Pokémon Ditto Cup uses Transform to turn into jiggly gelatin, rice, sand, and infinite possibilities
If you can't beat 'em, Ditto 'em.
Lifestyle design company H Concept's original brand +d ('plus D') has released possibly our favorite new toy ever in the form of the Metamon Cup, with Metamon being the Pokémon Ditto's original Japanese name. Just like how the pink Pokémon can use its signature attack Transform to morph into anything it wants (with only minor occasional glitches), this cup serves as a mold for you to turn your food and outdoor elements like sand or snow into a Ditto shape!
▼ Gelatin is a particularly perfect usage of the mold since it wobbles just like the Pokémon would.
Even better, why stop at one when you can make your own jiggle (our best guess as to the collective noun for pink blobs) of them?!

At approximately 100 x 71 x 66 millimeters (3.9 x 2.8 x 2.6 inches), the mold's volume is approximately 160 milliliters (5.4 fluid ounces) or 170 grams (6 ounces), equal to about one serving size of rice. It's also heat and cold resistant, can withstand temperatures between 150 through -20 degrees Celsius (302 through -4 degrees Fahrenheit), and is dishwasher and microwave-safe to boot.

The cup comes in three different colors of clear, clear purple, and opaque purple to choose from based on your mood.
The clear cup is particularly well-suited for making fun, colorful creations inside of it using fruit and other ingredients.
You can also use the cup's packaging box to safely store it upside down while you're waiting for a concoction like gelatin or pudding to solidify.
The Metamon Cup went on sale at H Concept's Koncept physical store locations and online store on May 10 and will join the merchandise at Pokémon Center stores on May 24. A single cup is 2,200 yen (US$15), or a set of all three colors provides a slight individual discount at 5,500 yen.
If cats are more of your thing, though, never fear, because Japan still offers the perfect mold for you.

On one hand, it's a quick, cheap, and easy-to-make hot meal, but on the other, it's something that a lot of people genuinely like the flavor of, enough so that instant ramen fans, somewhat paradoxically, often look for ways to do a little something extra to spruce up their bowls of noodles. One of the most popular instant ramen upgrades, called shirotama, is to add a raw egg to cook at the same time as the noodles, and if done properly, the results aren't just delicious, but beautiful too. However, achieving the sort of perfectly prepared egg seen above can be tricky. You want the egg white to get cooked enough that it solidifies, but keep the yolk nice and soft so that when you break it up with your chopsticks, it'll blend with the broth. Ordinarily, in order to do this you have to be very careful with how you position the uncooked egg in the bowl, and how you pour on the boiling water. But now, Nissin, the makers of Cup Noodle and Chicken Ramen, have created a kitchen gadget that ensures a perfectly cooked egg every time. Modeled after the Chicken Ramen mascot character, the Shirotama Maker is about the size of a compact rice cooker. Internally, it's composed of three parts: the Horizontal Noodle Port, the Omnidirectional Heat Drip Shower, and the Ultimate Convectional Lo-Tech Totemo e-Desu yo Steam Manbennaku Thermal Lid (or Ultimate Convectional Lo-Tech Very Good Even-steaming Thermal Lid). In less grandiose terms, this means that the Shirotama Maker's base is sized to keep a disc of pre-cooked Chicken Ramen securely in place. Crack an egg into the pre-made divot in the noodles, place the interior lid on top of them, and when you pour boiling water into the opening at its top, it'll get funneled in a showerhead-like pattern so that it directly hits the noodles and egg white to cook them, but avoids the yolk. Putting the top lid on seals in all of the heat, so that everything gets nicely and evenly steamed. The whole cooking process takes only the instant-ramen standard three minutes, and the egg comes out mouthwatering every time, as Nissin's repeated demonstrations show. As an added bonus, you can even eat right out of the Shirotama Maker, since the base of it is, in essence, a bowl, and you've now filled it with ramen and egg. Nissin hasn't announced any plans to sell the Shirotama Maker in stores, but this isn't just some in-house promotional stunt. The company is giving away 1,000 Shirotama Makers to Chicken Ramen fans who purchase a pack of Chicken Ramen and submit a photo of their receipt. Those 1,000 Shirotama Makers are being split up into two batches of 500, with winners to be randomly selected from those who submit their receipts between now and July 31 for group 1, and between August 1 and September 31 for group 2. One Piece Lego sets both are and aren't the first-ever Lego anime collaboration【Photos】
Five kits take their inspiration from One Piece, but not from the anime or manga. Lego has done collaborations with plenty of popular franchises, and the building block toys are popular in Japan. Oddly enough, though, there's never been an official anime Lego set, and that hasn't technically changed even though Lego has just revealed a collaboration with One Piece. But wait, hasn't One Piece been one of the most phenomenally popular anime/manga franchises for the past three decades? Yes it has, but these sets are specifically meant to be Lego recreations of the live-action Netflix One Piece, basing their designs off the appearances of the characters and sets seen in the streaming series. Of course, with the Netflix One Piece taking its visual cues from the anime/manga, these sets are sure to appeal to fans of the source material too. The lineup has five sets, including, of course, the Going Merry Pirate Ship, a 1,376-piece kit for builders aged 10 and up. ▼ The interior is full of details too, like Sanji's kitchen. The biggest and most elaborate kit, though, is the Baratie Floating Restaurant. With 3,402 pieces that come together to form an eatery 54 centimeters (21.5 inches) wide and 35 centimeters tall, this is a kit you'll want to set aside plenty of both time and space for. In addition, it's part of Lego's Sets for Adults category, implying an extra degree of complexity that might frustrate little kids, but should delight grown-up kids-at-heart. The most action-packed kit is the Battle at Arlong Park (926 pieces, ages 9 and up) That's because in addition to being bundled with a figure of Luffy throwing a Gum-Gum Pistol punch… …the tower is designed with a feature that lets it burst apart as Luffy smashes through it! Rounding out the line are two modestly sized sets, the 573-piece Buggy the Clown's Circus Tent and 299-piece Windmill Village, both recommended for builders 8 and up. Pokémon Cafe's new Mega Charizard curry plate is a work of art in more ways than one
Pokémon Cafes in Tokyo and Osaka welcome Mega Evolutions back as main dishes, desserts, and drinks in the buildup to Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The next major Pokémon video game release on the horizon, Pokémon Legends: Z-A , is bringing back the Mega Evolution gameplay mechanic, which was first seen in Z-A's predecessor, Pokémon X and Y . But while Z-A isn't coming out until October, Mega Evolution Pokémon will be showing up in just a few weeks' time at Japan's Pokémon Cafe. The themed restaurants in Tokyo and Osaka will be adding a Mega Evolution Charizard Flamethrower Curry Plate to the menu, which is both a fiery meal and, in multiple ways, a work of art. The first artistic medium is the food itself, with Charizard sculpted out of seasoned rice and breathing a blast of curry, bringing to mind the Pokémon's Flamethrower attack. Each plate also comes with either a Charizardite X or Charizardite Y Mega Stone, which can be seen at the top right corner of the dish in these preview shots. You will, of course, want to whip out your phone and take some photos of your food before you start eating, and while you've got it out, you'll also want to scan the code on the back of the Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y card your server will bring you. Once you've done that, swing your camera's lens back towards your plate of Charizard curry, and some cool AR effects will fire up, the cafe mysteriously promises. For those looking for a more serene way to include Mega Evolution elements in their meal, the Pokémon Cafe chefs will also be whipping up a Mega Ampharos Sparkling Caramel Cream Cake. The dessert is sort of like a Japanese purin/custard pudding in cake form, with layers of custard cream, sponge cake, caramel sauce, and whipped cream, plus a sparkly motif befitting the Light Pokémon. Eight Mega Evolutions are also being added to the Pokémon Cafe's latte art roster, with both Mega Charizards and the Mega Ampharos joined by Mega versions of Kangaskhan, Ampharos, Gardevoir, Altaria, Lucario, and Absol. All of these are available to grace caffe lattes, caffe mochas, and hot caramel drinks. What's especially cool is that while latte art is random at most themed cafes in Japan, the Pokémon Cafe lets you pick which Mega Evolution you want. ▼ The Mega Evolutions also appear on coasters (one given at random for each drink order) and dual-layer stickers (one at random for every set of entree and dessert). The lattes are priced at 935 yen (US$6.45), the Mega Ampharos cake at 2,640 yen, and the Charizard curry at 3,640 yen. They'll all be available starting June 14 at both the Tokyo and Osaka Pokémon Cafes, reservations for which can be made here.
