Real Madrid kick off their Club World Cup campaign with Saudi Pro League runners-up Al Hilal on Wednesday evening. The La Liga giants will hope to impress in this tournament and bring their first piece of silverware to the club under new manager Xabi Alonso.
The former Bayer Leverkusen boss replaced Carlo Ancelotti at the end of the 2024/25 domestic season and has wasted no time getting to work at the Bernabeu with defenders Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold already brought into the squad during the summer transfer window.
Both could make their debuts for Madrid against Al Hilal who are going through a transition period of their own with former Inter Milan boss, Simone Inzaghi, now in charge. He faces a tough task leading out the Saudi club for their tournament opener against the 15-time European champions but can he mastermind a famous win?

Real Madrid face Al Hilal at 3pm ET in Miami on Wednesday, June 18 which equates to 8pm BST.
The match will take place at Hard Rock Stadium, which is the home of NFL outfit Miami Dolphins, and holds just over 65,000 spectators.
DAZN will be broadcasting each match of the tournament live, from the opener up to and including the final, for free in the UK.
All users can watch a live stream on television and mobile devices, all they need to do is sign up for the company's DAZN Freemium service, with the option to watch ad-free coverage for £14.99.

Ade Oladipo, Kelly Somers and Olivia Buzaglo will act as hosts for the coverage alongside former Football Italia presenter James Richardson.
And Conor McNamara will head the commentary team, with former Premier League players Andros Townsend, Michael Brown, Brad Friedel, Rob Green and Danny Higginbotham among the notable co-commentators.

Pep Guardiola has suggested Jack Grealish does have a future at Manchester City despite leaving him out of his squad for the Club World Cup. Bernardo Silva set to captain Manchester City after deciding to stay at Etihad
Bernardo Silva has confirmed he will stay at Manchester City for the coming season – and he looks set to wear the captain's armband. Off the pitch, there's more must-see sporting events on the way in July, including the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the Tour de France and the hotly-anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. But as all of this sporting action is spread across a handful of broadcasters in the UK, it can be tricky to decide which subscription best suits our sporting tastes. With this, we've taken a look at a selection of major sports broadcasters including DAZN, Sky Sports and TNT Sports, plus the best deals currently up for grabs. It includes nine dedicated Sky Sports channels, such as Golf, Tennis, Cricket and F1, meaning members can catch every practice, qualifier and race from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 3-6. Events to watch this month include the remaining NBA finals games, with the Tour de France starting on July 5. Looking further ahead, TNT Sports will once again broadcast select fixtures in the upcoming seasons of the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League. TNT Sports has attracted criticism for its commentary on certain sports, with some users taking to Trustpilot to vent their frustrations. One tennis fan found the Men's and Ladies French finals commentary 'dreadful'. A football fan said: 'If TNT Sports football producers believe commenters shouting and screaming over each other enhances the experience, so be it. Most people I talk to either watch with sound off or now just don't tune in. However, other fans were more positive, as one said: 'Giving five stars for Ally McCoist's match commentary. He's brilliant.'
