Chef's 'most delicious and creamy' mashed potato recipe uses just 3 ingredients

Daily Mirror20-05-2025

A TikTok chef has shared her "most delicious" mashed potato recipe and it's super simple - only requiring a handful of ingredients and a few minutes of your time
Mashed potatoes are a luxurious addition to the Sunday roast, and they pair perfectly with British classics like toad in the hole and shepherd's pie. But if you're on the hunt for the ultimate creamy mashed potato recipe that doesn't require a pantry full of ingredients, a TikTok creator claims she has the answer.
Food content creator Massara shares "easy recipes and pack lunches" on her TikTok page @simplymasarra, where she has amassed an impressive following. She says that her mashed potato recipe delivers "the most delicious creamy mash". And as an added bonus, these creamy spuds only require three ingredients, plus salt and pepper for seasoning.

The recipe is also straightforward, consisting of just five steps, so even the most inexperienced cooks can try it at home, reports the Express.

Massara explained that to start, you need to cube and boil your potatoes in a pan of water with a pinch of salt. "They take about 20 minutes," she advised. Next, Massara drains the water from her potatoes and mashes them. Then it's time to add some milk.
You can use any type of milk you prefer, though the cook recommends using 150mls. "Don't worry, " she added. "This isn't too much."
Once your milk is in, combine the milk and potatoes and give it another good mash. Massara then mixes in two tablespoons of olive oil, before seasoning with salt and pepper.
"Then you are done," she said. "Enjoy."
How to make 'delicious' creamy mashed potatoes
Step one: Cube your potatoes. Boil in a pan of water with salt for 20 minutes.
Step two: Drain the water from your potatoes and mash.
Step three: Pour in 150ml of milk and mash again.

It is a miracle, says lone survivor of Air India plane crash

Vishwash Kumar Ramesh told The Sun: 'It's a miracle I survived. I am OK physically but I feel terrible that I could not save Ajay.' The Air India aircraft struck a medical college hostel in a residential part of Ahmedabad last week, killing 241 of the 242 people on board, 52 of whom were British. The sole surviving passenger was Mr Ramesh. The 40-year-old told The Sun he tried to get seats together with his brother but was not able to. He said: 'If we had been sat together we both might have survived. 'I tried to get two seats together but someone had already got one. Me and Ajay would have been sitting together. 'But I lost my brother in front of my eyes. So now I am constantly thinking 'Why can't I save my brother?' Mr Ramesh was in seat 11A, next to one of the aircraft's emergency exits. Last week's crash was one of the deadliest plane accidents in terms of the number of British nationals killed. Investigators are yet to determine the cause of the crash. On Tuesday, an Air India flight on the same route as the plane that crashed last week was cancelled because of 'precautionary checks', the airline said. Air India's website shows the Flight AI159 was initially delayed by one hour and 50 minutes but was later cancelled. A flight from Gatwick to Amritsar, India, was also axed. The cancelled flights were scheduled to be operated by a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which is the same type of aircraft that crashed shortly after take-off at Ahmedabad on June 12.
