25billion since it started, but the returns are expected to make up for the expenses over time, with the ground anticipated to earn the club an extra £25million revenue per year. Ever since leaving Nou Camp, Barcelona have been playing their home games at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium located nearby.
