Tecno Pova Curve 5G is official - 7.5mm slim, 5,500mAh battery, AI for days
It's official - the Tecno Pova Curve 5G is here and it's India's slimmest (7.5mm) curved phone with a 5,500mAh battery! The curvature? It's 55°, which Tecno says makes the in-hand feel futuristic.
The Tecno Pova Curve comes in three colors - Magic Silver, Neon Cyan, and Geek Black. Unlike Povas of old, we don't see any light-up LEDs on the back, sadly.
Upfront sits a 6.78-inch 1080p AMOLED with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1,300 nits of peak brightness. Tecno has achieved a 93.8% screen-to-body ratio.
Inside ticks a 4nm Dimensity 7300 Ultimate, paired with either 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB storage.
The battery is 5,500mAh, as we said, and it takes 45W wired charging. Tecno says its pack has TÜV Rheinland Long Range Certification for over 1,800 charging cycles. The phone claims 50% in just 15 minutes and 100% in 45 minutes.
Camera-wise, the Pova Curve 5G has a 64MP 1/1.73-inch Sony IMX682 wide-angle camera (and a 2MP depth sensor).
A final word on the hardware - Tecno has focused on the connectivity of the Pova Curve, ensuring a strong signal, wherever you may find yourself. The Pova Curve 5G has a solid all-around 86.5% antenna coverage, VoWiFi Dual Pass, and real-time signal optimization.

Tecno has equipped the Pova Curve 5G with Ella AI and claims it's the segment's first AI with Indian language support. Users get AI Voiceprint Suppression - aka voice calls noise reduction - AI Auto Call Answering, AI Call Assistant with live translations and post-call summaries (including WhatsApp calls), and No Network Communication for connectivity in low or no signal areas (Tecno hasn't clarified how this works).
The Tecno Pova Curve is going on sale at noon on June 5. The 6/128 GB variant is exclusive to Flipkart and is priced at INR 15,999. The 8/128 GB unit is INR 16,999 and on sale through offline retail stores. Pre-orders will get a chance to win a Royal Enfield motorcycle, a scooter, a free screen replacement, an extended warranty, and vouchers. Offline buyers will get No Cost EMI for up to 10 months for as low as INR 57 per day on EMI.

The triple camera on the back includes a 50MP main, a 50MP 2x telephoto and an unremarkable 8MP ultra-wide. The phone is rated IP69. It comes with Android 15 out of the box and will receive 4 OS updates and two extra years of security patches. The Realme GT 7T is €100 less, but you give up quite a bit. Not the IP69 rating and not the 7,000mAh battery either (complete with 120W charging and battery bypass). That said, the 6.8' display is a non-LTPO panel (it still reaches 6,000 nits peak, though). Also, the chipset is knocked down to a Dimensity 8400 Max – quite fast, but doesn't challenge flagship chips the way that the 9400e does. The 50MP 2x camera is gone too. Their predecessors are still around – the Realme GT 6 gets you that LTPO panel that the 7T doesn't and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 holds up decently against the Dimensity 8400. This model also has a 50MP main, 50MP 2x tele and 8MP ultra-wide. The battery is smaller – not that 5,500mAh is small (charging is the same at 120W). And the water resistance is only IP64. iPhone 17 to be an underwhelming upgrade
Vlad, 31 May 2025 A few hours ago a rumor claimed the iPhone 17 would grow its screen size to 6.3" (from 6.1" in the iPhone 16), matching the Pro model. With this rather significant upgrade in tow, you may have expected the phone to come with other substantial upgrades in other areas as well. But apparently not. According to a new research note by GF Securities analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 17 will be powered by the A18 chip, and will have 8GB of RAM. Those are not typos - that's the exact same chipset and RAM amount that its predecessor has. iPhone 16 So, in this regard, the iPhone 17 will just be an ever so slightly larger iPhone 16. This is despite the fact that all three other members of its family will get the A19 chip as well as 12GB of RAM. The iPhone 17 was at one point said to be considered for a memory upgrade, but that was apparently decided against after all. As for the chip staying the same as in the iPhone 16, that's a more baffling decision that clearly won't make it a best-seller. But maybe that's the point - Apple trying to nudge people towards the more expensive and more profitable Air, Pro, and Pro Max models. Verizon establishes dominance in data usage during big US event
Verizon seems to be one of the main carriers involved in some of the biggest sports events in the United States. The network operator signed multiple partnerships with NFL, IndyCar and other similar sports organizations in the past. Besides that, Verizon's network covers some of the most important sports events in the this regard, the 2025 Indianapolis 500 race represents a big milestone for Verizon when it comes to data usage and connection. The carrier announced that in just one day, inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, a total of 172 terabytes (TB) of data was used on the Verizon network. Why is this important? Because it's more than it's been seen on Verizon 's network at this race and one of the highest data usage events the carrier has ever recorded.
