On Thursday, a video emerged of Carter celebrating the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) Femenil championship berth alongside her teammates.
Carter helped Adelitas de Chihuahua advance to the title game, alongside several other prominent players such as Brooke McCarty-Williams, Danielle Adams, Alicia Jenkins and Victoria Vivians.
According to Latina Basket, Carter has posted 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game during her time with Adelitas de Chihuahua.
All starters for Adelitas de Chihuahua are averaging double figures.
Chennedy Carter proved to have incredible talent during her last season in the WNBA, where she played alongside Angel Reese and under head coach Teresa Weatherspoon on the Chicago Sky.

During her last season in the WNBA, Carter posted 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. She also added 1.1 steals and 0.2 blocks per game, proving to have immense talent on both sides of the ball.
While she led the Sky in scoring and was clearly one of the most talented guards in the league, the WNBA season tipped off with Carter unsigned.

Before her time with the Sky, Chennedy Carter also spent time with the Los Angeles Sparks and Atlanta Dream. She played two seasons in Atlanta and one season in Los Angeles, averaging double figures in both seasons with the Dream.
While Chennedy Carter takes the extra steps to help Adelitas de Chihuahua win the league title, her former team, the Chicago Sky, has been struggling all season.

With head coach Tyler Marsh at the helm, the Sky are 3-8 on the season, having lost four of their last five games.

Potential New Expansion Team Revealed After WNBA Files Trademark

Potential New Expansion Team Revealed After WNBA Files Trademark originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The WNBA continues its push for growth and expansion. This year marked the inaugural season for the Golden State Valkyries, bringing the league to 13 teams and setting a new attendance record for a team's first three home games. Advertisement But the league isn't stopping there. Two more expansion teams are set to join in 2026. Toronto has already announced its team name — the Toronto Tempo — while the Portland-based team has yet to make an official announcement. On Thursday, word spread that the Portland group filed a trademark for the name "Portland Fire," a key step in the approval process before making it official. While there is a chance it is denied, it is unlikely. The name Portland Fire was originally used for the WNBA team that played in the city from 2000-02. Unfortunately, the organization struggled financially, losing about $1 million a year. After folding, its players were redistributed to other teams through a dispersal draft. Advertisement The Fire competed for three seasons, finishing with records of 10-22, 11-21, and 16-16. Some of their notable players included Sophia Witherspoon, Sylvia Crawley, Jackie Stiles, DeMya Walker, Ticha Penicheiro and Rita Williams. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert talks to the media.© Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images The WNBA certainly plans to expand beyond 15 teams. Cities reportedly in the mix include Cleveland, Nashville, Philadelphia, Houston and others. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert admitted it's not an easy process to expand. "These can either take a very long time to negotiate or it can happen pretty quickly if you find the right ownership group with the right arena situation," Engelbert said. Can 'Supernova' Caitlin Clark become the most famous American athlete? Colin Cowherd makes shocking comparison

Much has been made of Caitlin Clark's effect on the WNBA. But where does she stack up against all American athletes? Fox Sports commentators Nick Wright and Colin Cowherd make the case that could surpass everyone else — except maybe the best NFL quarterbacks. Advertisement "Once Steph (Curry) and LeBron (James) retire, will there be an active American athlete that's more famous than her?" Wright said. "I think she will be more famous than every baseball player. She might already be. Every hockey player, all of the U.S. men's national team. "And I think she's already more famous than every NBA player expect (Kevin Durant), Steph and LeBron. And I don't see any (other American NBA players) catching her. I think she's a supernova of fame and talent." Celebrate Caitlin Clark's remarkable rookie season with IndyStar's book Clark won two national Player of the Year honors in leading Iowa to consecutive national championship games, and last year she won WNBA Rookie of the Year and made first-team All-WNBA for the Indiana Fever. She has marketing deals with State Farm, Gatorade, Wilson Sporting Goods, Nike and many others. Advertisement "She's the Tiger (Woods) of 20 years ago on tour," Cowherd said, noting that when Clark was recently injured, WNBA television ratings dropped. "Nothing against the WNBA. She's literally changing the entire league economy." Get IndyStar's Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark coverage sent directly to your inbox with our Caitlin Clark Fever newsletter.
