King and Queen's portrait graces Tatler cover after much-criticised Kate picture
Former royal tour artist Phillip Butah, who was personally selected by Charles to join him on his state visit to Kenya in 2023, based his work on a photograph of the couple taken by Millie Pilkington last year.
But the artwork has already come under scrutiny on social media with one person remarking: 'Doesn't look like Charles' and another suggesting the King's eyes were more similar to those of former US president Joe Biden.
'Queen Camilla looks brilliant – but the eyes on the king look like Biden .. it is not a good resemblance of King Charles,' they said.
It follows the widely criticised portrait of the Princess of Wales which appeared as Tatler's front cover last year.
The canvas by artist Hannah Uzor was branded 'dreadful' and a 'parody' by royal fans and art critics.

Butah said he believed it was a royal first for the royal couple to be painted together for a magazine cover.
The image, in the society bible's June edition, celebrates the King and Queen's 20th wedding anniversary, which they marked this month.
Butah said: 'I think it is wonderful and I love the fact that a top glossy magazine commissions an artist to make a cover, because art and fashion do belong together.'
He added: 'I have chosen a summery green for the background because they are walking together in a garden, and this is an informal portrait, not a state portrait.
'I think it will be a first; I have never seen the royal couple painted together on the cover of a magazine, and I just want people to enjoy it and see it as a celebration of our King and Queen.'
Butah said of joining Charles and Camilla on their official visit to Kenya: 'They are one of the most famous couples of our time, so it was fascinating for me to see the personal side of their relationship.
'It is so strong and they are a great team.'
The artist first met Charles at the age of 16 when he won the Young Artists' Britain: The Prince of Wales's Young Artists' Award competition in 1998.
Celebrities he has drawn include actor Ashley Walters and former Olympic sprinter Linford Christie.

King Charles once revealed the poignant and emotional last conversation he had with his father Prince Philip just hours before he died. Philip, who was born on this day in 1921, passed away in 2021 at the age of 99, seeing out his final peaceful days surrounded by his family in Windsor Castle. In a BBC documentary film celebrating the life of the late royal, King Charles reminisced on the last conversation he had with his father the day before he died, highlighting his quick wit and cheeky sense of humour. During the intimate interview, Charles recalled how he gently broached the subject of Philip's upcoming 100th birthday and suggested a party, knowing it was something his dad was not that excited about. Knowing his elderly father was hard of hearing, he clarified what he was talking about as he spoke loudly to Prince Philip, emphasising: 'We're talking about your birthday! And whether there's going to be a reception!' To which Charles said Philip replied sharply, without missing a beat: "Well, I've got to be alive for it, haven't I?" Charles then said: "I told him 'I knew you'd say that!'" Despite Philip's morbid sense of humour and candid comments about his morality, King Charles said the conversation made for an unforgettable and happy memory with his dad. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl and her 2022 book, The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth's Legacy and the Future of the Crown, the father and son shared another touching moment before his death in April 2021. Nicholl said that it was during one of their last visits together that Philip made a special request of the heir, as she wrote: "Charles got time with his father as well and Philip told him, 'Whatever you do, promise me you will take care of your mother.' Charles was very emotional.'" Following Philip's death, then-Prince Charles paid a loving tribute to his father, telling reporters outside his Gloucestershire estate of Highgrove: "As you can imagine, my family and I miss my father enormously." He described his father as "a much-loved and appreciated figure and apart from anything else, I can imagine, he would be so deeply touched by the number of other people here and elsewhere around the world and the Commonwealth, who also, I think, share our loss and our sorrow". He said: "My dear papa was a very special person who I think above all else would have been amazed by the reaction and the touching things that have been said about him and from that point of view we are, my family, deeply grateful for all that. It will sustain us in this particular loss and at this particularly sad time." In the days after his death, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, also spoke to parishioners outside a church service, making her own comments about the death of Prince Philip, while assuring the congregation that the royal passed away peacefully. She told the members of the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor: 'It was right for him. It was so gentle. It was just like somebody took him by the hand and off he went. Very, very peaceful and that's all you want for somebody isn't it? So, I think it's so much easier for the person that goes than the people that are left behind.' Today marks what would've been Prince Philip's 104th birthday, with the royal born on June 10th 1921 in Corfu, Greece. In February 1947, Philip took his mother's maiden name of Mountbatten while renouncing his rights to the Greek and Danish throne. Meet Love Island's Shakira Khan: 'I Could Argue With A Brick Wall'
It's official, Love Island is finally back on our screens! After months of waiting, last night we were finally treated to a new batch of singletons who have entered the villa in the search for the love of their life. And with host Maya Jama already dropping the shock news that a departure was already imminent, we can't wait to see what other twists and turns are in store for this year's islanders. This year, the line-up was kept pretty under wraps, but that didn't stop the internet speculating who we could see join the cast. This included former fire-breather Sophie Lee, personal trainer Aaron Buckett and Lucy Quinn (who is rumoured to be joining the villa as a bombshell - watch this space). As the action got underway in the villa, there's one contestant who is looking likely to make an impact. Shakira Khan has already warned viewers about her fiery personality, and is already stirring things up in the villa. Shakira Khan is a contestant on series 12 of Love Island. She works in marketing, but like many of the contestants she already leads a pretty glamorous lifestyle. She's from Manchester, but her Instagram page shows plenty of trips to exotic locations, including Dubai, Turkey, Haiti and Mexico. Shakira has admitted she is 'so stubborn' and good at 'winning arguments' - meaning she could be ready to bring drama in the villa. 'I could argue with a brick wall. If arguing was an Olympic sport, I'd have gold medal, and I will just argue in the face I'm even if I'm wrong, I will argue in your face just until, until I have no breath left. I'm stubborn.' She added that she's 'not the one to start the argument' but is willing to 'finish it,' continuing 'I won't go hunting for the drama but if someone wants to pick a fight with me, girls or not, then they're gonna get a response.' Shakira is 22-years-old, making her one of the youngest contestants in the villa this year. Fellow cast member Tommy Bradley is also the same age as her. Shakira has been open about the fact she is looking for something long-term and serious. She said she wants 'someone who is tall, charming, witty, with big arms, a good smile and just really funny.' However, she hasn't had much luck on the outside world. She describes her love life as 'booming', but adds 'they're all frogs.' She said: 'It's a busy love life but I've not found 'the husband'. I'm looking for 'the one'. I'm looking for the ring.' When talking about her biggest turn off, Shakira admitted: 'Bag hygiene, like bad breath. I can't deal with it. Garlic breath or onion breath on a date is a big no-no.' Shakira has revealed she bumped into many of the former islanders while out partying. 'So I'm a bit of a Manchester gal on a night out, and I definitely like to be in the VIP area sometimes,' she said. 'I've run into the likes of Callum Jones, Jess White, Tom Clare, Casey, Adam from season two. So definitely a few islanders bopping about in Manny.' As for which former Love Island star takes her fancy? 'If Callum Jones was single, I would have give that a little try I think,' she revealed. Sir Sadiq Khan and King banter over being workaholics during ceremony
Sir Sadiq Khan has said that he and the King discussed which of them is "a bigger workaholic" as he received a knighthood for political and public service. The politician, who is the first London mayor to win a third term, was knighted by Charles in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Speaking to the PA news agency, the 54-year-old said: "I have got the pleasure of working closely with the King. 'We were just comparing who's a bigger workaholic. He was very chuffed that he managed to personally give me this honour and he actually apologised for it taking so long – which is not a problem at all." Sir Sadiq, a second-generation immigrant, said he was delighted to receive a knighthood with his family in attendance. He remarked: 'My mum's here, and she's been emotional since it was announced on January 1, and today's just a great day for the family. 'Obviously, from my background, being the son of immigrants, my parents coming here from Pakistan, it's a big deal for us.' Asked what he is proudest of in his time as the Mayor of London, Sir Sadiq said free school meals for primary school children, 'cleaning the air and investing in affordable housing'. 'What I'm really proud of is the chance to work with Londoners, like His Majesty.' Sir Loyd Grossman, who was knighted at the same ceremony, said London is 'the greatest city in the world '. The 74-year-old broadcaster and author, known widely for his range of cooking sauces, was awarded a knighthood for services to heritage, having led the transition of The Royal Parks, as chairman, from a government agency through to its establishment as an independent charity. Born in Massachusetts in the US, Sir Loyd came to England in his mid-20s. 'I've always felt that our heritage is so important to us, because not only is it beautiful, it's also inspiring,' Sir Loyd said. 'It helps us realise what it's like to be citizens together. 'It's one of the things that we do better in this country than anywhere in the world. 'People all over the world, when you ask them about London: what is it that's so great about London – which is the greatest city in the world – almost always they say your parks.' He said The Royal Parks were a lifeline for Londoners in lockdown, but that he 'couldn't possibly say' which is his favourite. 'The first one I ever went to, when I came here as a student, was Kensington Gardens, so I have a particularly strong affinity for Kensington Gardens but I just love all of them.' Dame Emily Thornberry, who has been Labour MP for Islington South and Finsbury since 2005, was formally made a dame at Buckingham Palace. The chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, 64, said she does not usually get nervous but was 'fizzy with nerves' after receiving the honour. Dame Emily, who was honoured for political and public service, wore brooches belonging to her mother and grandmother in her hat at the ceremony. 'My grandmother used to work for Lloyds Bank and she wasn't allowed to work after she got married. If she knew that I'd become a dame, she wouldn't believe it,' the former shadow foreign secretary said. 'Neither would my mum.'
