'Animal' fame Triptii Dimri made her Bollywood debut with the 2017 comedy Poster Boyz. But the journey to films has not been easy. In an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia, the actress revealed, 'While I was in college studying literature, one day, my brother's friend, who had bought a DSLR, shot some pictures of me in a park and randomly sent them to a modeling agency. The agency liked my pictures and called me after two weeks for an audition. I went for an audition, and I passed the audition.'

She added, 'Jab ek baar newspaper mein photos aane lagi naa tab unko thoda laga ki chalo. Maybe she's going in the right direction.' Phir modeling mein maza aana bandh ho gaya; ab acting karni hai toh. I started giving auditions in Delhi. Aur luckily ek santoor ki add mil gayi thi mujhe aur uska shoot Bombay mein tha. Phir Bombay aayi aur ussi dauran maine films mein auditions dena shuru kar diye the.'
Triptii also said, 'Poster Boys ke auditions chal rahe the; pehle audition mein fail ho gayi aur phir unko (casting team) to pata laga ki main Bombay mein hoon, toh unhone mujhe wapas bulaya aur dobara office jaake audition diya aur agle din pata chala ki selection ho gaya hai. I was shocked. Uss din jab maine parents ko bataya ki Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Shreyas Talpade ke saath film hai uss din se they were confident.'
After Animal , she was seen in mainstream films like Bad Newz and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. In a recent interview, the actress revealed she didn't find Animal as an anti-feminist movie like many others opined.
'I didn't look at it as an anti-feminist film. I don't give such tags to films. Even while doing Bulbbul and Qala, I never thought I was doing a feminist film. I connected with the characters, had faith in the directors and felt I should do it,' Triptii shared with Filmfare.

Jaat on OTT: Sunny Deol disappoints fans with film ‘as painful as Sikandar'

Jaat on OTT: Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda's Jaat received a tepid response at the box office, and its OTT release hasn't exactly set the digital world ablaze either. The film is facing harsh criticism for its unrealistic storyline, with some even finding it as underwhelming as Salman Khan's Sikandar. Also read: Sunny Deol was roped in for Jaat after this Tollywood actor declined it, reveals director The action thriller landed on Netflix on June 5, and its release was met with a mixed response. Several people took to social media to express their frustration, with many scratching their heads over the film's plot and over-the-top action. 'Watching #JaatOnNetflix 45 mins into it my 8yr old says the person who made this movie is the dumbest guy in the world,' shared one disappointed viewer. One wrote, 'Latest proof that the saviour genre is dead. Watching it was as painful as #Sikandar. Barely a Bollywood movie, a typical but outdated Tollywood action entertainer with 90% south crew & cast'. Another social media user shared, 'Finished watching Jaat. One of the most disappointing films I've seen in a long time. Not a single scene stood out and there was nothing engaging. Definitely didn't work for me'. However, some appreciated Randeep's performance. '#RandeepHooda as Ranatunga is one of the best villain arc written in recent times,' one wrote, with one mentioning, 'A rare gem #jaatonnetflix showcases how a villain should be portrayed.. Opposite a giant called #SUNNYDEOL as! Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh. Ruling people's heart #JAAT'. 'Jaat movie is actually good. Better than many masala movies and biggies which got success recently. Sunny Deol is slowly coming back to his form,' read one comment. "#JAAT is a decent regular south commercial film, highly running on mass elements & #GopichandMalineni done it again just like he promised 'MASS FEAST'... One time watch,' shared one. Jaat revolves around a mysterious man, played by Sunny, who chances upon a small village in Andhra Pradesh being oppressed by Ranatunga. The film also stars Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P Ravi Shankar and Babloo Prithiveeraj. It received mixed reviews, with some liking the over-the-top action while others being disappointed with the screenplay. At the time of the release, Jaat recently ran into controversy over a scene. In the film, the antagonist, Ranatunga, played by Randeep Hooda, threatens people inside a church with violence. He also stands in front of a crucifix while doing so. Though the makers blurred all religious imagery in the scene, the Christian community has called for a ban on the film. A video also showed protestors raising slogans of 'Randeep Hooda murdabad' for hurting religious sentiments. Despite lukewarm performance, the film will be back with Jaat 2, with Sunny reprising his role. Gopichand Malineni will also return to helm the sequel.

Deepika Padukone out of Kalki 2 movie? Actress faces ‘back-to-back project losses' after becoming mother: Report

Deepika Padukone's request for shorter work hours after becoming a mother is allegedly creating tension on film sets. The makers of Kalki 2 are considering trimming or removing her role, reported on Instagram. The news comes after her exit from Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Her alleged clash with the Animal director was widely reported. 'This could impact her career after back-to-back project losses,' the Instagram page with 2 million followers reported. LiveMint could not independently verify the claim. Kalki 2898 AD enjoyed massive success, minting ₹ 1,042.25 crore worldwide. The movie had national stars like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. While fans have been excited about its sequel, Kalki 2, reports earlier said that the shoot could be delayed after Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their baby daughter, Dua Padukone Singh. According to the Bollywood actress, her daughter is her main focus now and she is in no hurry to return to work. She wants to raise her child herself, like her mother did. Amid the speculation, director Nag Ashwin said Deepika's role was the backbone of Kalki. It would not be possible to make the sequel without her, he added. Meanwhile, fans reacted to the report of Kalki 2 being made without Deepika Padukone. 'This is a fact that new mothers do face problems, especially when they want to have work-life balance! Even the big celebs are struggling who want to have a career as well as be around their growing kids!' wrote one user. Another wondered, 'But without her how the mother part will be played!' 'There must be equality in payment you want to make actress work even after having a too such a big actress,' wrote another while making an apparent reference to the Sandeep Reddy Vanga episode. 'She should get some flexibility. It's very logical. Women enjoy flexibility even in the corporate world. This is just a film industry, and you can stretch on the timelines,' came from another. Deepika Padukone, one of India's top-paid actresses, has often spoken against unequal pay in films. An old interview of hers resurfaced as rumours grew about her exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film Spirit. In the interview, Deepika said she had once left a project because the director couldn't pay her fairly even though she liked the script. Though Deepika did not specifically speak about Spirt, the director posted a sharp message online. Sandeep Reddy accused an unnamed actress of disrespect and leaking story details. Reports say Deepika was cast opposite Prabhas and offered ₹ 20 crore, her biggest fee yet. She has now been replaced by Triptii Dimri at a much lower fee.
