Clarke Makes Prediction For Next IPL: 'Think Dhoni, Kohli and Rohit Will...'

Last Updated: Michael Clarke expects MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to play the Indian Premier League next season. The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) concluded with a thrilling final, which Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won to secure their maiden title, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs. Led by Rajat Patidar, the team showcased exceptional form throughout the season, culminating in a victorious end to their 18-year pursuit of the trophy. This victory was a 'dream come true' for star batsman Virat Kohli, who has been with the franchise since its inception. Recently, former Australia captain Michael Clarke expressed his confidence in Kohli's participation in the next IPL season. Clarke also endorsed the return of Chennai Super Kings star MS Dhoni and Mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma. 'I think MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play in next year's IPL. MS Dhoni is massive. Every time Chennai plays, even in away games, there are more Chennai fans than any other fan. Sponsors, they are there because of MS Dhoni. The fans, they are there because of MS Dhoni," Clarke was quoted as saying on Beyond23 Cricket Podcast. 'He is the king of that franchise. They want him to keep playing and I don't think people realise the impact. When he decides to retire, it will be a huge loss to the franchise," he added. Notably, both Rohit and Kohli have recently retired from Test cricket, having already ended their T20I careers. They now participate solely in the One Day International (ODI) format for India at the international level. Chennai Super Kings star MS Dhoni faced considerable criticism as the five-time champions finished at the bottom of the points table, prompting many cricket enthusiasts to suggest that the 43-year-old should retire. Bad news for Kohli as RCB may be banned from IPL 2026 due to...

In this collection of pictures we shall know the reason why Royal Challengers Bengaluru could be banned from IPL 2025. Let's dive in. After winning the IPL 2025 title, preparations were made for a victory parade and grand celebration for Royal Challengers Bengaluru outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Meanwhile, a stampede broke out outside the stadium. In which 11 people lost their lives. After this, an FIR has been registered against RCB. Two officials of the Karnataka Cricket Association have also resigned. One arrest has also been made in this case. The RCB team is stuck in the middle of all this. After this case, the BCCI can take a big decision regarding RCB's participation in IPL 2026. An investigation is being conducted to find out who is responsible for such a big mistake in RCB's victory parade. In such a situation, there is a big question in front of BCCI that if RCB team's name comes up in this mistake, then what decision will it take next. Let us tell you that all the franchises in IPL work as commercial entities, but their participation is controlled by BCCI contracts and those contracts include many sections related to public safety. If the investigators directly link the RCB management to this serious negligence, then the BCCI may have to take major action against RCB to deliver justice and maintain the credibility of the league. On Tuesday, RCB defeated Punjab Kings and won their first title. After which the whole team and Bengaluru fans were very happy. The next day on Wednesday, the team reached Bengaluru, where they were going to celebrate the victory with their fans. But this festive atmosphere turned into mourning in no time. Due to the gathering of lakhs of people, there was a sudden stampede, in which 11 people lost their lives and many were injured.
