With a year's worth of preparations to defend the Stanley Cup, the
Florida Panthers
are confident as they enter the finals. Commenting on the same, star forward Sam Bennett said, 'We're a super-confident team on the road this year.'
He also added, 'I think we almost prefer it this year. It's a little different, less time at home, but we're up for the challenge.'
Additionally,
Sam Bennett
commented on being away from home ice and said, 'You have no distractions. You're just with the team, you're with your guys, and your whole focus is playing hockey. Sometimes that's a little nice. Especially this time of year, it gets a little busy down here with all the excitement, all the family and friends want to come out.

Sometimes that can be nice.'
Paul Maurice
, head coach of the Panthers, also commented on being away from home ice for the finals, he shared, 'I don't think our game changes a whole heck of lot. We're not a heavy match team, maybe that's part of it. We've got pretty good forward depth there, so we don't feel that when we get home and you get home-ice advantage from the match that it's that big a deal.'

Maurice also added that he believed that the Panthers could perform anywhere. He added, 'I felt in Game 3 against Tampa that I actually chased the match more than I should have and took our team out of a rhythm. The bench management doesn't change, so they don't have to think about the game differently. … You don't need to feel really good to play for us, you've just got to play as hard as you can. You can do that anywhere.'

But then came the MVP reveal. A name rang out, yet cameras caught another player frozen, almost expecting it to be his. The mood quietly shifted. Whispers spread fast. Fans took to their screens. Some cheered, others questioned. Even former greats had thoughts. Behind all the celebration, a quiet doubt lingered: was the wrong player crowned the hero? Magic Johnson thinks Tyrese Haliburton was the real star of the series Pascal Siakam was named MVP of the Eastern Conference Final on Monday, May 27, shortly after the Indiana Pacers defeated Game 6 New York Knicks. He received the Larry Bird Trophy. Pascal Siakam performed admirably. Over six games, he averaged 24.8 points, 5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals. Three of his games saw him score above thirty points. He was steady and strong in every match. The vote, though, was quite near. Official results show 5 votes for Pascal Siakam. Tyrese Haliburton received four. Many arguments appeared from that one-vote difference. NBA great Earvin Magic Johnson is one of those who spoke out. Magic Johnson stated on ESPN during an interview on June 2 that Tyrese Haliburton should have received the prize. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Hot Tip From Tech Millionaire: If You Have £250, Do This SmartlifeTrendsDaily Read More Undo Magic remarked, "You have the NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and, in my opinion, the MVP throughout the Eastern Conference Playoffs is Tyrese Haliburton.' He clapped for his buddy and joined in the chants for "MVP.' Tyrese Haliburton later remarked about Siakam with great respect in an interview with The Athletic on May 28. "We had a vision when we brought him here.' It's particularly wonderful that he is here. He said, "He is like a big brother to me; I can trust him, talk to him, and lean on him." 'No mention of stampede, where is our humanity': Social media reacts to RCB celebrations continuing amid 11 deaths

The celebrations marking Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) maiden IPL title took a tragic turn on Wednesday, as a stampede near Chinnaswamy Stadium left over 50 fans injured or unwell, with at least eight feared dead. The incident unfolded during a grand event organised to celebrate RCB's IPL 2025 triumph. As news of the tragedy spread, people across the country took to social media questioning why the celebrations inside the stadium continued even as chaos and suffering unfolded just outside. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo Amid reports of stampede, Karnataka Deputy CM said that the special felicitation event was ended within 10 minutes. How social media reacted? "Unbelievable! Victory celebration broadcast of RCB parade continues. No mention of stampede. NOT DONE," read a post on X. Live Events "1 parade, 0 brains, & now 7 funerals. What kind of idiots plans a mass celebration without barricades, without strategy? This isn't a celebration gone wrong, this is an administration that went brain-dead," posted a user on 'X' "The most gut-wrenching aspect of the #ChinnaswamyStadium stampede is the shocking apathy shown—celebrations continued as bodies lay lifeless. Where is our humanity? These young Kannadigas died for nothing, without even respect in death. It's disgraceful, inhuman, and unforgivable. Those responsible must be named, shamed, and held criminally accountable.," posted another user. Bengaluru stampede claims 11 lives As Chief Minister Siddaramaiah led the first round of felicitation of the RCB stars on the steps of Vidhana Soudha, trouble was brewing close by which the administration failed to anticipate. Crowds had swelled outside of the stadium with little or no control on the movement of people. It looked like a sea of humanity with hundreds of thousands of people over a kilometre or two. The stampede took place when thousands of fans attempted to enter the stadium in a hurry from various gates. Police at the scene transported the injured to ambulances and shifted them to the nearby Bowring Hospital. Police stated that the ambulances were unable to move quickly to the hospital due to the overcrowding on the roads. The government of Karnataka had earlier cancelled the victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, citing security reasons.
