Hajj Ministry announces successful movement of pilgrims to Arafat

ARAFAT — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Thursday the successful completion of the movement of pilgrims to Mount Arafat on the ninth day of Dhul Hijjah, confirming that operations proceeded smoothly and on schedule.
The transfer was conducted under a unified operational model that links service and regulatory agencies through the Joint Operations and Dispatching Center — one of the most notable innovations in this year's Hajj season.
Pilgrims were transported via modern buses and the Mashair Train, under strict timetables and high security, resulting in an orderly distribution across Arafat camps with no significant congestion.
This effort is part of a comprehensive strategy developed by the ministry to manage pilgrim flow during the 1446 Hajj season.
It included advanced simulations to prepare for various scenarios, readiness assessments of field teams, and close coordination among participating agencies.Artificial intelligence was used to analyze real-time data and predict crowd density zones, allowing dynamic redirection of pilgrim groups as needed.A 24/7 monitoring and control center supported by a smart camera network enabled instant decision-making in coordination with security and service authorities.The digital 'Nusuk' card also played a vital role in managing pilgrim movement.Linked with the 'Nusuk' and 'Tawakkalna' platforms, the card's integrated QR code enabled tracking of pilgrim entries and exits within the holy sites, enhancing punctuality and crowd control.The ministry said the success of the Arafat transfer marks a critical milestone in this year's Hajj operations and sets the stage for the upcoming stages — including movement to Muzdalifah and stone-throwing rituals at Mina — as part of a sustainable operational model.

Hajj Pilgrims Perform Stoning of Devil at Jamarat on First Day of Tashreeq
Hajj pilgrims were performing the symbolic stoning of the devil on the first day of Tashreeq on Saturday. They will stone the devil with three pebbles at Jamarat after having had performed the first phase of the stoning on Friday and ending their state of Ihram. Also on Friday, which was the first day of Eid al-Adha, the pilgrims performed the Ifada tawaf of the holy Kaaba at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
