Flustered Cane Corso Dad Trying to Get Away from His 'Kids' Is So Relatable
If you have kids, you'll totally be able to relate to Sangre, a huge Cane Corso, who is trying to get a drink of water, but is surrounded by his children and grandchildren who want all of his attention. You can tell how flustered he is by the adorable tiny pack of dogs who won't leave him alone!
Black Guardianz, a Cane Corso breeder, posted a video of Sangre who went in for a drink of water but was quickly surrounded. He tries ignoring, walking away, and dodging the puppies. And it's a lot of puppies to try to get away from!
Okay, but can we talk about how cute those Cane Corso puppies are? I'd love to be surrounded by a gaggle of those adorable pups, but I could almost see Sangre rolling his eyes, begging his brood to give him some space! I remember those days when my teenagers were toddlers, and while I probably didn't enjoy them all that much then, I sure do miss those days now!Viewers of the video must all be parents because, like me, they could relate to the scene. @fcwmanu pointed out, "Mom hollering in the back..." Another commenter said what Sangre was probably thinking, "'Damn let me get some water' LOL!" @Cookie and Khali shared, "The dad needs a day off haha!" And I couldn't agree more with @Debbie who said, "That's whole lot of cuteness!!!"
Commenter @jessicalynn0413 laughed, "I guess they all tend to react this way to the puppies. Lol." Sangre's dad replied, "He plays with them. I just don't get it on camera too often." @Jessica said, "I'm sure. It's just funny how when too many of the babies come at once, the parents jet. Lol." and Sangre's dad responded, "He's a diva he don't want to step on them!" He's a good dad, just a flustered one!
It's clear from this video that furry parents get as annoyed with their kids just as much as us humans do sometimes. I guess some things in our world and the animal world are very similar!

Golden Retriever's Pure Excitement Over Seeing Friends at Day Care Is Everything
Considering just how important socializing our pets is, it's no surprise that some dogs really thrive in doggy day care. If their humans can't be around, they're all about getting in some playtime with other pups and hanging out with their friends. On Thursday, May 22, @cookiethegoldenretriver1 on TikTok shared this footage of the excitement her Golden Retriever has when it's time to see her friends at school. Nobody better get in her way, or they're getting knocked over! Here, we see Cookie right at the door, absolutely losing her mind with how excited she is to get in there and play. It's kind of mind blowing just how fast her little paws are going, trying to get that door. She might be setting a new record or something. Safe to say that day care must be one of her very favorite places. If Mom ever worries about her when she's not around, this must be a pretty reassuring sight to see! While watching the other videos that Cookie's mom has shared on TikTok, it seems like this Golden Retriever doesn't just love her friends hard — she loves her people just as much. For example, she might be a dog, but this is a straight up bear hug that Cookie is giving her kid! There's truly nothing better than snuggling with your pup, especially if your dog loves hugs like Cookie does, so I know her kiddo must have been on cloud nine! And in another TikTok video, Cookie is waiting so patiently by the window for her dad to come home and watching that driveway like a hawk. I can only imagine the happiness that ensues when they are reunited at the end of the day. Cookie has such a big heart and so much excitement to give. Never change, Cookie! 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever's Pure Excitement Over Seeing Friends at Day Care Is Everything first appeared on Parade Pets on May 25, 2025

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. From a cat that recently turned 24 (112 in human years) to a dog and cat being hilariously scolded for their "bad report card," viral pet stories have brought smiles to our faces this week. But we also love seeing our readers' pets and sharing their stories in our Newsweek Pet of the Week feature. If you want your pet to be involved next week, don't forget to follow the instructions at the end of this story. Winners Cookie and George cuddling together, something they often do. Cookie and George cuddling together, something they often do. Madeline Katan/ @cookieandgeorge/TikTok This week's Pet of the Week winners are the adorable George and Cookie, who found each other and a home after living on the streets of New Brunswick, New Jersey. "They were rescued from a parking lot in New Brunswick in 2021," owner Madeline Katan told Newsweek. George had lived there for eight years, while Cookie, a chronically ill stray, appeared around 2020. Since then, the two have been inseparable. "They have a love fest every day," she said, laughing about how they even "sneak off for a private tryst." The cats' connection has inspired Katan creatively. As an author, she's now envisioning a new project titled Cathattan: Cookie and George Take NYC by Storm. Though still in its early stages, it's a tribute to what she calls "a great love story—kind of like Cleopatra and Marc Antony, only hopefully with a happier ending." Finalists Dodger the Bassett Hound with his owner. Dodger the Bassett Hound with his owner. Grace Rosales This week's first finalist is Dodger, an 8-year-old basset hound with a big personality and penchant for dancing. "He loves to dance," owner Grace Rosales told Newsweek. But like any star, he has his moods. When he's upset, Dodger puts on his best "Don't look at me" face, a hilarious grumpy expression that captures his sassy nature. Next up this week is Rolo, a 3-year-old Siamese cat with a big frame and even bigger personality. Weighing nearly 20 pounds, he is little brother to 19-year-old Raven and best buds with the neighborhood cat, Rebel. Rolo the 3-year-old cat who has celebrity status. TJ Rolo thrives on attention, whether he's patrolling the garden for pests, charming shoppers at PetSmart, or showing off his tricks—yes, he knows his left from his right and literally jumps through hoops. A bona-fide "celebri-cat," Rolo has been on TV before, including with the local NBC affiliate and radio station WTMJ. "Rolo is a bit of a ham, always needing attention. He loves spending time with his daddies, as well as hanging out in our yard. It is his job to keep the gardens pest free," owner TJ told Newsweek. Marty the cat taking his supervising role seriously. "In my apartment there is no privacy and you are never alone. Marty insists the bathroom door remain open so he can "observe and supervise" any bathroom activities," owner Nancy Monicke told Newsweek. Behind the shower curtain, Marty watches like a furry little guardian, completely hidden, until you catch his eyes poking through the folds. He often leaves his owner in stitches. Cane Corso Refuses to Enter the Water but Then He Sees His Mom
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Fear isn't the first trait that comes to mind when you think of a Cane Corso—but a viral video proves that, regardless of size, some dogs still need a little extra reassurance from their favorite person. The TikTok video shared by Maritza Barona, 47, (@maritza_barona) shows five-year-old Blue, who weighs 180 lbs, wearing a life jacket with his paws in the pool. Barona's son and husband try to coax him into the pool, but he refuses. "He wanted mom," states the text layered over the moment she swims over and he puts his paws on her shoulders to enjoy a paddle. Newsweek spoke to Barona from Houston, Texas, about the heartwarming clip that has racked up 6.5 million views. (L-R) Two screenshots from the viral video showing Blue and his mom sitting and swimming in the pool. (L-R) Two screenshots from the viral video showing Blue and his mom sitting and swimming in the pool. TikTok/@maritza_barona She said: "I was tanning and Blue kept whining because he wanted to get in the water. I didn't realize the whining was because he wanted me to get in to hold him." The American Kennel Club (AKC) describes the Cane Corso as intelligent and affectionate. The website states: "Corsi are at a glance intimidating creatures. Their imposing appearance is their first line of defense against intruders." However, the reality of owning one is a little different. Barona said: "Cane Corso is a tough breed. But, he is a big goofball and a gentle giant with his family." She explained that he is a protective dog but the "biggest baby" when he is with the people he loves. "When cared for properly, they are loving, loyal, and deeply affectionate towards their family. "I have raised Blue since a newborn and I am his primary caregiver and I do everything for him. "I believe moms, in general, are just more nurturing and provide a sense of safety. Blue proved that by showing he did not trust the boys to get in and immediately got in with mom." So far, the May 11 clip has received over 934,000 likes and more than 6,000 comments. "He said I know who's keeping everyone alive in this house & it ain't yall. Where's mom?" said one user, and another wrote: "Well we know who's the only one being protected at all costs." "The way he's still scared and twice her size but makes her hold him," said a third commenter, and Barona shared: "When he was a puppy he always slept on my chest. I guess it's his comfort. He's not aware of his size." A fourth user wrote: "If we go down we go down together mom," and Barona replied: "That's how I felt! Clearly he was confident that I'm not letting him go down."
