Jenin: Israeli military assault continues for the 22nd day with over 22,000 displaced people
Ammon News - The Israeli occupation continues the aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp for the twenty-second consecutive day, which has so far killed 25 Palestinians and left dozens of injuries, and massive destruction of infrastructure and property.
At dawn today, the occupation forces stormed the eastern neighborhood of the city of Jenin, accompanied by military bulldozers that began destroying the infrastructure and streets, citizens' vehicles and property, and the occupation soldiers deployed their snipers in high buildings and on the roofs of houses.
The assistant governor of Jenin, Mansour al-Saadi, said that the occupation forces caused massive destruction in the Jenin camp and forcibly displaced more than 20,000 people.
The director of the Chamber of Commerce, Mohammad Kamil, told WAFA that the city's market is completely closed, noting that the city has seen closures that exceeded 25 days since the beginning of this year, and that the occupation forces deliberately destroyed the infrastructure and the city's economy.
He added that the repeated raids by the occupation on the city of Jenin led to a decline in purchasing power, difficulty in transporting and distributing goods, with difficulty of shop owners arriving to their shops, which affected all economic sectors within the city and its countryside, which amounted to about 1,400 shops.
According to the mayor of Jenin, Mohammad Jarar, the city has incurred economic losses exceeding $2 billion in infrastructure, buildings and shops, during the past three years, after being subjected to 104 continuous raids.
He pointed out that this aggression and the forced displacement is "the worst ever", and coincides with difficult economic conditions, and that what is happening in Jenin is a disaster on all levels, especially with the displacement of 15,000 civilians in a small city like Jenin accompanied by very difficult economic conditions.
For the 22nd consecutive day, the occupation continues to demolish and burn citizens' homes in the camp, amidst intensive flying of drones.
The occupation forces also destroyed the street leading to the purification station in Jenin and parts of it, while it continues to send military reinforcements accompanied by bulldozers to the city of Jenin and the surroundings of the camp.
Israeli mechanisms continue to besiege Jenin Governmental Hospital after bulldozing its entrance and the main street leading to it.
For the twenty-first consecutive day, the hospital's departments suffer from a severe shortage of potable water, while the necessary hospital departments are operating at their minimum capacity due to the Israeli aggression.

US considers $500 million for controversial Gaza aid foundation: Sources
The US State Department is weighing a proposal to allocate USD 500 million to the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), according to two informed sources and two former US officials familiar with the discussions cited by Reuters. The funding would come through the US Agency for International Development (USAID), which is currently being integrated into the State Department, the sources said. All four individuals spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter. If approved, the move would significantly deepen US involvement in a controversial aid operation that has faced criticism over its ability to operate effectively and safely in Gaza, according to Reuters. The proposal has sparked pushback from some within the US government, with concerns focused on the GHF's alleged lack of neutrality and recent incidents of violence near aid distribution points, including fatal shootings of Palestinians, according to the sources. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began its first aid deliveries last week, following an 11-week 'Israeli' blockade that was partially lifted on May 19. The United Nations and other humanitarian organizations have warned that most of Gaza's 2.3 million residents remain at risk of famine. Some international relief agencies have publicly criticized the GHF, accusing it of bypassing established humanitarian norms and lacking transparency in its operations.

'Israeli' forces raid Al Jazeera office in Ramallah, renew 60-day closure order
Israeli Occupation Forces raided Al Jazeera's office in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Friday and renewed its closure for another 60 days, according to Al Jazeera. This marks the latest escalation in a series of measures aimed at silencing the Qatari-based network's coverage in the occupied Palestinian territories. The renewed closure comes after a similar 60-day extension in April. The office was first shut down in September 2023 under a military order, during which 'Israeli' forces stormed the premises, confiscated all equipment and documents, and banned staff from using their vehicles. In May 2024, the 'Israeli' government formally approved a proposal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi to shut down Al Jazeera's offices inside 'Israel'. The decision was implemented immediately under what was dubbed the 'Al Jazeera Law,' allowing 'Israeli' authorities to block the network's broadcasts and operations within the country.
