arrived in Ooty on Monday afternoon on a five-day visit. He arrived in Coimbatore by air and took the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam-Kotagiri Road to reach Ooty.

Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru and Nilgiris SP N S Nisha received Stalin at Kunjapanai on the Mettupalayam-Kotagiri Road.He was also given a grand reception at various points, including Donnington bridge, Kotagiri town, and Kattabettu junction by DMK cadre and workers, besides the public.
Books and shawls were handed over to him as gifts. Stalin stopped his vehicle wherever people had been waiting to welcome him and accepted their gifts.The chief minister will stay at Tamizhagam, a Raj-era house.
Ooty, especially the Tamizhagam Road, has been spruced up for his visit to the hill town.The CM is likely to visit the Theppakadu elephant camp in the
Mudumalai Tiger Reserve
(MTR) on Tuesday evening. In view of his visit, the elephant camp will remain closed to visitors on Tuesday evening, said a release from MTR officials. However, visitors will be allowed in the morning to watch the elephants feeding at the camp.According to sources, Stalin will also inaugurate 127th flower show at the Government Botanical Garden (GBG) on Thursday.
