The Karate Kid Part III (1989)
Before Karate Kid: Legends, the last time Macchio played Daniel LaRusso in a feature film was The Karate Kid Part III. After returning to Los Angeles after a trip to Okinawa, Daniel moves in with Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki 'Pat' Morita), and the two open a bonsai shop. Daniel has no interest in fighting, but he's forced to display aggression after the arrival of Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), a shady businessman with a dark past.
Silver's friend is disgraced sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove), and he plans to exact his revenge by driving a wedge between Daniel and Miyagi. It all culminates with the All-Valley Tournament, where Daniel must take on the ruthless Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan). Part III is a good refresher for the later seasons of Cobra Kai.

Jerry Maguire (1996)
The two characters that have defined Tom Cruise's career are Ethan Hunt in Mission: Impossible and Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell in Top Gun. Jerry Maguire has a legitimate claim for the third most recognizable character in Cruise's filmography. Directed by Cameron Crowe, Jerry Maguire stars Cruise as the titular protagonist, a passionate sports agent who starts his own management firm after being fired.
Life on his own isn't easy for Jerry, who has little money and only one employee: Dorothy Boyd (Renee Zellweger). All Jerry has is one client, football player Rod Ridwell (Cuba Gooding Jr.), who begs his agent to show him the money. Jerry Maguire is a showcase for all the best aspects of Cruise — charisma, looks, emotion, and talent. It's the role that should have won him his first Oscar.

Dog (2022)
Who doesn't love good boys and girls? Channing Tatum teamed with a canine friend for the heartfelt Dog, a road trip comedy he directed with Reid Carolin. Former U.S. Army Ranger Jackson Briggs (Tatum) faces his toughest adversary to date: Lulu, an aggressive female Belgian Malinois. Lulu is the former military dog of Briggs' late comrade.
Briggs and Lulu must travel down the West Coast and get to a funeral on time. The trip doesn't go according to plan, and multiple setbacks occur. Over time, Briggs and Lulu realize they're not so different from each other. Both are suffering and need help, something they can provide for each other if they're willing to open up.

Michigan City officer's shooting of South Bend man ruled justified due to 'deadly threat'
The actions of a Michigan City officer who fatally shot a South Bend man during a pursuit in April 2025 were ruled justified. On May 29, the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office, acting as special prosecutor, found that the officer who shot a man on April 4 was legally justified in using deadly force to defend himself. Michigan City Police identified the officer who fired his gun as Sgt. Michael Oberle — a 15-year veteran of the department, The Tribune's reporting partners at WNDU-TV said — however a report from the prosecutor's office does not identify the officer by name. A Michigan City officer conducted a traffic stop around 5:30 p.m. at the 5800 block of South Franklin Street, near Walmart, for driving without headlights in reduced visibility, a Michigan City Police Department press release said. The driver and passenger in the car gave the officer their names. However, the passenger's name, who identified himself as 'Jose Martinez,' was associated with several active warrants, the prosecutor's office said. The officer began to investigate if the passenger was the same man, the prosecutor's press release said, but at this time, the passenger, who was later identified as Jose Meza, fled from the vehicle. Multiple officers, including Oberle, pursued Meza — a 21-year-old from South Bend — and observed Meza pull a firearm from his waistband and point it at the officers, the prosecutor's office said. Oberle was backing up the officer that initially conducted the traffic stop, Michigan City Police Chief Marty Corley told The Tribune. Meza fled across parking lots and hedges at a business before pointing his gun at Oberle, the prosecutor said. 'Believing that Meza posed a deadly threat, (Oberle) fired multiple shots, striking Meza,' the prosecutor's office report said. Meza fell to the ground, began to reach for his gun and Oberle fired two more shots, the prosecutor said. Meza was rendered first aid and transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the press release said. Indiana State Police District 13 Criminal Investigations Division investigated the shooting, finding evidence that showed Meza attempted to fire multiple times, but his gun malfunctioned, the prosecutor's office said. Oberle was placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation, a press release from Michigan City Police Department said. Indiana State Police presented the investigation to the county prosecutor's office for further review on May 21. The investigation is now closed, Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney Jacob R. Taulman said in a news release, and no charges were filed against Oberle. WWE WrestleMania 42 No Longer Taking Place In New Orleans
WWE WrestleMania 42 in the Big Easy might not be a done deal anymore. According to a new report from Wrestlenomics, WrestleMania 42 will no longer take place in New Orleans in 2026. A statement provided to Wrestlenomics claims New Orleans will get a future WrestleMania in an unspecified year. In addition, New Orleans will get two major events, one being the 2026 Money In The Bank event. Advertisement 'The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership,' the statement from the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation reads. 'Which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.' New Orleans & Company is a marketing group that promotes the New Orleans tourism industry. This is similar to how the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority promoted WrestleMania 41. Update: Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp is reporting that WWE confirmed the Wrestlenomics report is true. In addition, the WWE source noted that the change is part of a larger deal that adds the 2026 Money In The Bank event and a future Wrestlemania event. Update 2: A new report claims WrestleMania will return to Las Vegas in 2026. Where will WrestleMania 42 take place? WWE has not announced where WrestleMania 42 will now take place. Money In The Bank typically takes place in June or July. However, a date for the 2026 event was not mentioned. It was noted that the UFC and MITB events are part of a broader 'multi-event, multi-year agreement' being negotiated between local organizers and WWE and UFC parent company TKO. Advertisement New Orleans was only announced as the WrestleMania 42 location in February. That announcement came courtesy of The Rock, who delivered the news on an episode of SmackDown that taped in the city. WrestleMania 42 was originally scheduled to take place on April 11-12, 2026 at the Caesars Superdome. The venue previously hosted two other WrestleManias in 2014 (XXX) and 2018 (34). WWE had also gone as far as announcing televised WrestleMania 42 week events in New Orleans. However, these events are also likely going to be rescheduled.
